"On a 4 night stay dissapointed to spend only 2 nights at Atlas Medina Spa Hotel
1st 2 nights in Hotel over the Road no reason given . English was understood more than I expected."
Top Tip:
"The Ourika Valley is worth a vist allow a full day take your time and extra care if hiking up to one of the waterfalls ."

"We stayed at the Atlas Medina & Spa Hotel in Marraketch. It is not a 5 star hotel. We were put in a room that stank of drains and had to move rooms. We opted for half board which was good value The breakfasts were fairly good,but the dinners were limited in choice. The weather for end of Oct. early Nov. was cool (14 deg C)and quite wet and we should have taken coats. The swimming pool is not heated and very few people dared to go in. On the positive side, the hotel staff were friendly and generally helpful and the centre of Medina is only a short taxi ride (20-30Dms)"
Top Tip:
"We hired a mini taxi for a 5 hour tour 250Dms and visited the palace, the tombs, the gardens, a very posh Riad and various souks. The on and off tour bus which stops near the hotel is a good alternative for getting around. The Square at night is a must and eating at one of the stalls is an experience. For eating, the Taverna, 20 mins walk from the hotel is good particularly in hot weather."

"It's a nice hotel but definitely not 5* service as far as UK ratings go. The lounge area and breakfast were impressive. The spa cost as much as UK spa's, so relatively expensive. It was a scenic walk to the new medina. Not good if you are unable to walk much and the taxi's are harder to negotiate with from here."
Top Tip:
"L'Oriental restaurant was about 5 minutes walk away and was the best service we experienced in all of Marrakesh - And a gorgeous setting. They also provided entertainment of belly dancers which was a great surprise!:)"

"The hotel was good and although in the first room we were given the air conditioning didn't work they moved us to another. It is worth having a room which faces the pool/garden and was nice sitting out on the balcony. The food was very good with a large buffet of soup, salads, hot meals and desserts every evening and I would recommend half board as it doesnt cost much more. Drinks at the hotel bar are very expensive though."
Top Tip:
"If you want to go to Essaouria make sure you book the Supratours coach long enough in advance. We tried to book the day before and they were all full. If you decide to hire a grand taxi for the day make sure you agree clearly how much and where you are going to pay (on return or in Essaouria)."

The Atlas Medina and Spa is located in the mythic and oriental city of Marrakech. Constructed in the moresque style of the 30's, this hotel has a unique charm. Situated in a huge beautiful garden this property is designed to provide comfort, the spacious rooms overlook the swimming pool or the gardens.
