"On the positive side the Hotel was very clean and the pool area was kept very tidy.

On the Negative side:

1. The Hotel was too far from the Centre of Kalkan.
2. The Hotel lacked atmosphere and the staff were not particularly friendly.
3. The food and drinks were far too expensive, and reading the visitors book this seemed to be re-iterated many times.
4. The hotel was supposed to be 4 Star rated but in my opinion was only 3 as the rooms needed some attention and the evening dinner menu seemed to be very boring with lack of choice. ( I'm glad we were only B & B )
5. There was a lack of lighting around outside stairways."

"hotel that has been overated,should be a 3 star hotel.
long walk to harbour/town involving high incline hills.
hotel expensive with regard to drinks double the price compared to town.
loud music from the pool played intill early hours of the morning.
staff in resturant where friendly and helpful.
no light entertainment laid on."

"billed as a 4* but really only a 3* (but a good one) good atmosphere
staff make up for the shortfall - very helpful and friendly
rooms a bit small but comfortable, food - adequate, pool - excellent (salt water - so good for poor swimmers), pool bar/food - good
tough walk to town for some - very hilly - about 30mins if fit
a bit isolated but ok if that's what you want.
free bus into town twice a day (should be more frequent)
- no return bus so need to get cabs back at 10-17YTL per trip"

"We checked out Kalkan on the internet and we were led to believe that it wasnt a tourist destination and that it was a quiet fishing village. This is not the case it seems to be specifically angled at revenue from tourism. I found this town expensive and not particularly traditional. The hotel however i cant fault, it was immaculately clean had a great pool and friendly staff. Only downsides would be no provision for entertainment, the tv in our room only picks up bbc news 24 all the rest are german or turkish channels. The hotel lays on evening set menu and id hav preferred a menu to choose from so it suggests you go out.The hotel is expensive especially for water almost four time what youd pay in the supermarket in town, really the hotel prices should be a lot cheaper for the guests. Oh and we had no rep to greet us or visit during our stay, was there even one? not the hotels worry."

"Hotel was in an excellent location. Although a short taxi ride away from the town it was much cooler at the hotel than in the town.

Hotel very clean and all the staff were freindly and helpful."
