  • "We had a lovely time at the Pela Hotel. It was a very quiet resort generally (probably owing to the fact it was the end of the season and the locals were packing up for the winter) but if you just want a few good restaurants and cheap and friendly tavernas then this is ideal. The hotel itself was clean and smart and the family who ran it were very friendly. There were no children around and very few English people. When we arrived we were told that there was no room for us at the hotel because the XL collapse had meant that people were stuck/having rescue packages, but we were put up in the hotel next door and given a wonderful dinner by way of compensation. The Breakfast was good and there was always plenty of food. Only down side was that towels were only changed twice while we were there (9 nights) and there were lots of wasps around, but that seemed to be so for the rest of the resort due to the time of year (late September)."
