  • "Very pleasant hotel with nice decor, friendly staff and a good restaurant. The swimming pool was pleasantly warm, but I couldn't get warm water for a bath one day. This happened at two other Madeiran hotels we visited and seemed to be the norm. The Turkish bath wasn't working, nor was the jacuzzi and the bar area near reception seemed very dead, but we still enjoyed our stay."
