  • "Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Hotel was far nicer than the majority of the 5 star hotels i have stayed at..... It is "out of the way, off the beaten track" but if it's a layed back, quiet restful holiday your after, you will not find any better! Had a great time!!"

  • "Hotel in a village outside Funchal. No entertainment near to hand. Very quiet hotel - so if it is a rest away from noise this is the place to stay. Food very good, service excellent. Would say not 5* needs a bit of updating round pool area and fridges in rooms etc. No good providing mini bar without a fridge. The Barbecue restaurant attached to hotel is excellent and good value."
