"excellent, spotless and quiet"
Top Tip:
"Transfer on inbound was useless - no one waiting as expected with sign we had to wander round to find them - then had to wait nearly an hour to get on bus and more time for others to get on, when we finally got underway halfway round we had to park up and wait while another coach dropped two people off for us to take. To cap it all
the driver dropped us on the main road and left us to drag our cases up the hill, that was after we managed to locate where our apartment was!!!
homebound transfer no problem - driver came to appartment main gate to pick us up
Transfers would put us off travelling with your comfpany again

"The hotel was nice, staff very friendly and helpfull"
Top Tip:
"bar tropicana was good for a night out, good entertainment, staff were friendly and drinks were cheap. The 3 island boat trip very good value for money and a full day. Cost of taxi from airport only 13 euros, very cheap"

"-Despite being just off the main road, it is an incredibly quiet place.
-If going during the summer months (the hottest) be aware that there is no air conditioning and the windows cannot be opened, so the fan they provide is of little help.
-The rooms are kept clean on an almost daily basis"
Top Tip:
"If you love fish and seafood there are quite a few lovely places near the harbour. For great sangria go to 'Puerto Viejo'; their food is superb, too!"

"I enjoyed my stay at the Arena Dorada apartments so much that I booked another week and have recently rerturned. The apartments are large and very clean, very close to the beach and within easy access to shops. The staff at reception are truly lovely most especially lissy loco, and we became instant friends. The same applied to the owners of The Rambler, the bar almost directly opposite the complex. They made you feel part of a family plus they cook and serve fabulous English food very cheaply. If it is just a cuppa you want that's the best place in town. I have stayed at many of the islands resorts and I rate this complex number one for location, cleanliness, and overall quality. I found Travel Republic the easiest and most straightforward site to deal with and will continue using them (when my piggy bank fills up again) they make booking and flight arrangements that are not complicated and have a good range of accommadation to choose from. I would defintately return to this complex again, I recoommend it highly."

"Although basic the studio was clean and tidy and had all that we needed. The TV channels in the room where mainly in spanish, german or from the north of Africa - but hey, we didn't go on holiday to watch the telly!!! It was mainly just there for some background noise. The fan in our room stopped working and we reported it to reception. A replacement was provided the next morning which we were impressed with as it was a Sunday!
The complex is supprisingly quiet even with its close proximity to the main Avenue De Playas and we couldn't here any noise from the main street at all."
Top Tip:
"Sunday Lunch at The Rambler (a British owned bar almost directly opposite the complex entrance) is excellent and the La Ola restraunt, which is next door to the casino on Avenue De Playas, is great for a special meal overlooking the sea.
Tiny's Bar, which is also on the main Avenue but is towards the Matagorda area - behind Yum, Yum's - is well worth a visit.
There is a market in Playa Blanca on a Wednesday and you can catch the bus to the market outside of the new shopping centre in the Old Town."
