"the hotel was impressively modern and smart, in fact, when I arrived I thought it was so smart that this could not be the hotel that I booked for. The staff were helpful, and everything in my room was very new. The hotel itself has obviously only been built recently. Of course, there were the usual touches like free soap in the bathroom. But the hotel was in a rough area, and some people, especially women and older people might not feel happy staying in such an area. It might be necessary for them to arrive and leave by taxi. One of the local cafes did not seem keen to serve a foreigner, but I did find my way to the main road, and bought a nice gyro - like a donner kebab."

"This hotel is indeed in a beautiful location but it does not even begin to live up to a 5 star rating. The whole hotel was drab and the decor lacked imagination. We were half board and the restaurant was very poor, very badly organised with uninspiring food of a low standard. The only other option was to pay for the ala carte restaurant which was grossly overpriced. In fact everything in the hotel was overpriced. Most of the hotel staff were totally disinterested. Rooms are basic with little privacy as you can hear everything from adjoining rooms. Other guests smoking on the next door balcony filled our room with smoke - even though we requested a non-smoking room!! Definitely would not recommend this hotel and we would not go back. "
