Great bargain, this small apartment complex is situated a short stroll from Cala Finestrat Beach, within easy access of Benidorm centre and with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Apartments are well looked after by the owner/manager and consist of a bedroom with twin beds, kitchenette with fridge/freezer and two cooking rings, Satelite TV and all have a safety deposit box (local charge). All have air conditioning (daytime during the summer). Please note there is a €60 refundable breakage deposit per apartment payable on arrival.For guests booking bed & breakfast or half board, all meals are taken in the Restaurant "La Casita" next door.

The Gemelos 24 apartments are situated 100 mts from the beach in La Cala, Finestrat. The area consists of numerous bars, restaurants and shops. It is also fairly close to the shopping centre La Marina, Carrefour hipermarket, and Terra Mítica theme park. Built in 2005. Apartments have two bedrooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed. There is a living room with a sofa bed for two people, a bathroom, a shower room and kitchen. There is also a balcony with views over the Mediterranean (see photos). The apartments have a swimming pool with green areas and a children play area plus paddle tennis. The gym and sauna are subject to the regulations of the community. Television and washing machine included in the price. There is a supplement for garage/parking space, when available, and rental of a safety deposit box. The apartment sleeps 4/6 people. Price includes, change of linen (towels and sheets) weekly, electricity and maintenance.

There is also a conference room, laundry and room services and those arriving by car may take advantage of the hotel's car park and garage facilities

The Alone is a well known and popular hotel in the Finestrat area of benidorm. Situated a short stroll from the beach and a close to a variety of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself features a large pool with a water slide, a kids pool and two jacuzzis all set in a tropical garden area. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols available free of charge.There is a games room for children and a pool table. There is a bar, pool bar and a buffet restaurant and the hotel hosts both day and night entertainment. Rooms are all fitted with a full en suite bathroom, telephone, satellite/cable TV, air conditioning, safe, terrace or balcony and central heating.

The apartments are basic, as expected with 2 star accomodation but there are certain issues which can be easily addressed. The TV didn't work, remote batteries flat, on off switch faulty. The bathroom light bulb was blown and generally the place looked tired and in need of a freshen up. We required to use heating in the apartment as the temperatures dropped to as low as +8C in February, however the electric heater provided was not sufficient so we borrowed a new fan heater from family.
There were a couple of issues with housekeeping / cleanliness which we reported to the proprietor, Jesus, whom instructed the maid to rectify immediately. We are both elderly ladies, who overall enjoyed our holiday and would like to re-visit the area again.
It would appear that a downturn in business has affected the overall standard of this accomodation, which is unfortunate as the proprietor is very nice and appears to try and look after his guests.

Top Tip Food at "Good Vibrations" next to the apartments was good. Generally the area has something for everyone. La Cala is quieter with some nice shops, bars and restaurants, whilst Benidorm has all the entertainment, night life and shopping anyone could want. The beach areas throughout are very well kept and walking along the spotless new promenade at Poniente is very enjoyable.

The service and food and staff were excellent, I have never stayed in a hotel before, but I could find no fault with anything, and that is what I told the manager of the Tropic.

Top Tip I have been going to La ala for 8 years, so there was nothing really special except the place itself
