  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, hotel is modern and well-equipped. Didn't use hotel bar or restaurant (except for breakfast) as nearby establishments offered better value. Complimentary shuttle to/from Funchal is very convenient. Disappointing that Spa facilities (particularly indoor pool & gym) don't open until 10:00 am, and that there is an extra charge for their use. Very pleasant small coastal town (no Macdonalds or similar 'chain' outlets), but not suitable for those in search of peace and tranquility owing to proximity to airport."
