"Having stayed there before we knew what to expect and although we had not been there since 2005 we were not disappointed. Only one problem was that we were given an appartment overlooking the lower pool which is very close to the bar and entertainment area which did become very noisy of a night time and being in our 60's it was quite disturbing. When booking we requested an appartment overlooking the upper pool but upon arrival were told that that block was reserved for RCI customers only. However, this did not spoil our holiday. Both my husband and myself love Alfagar Village Appartments and will definately return there again, possibly next year, but will then pay extra and have an appartment overlooking the sea. The area where Alfagar is situated is lovely, the beaches are great and very close. Plenty of restaurants and night life and what makes it even better is no "Brits" misbehaving in the streets, pubs and night clubs - great. The people everywhere are really lovely, friendly and cannot do enough for you. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would like to be kept advised of any further fantastic offers you have for next year. One last thing and that is I feel that the cleaning staff could have done a little more in the appartments. Last time we were there all the cleaning staff were Portugese and very helpful, this time they were mostly from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania etc, and not very helpful and could not be communicated with at they did not understand what you were saying. But this did not upset our holiday."
Top Tip:
"Alfagar Village Appartments is great for people of all ages. Staff are very helpful. All entertainment is just 5 minutes by car or at least a 10-15minute walk. Restaurants are plenty and all kinds of food is available - by try the Portugese food - it is really fantastic."
