"On arrival we were allocated 2 seperate rooms next door to each other, for 2 adults and 3 children aged 17, 12 and 10, instead of the two roomed apartment we had booked. The next morning we had a look at the 2 bedroomed apartment and decided we were definitely better off where we were!!!! Having 2 rooms meant we had 2 bathrooms (a bonus with a 17 year old!) and the position of the rooms was really convenient with a great view of the heated pool.
Food was excellent with plenty of choice every at every meal, even freshly cooked meat and fish each night. My tip would be to have a good look at what's on offer before you start putting food on your plate otherwise you end up with a mountain of food cos everything looks so good!!!
The Animacion Team were fantastic with a different entertainment programme each day for both children and adults, waterpolo, volleyball, boules, shuffleboard, basketball, ping pong and of course football! but there was no pressure and it was lovely to sit by the pool and relax with a book or just watch the world go by.
Weather was a bit chilly and we did have some storms but when the sun came out it was lovely - don't bother having your hair done before you go it's sooooo windy! wait till you get home:)"

"Not ideal for us, a couple with a six month old baby. Restaurants (mainly buffet) don't open until 7pm, and self catering consists of two hobs with no microwave, an ideal appliance for modern day cooking and baby bottle sterilisation. Never mind though, a microwave could be hired for a mere 28 Euros per week. That said, upon reminding ourselves that such household technology has only been mainstream for about 25 years, we resorted to the old fashioned pan on hob technique.
Sky TV for English speakers dominates just three of the thirty odd, frustratingly alternating channels, consisting of news, news and sport, with the occasional film, film, film. The films play over, and over again!
The main pool area plays very loud music, randomly throughout the day. So, when arriving, and supping on a beer, finally relaxing, thinking our choice could have worked out, our illusion was abruptly shattered by the dulcet tones of strategically amplified Euro pop, beautifully softened by the harmonic tones of British 'wooo wooo' backing singers.
Every couple of days a Sun Care Consultant creeps into the warm, peaceful pool areas, stands on her virtual soap box (a loudspeaker) and again, shatters your illusion by very loudly educating the uneducated on how to fight off the dangers of the sun’s UV rays, whilst establishing a deep, long lasting skin tone with the help of one or two products she so happened to have for sale. To be fair, we did understand a little, since the majority of us only experience such direct sunshine a few days of the year.
Despite the above, the pools were all very nice. The ‘visual’ surroundings too. To be closer to external restaurants would have been good for us, given our circumstances, but that’s something we’ve now learned, i.e. the location is generally very good. The rooms were okay, and cleaned and tidied daily.
If you pop up the road a little more out of town, and visit the 5 star hotel on the left (lovely Moroccan furnished veranda for late afternoon drinks), you’ll certainly agree that the Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort Suite By Oasis Hotel is not 4 star."

"The above ratings do not apply to the Atlantis Resort Suite Hotel but to the Atlantis Duna Park Hotel, which is where we thought we had booked. The Resort Hotel would have been our worst nightmare! However after one uncomfortable night & with assistance from your office (Jack) we transfered to (as far as we were concerned) our chosen destination. It rather shortened our break & seems to have cost more (Duna Park is cheaper than the Resort) altho' for oldens like us, infinately better!

"Definitely a family orientated hotel. Not a lot for teenagers or older young people (except activities around the pool and an on-site disco that runs form about 11pm until 01:00). Heard some older guests saying that it was too busy and too many children although I think the website made it abundantly clear that it wasn't aimed at the older holiday maker looking for a quiet holiday.
We (wife, myself and 3 year old) had a great time. Shuttle coach runs from hotel to big beach every hour. Supermarket 200 yards from reception. Mini-disco for kids on 6 nights a week. Lots of swimming pools (2 splash pools for toddlers, relaxing pool - no kids, activity pool and another couple dotted around). Plenty of sunbeds/space but again I have to stress it was quiet when we were there and I think it will be busier in high season. The main restaurant serves good quality food and the snack bar does burgers/chips/sandwiches though use it as a snack bar and don't expect it to be a fully geared up restaurant.
Well maintained and cleaned room. We went off season in January and didn't see any roaches except on our last day when the gardeners went gung-ho with the strimmers and lawn mowers and they seemed to come out of undergrowth and sit on the paths (wouldn't you?) . I think they might be lots of them around in the summer but it is the Canaries so you expect a few knocking around. No bugs or anything in our room during the fortnight. Rooms came supplied with plug in mosquito things but we didn't need them in January.
We had a 2 bed suite which gave you plenty of space but our balcony was always in the shade. Not a problem for us and I think it would be a relief in the height of summer but if you want the sun in your room make sure you ask for it. Aircon worked fine.
Hotel staff all very helpful and friendly."

"Great hotel for families. excellent amenities for the kids and the animation team work really hard and allow the kids and you to participate as much or as little as you want. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a problem on arrival as I had booked two rooms together and they had put us on opposite sides of the resort. They couldn't do anything about it that night but true to their word they fixed it the following morning, moved all the luggage for us and gave us free safety deposit box hire and discounts in the spa saving us about £150 so pretty good in my book. although its not in the centre of town its only a 10 - 15 min stroll to the main street and 25 to the habour on the other side of the bay. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family"
