"Hotel owned by a very friendly family. The main reception areas are clean. The pool is quite big, but the shallow end is very small - children need to be good swimmers. The water was cloudy and dirty - it wasn't possible to see the bottom of the pool. If you dived down to the bottom in the deep water, algae could be seen growing. Insect larvae were living in the water. The room was quite big, but the bathroom was basic even for Greece. There was an aircon unit in the room, and €7 a day got a remote control to switch it on. But in our room it did not work. Breakfast was very limited and without any kind of Greek flavour. Nearest restaurants and shops were around 2.5 km walk away. Beach on this side of the island is very rocky and stony - you need to go to the other side of the island if you want sandy beaches."
Top Tip:
"Walk left out of the hotel to the main road and on the right you will see a small restaurant. Very friendly, cheap, and perfect for lunch."

"A very cosy and friendly hotel. Nice view around and has an open pool. The beach was not so close, but I liked the option of the bus taking us there. The food and refreshment drinks were very good."
Top Tip:
"On the way to the beach there was a small greek place where the owner was very nice and offered excellent fresh food. He even offered figs from the tree right away... I don't have the name unfortunately."

"the food was all inclusive but they never had a clue you never got a choice for your evening meal they had to keep going to the shops for ice cream and bread the sheets and towels were not changed unless you asked and the room was sort of cleaned once in 7 days we were they there was no entertainment we all had to keep going into rhodes each day so it was not very relaxing holiday but the people was freindly"

"only 2 places one was billys bar and the other one was duncans thats about it"

Hotel Details - Rhodian Sun Hotel, Tailor Made Holiday

Rhodian Sun is a three star family run hotel, located in the area of Tholos. Rhodes town is 17 Km away and can be accessed by bus or taxi at all times. The hotel is within a walking distance from the beach at 600 metres and the guests can eliminate the distance with the shuttle bus of the hotel, free of charge, which runs to and from the beach, and the nearest resorts Tholos and Paradisi villages, both at a distance of 1,5km as well as the famous Valley of the Butterflies.

Accommodation

The hotel consists of 65 rooms and offers to all guests the facilities of air conditioning, music, telephone, satellite television and wireless Internet zone at high speeds. All rooms include shower and balconies with view to either the sea or the mountain and the swimming pool. The guests of the hotel have the comfort of using the bar and the reception services 24hrs a day and two swimming pools at certain times. The reception services include the transmission of facsimile documents as well as post mail.

Food & Beverage

The bar provides food and beverages as well as the traditional restaurant at specified times. Breakfast, lunch and dinner include a wide variety of choices from Greek traditional to International cuisine. The cocktail bar offers, a range of cocktails, beverages and snacks at all times.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30) and dinner (19:00-21:00), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During lunch & dinner spirits, coca cola, 7up, local beer or wine are offered. Snacks such sandwiches, cheese pies and hot dogs are available from 10:30-12:30 & 16:30-18:30. Tea & coffee time with cookies is also from 10:30-12:30 & 16:30-18:30. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like spirits, coca cola, 7up, beer, wine, cocktails or long drinks (vodka, whiskey & gin) are served from 21:00-22:30. Some of the above drinks are also on offer from 10:30-12:30 & 16:30-18:30.

Sports & Leisure

The guests can entertain themselves with the free pool table and table tennis of the hotel or the video games. International satellite television is available to the guests for the coverage of the main sport events and news. Children television is also a favorable aspect. The hotel organises Greek nights on a weekly basis with live Greek music and dancing, there is also a B.B.Q and Greek buffet.

All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment

Leisure facilities at the hotel include pool table, table tennis and two swimming pools (certain times).

Chargeable Extras

Reflexology Treatment Centre & beautician are available at a charge.

Facilities & Services

Necessary items for holidays such as beach equipment and souvenirs can be purchased from the hotels mini market at competitive prices. The hotel has lately included to its facilities a small Reflexology treatment center that is consisted by a reflexologist a dietologist and a beautician specialized in nails treatment.
