"The staff were helpful and friendly. Room service was very good. The hotel was clean but some of the equipment was in need of maintenance or replacement. We were surprised there was no electric kettle, crockery or cutlery to make simple drinks and snacks at lunchtime or supper time in our room (we were staying half board). Quality and variety of food was good except for fresh fruit and salads. However the quality of drinks from the machines was poor, both tea/coffee and fruit juice."

"ALTHOUGH THIS WAS A NICE HOTEL IT WAS A SHAME THAT WE DID NOT HAVE THE USE OF ALL THE HOTEL AS PART OF IT WAS CLOSED OFF(BUT NO REDUCTION IN COST OF HOLIDAY)"

"Arriving at 10pm we were rather worried to find the Golf Trinidad closed for refurbishment. However, a hotel employee met us and took us to the nearby Hotel Portobello. This is a 5 star hotel and there were no extra charges."

"the hotel was very good value, but I would say it needs a re-furb....
Staff didn't speak much english, but were very helpful but when abroad I prefer that... there were lots of spanish guests which I always think is preferable to more "loutish nations""
