Darren from Dundee reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"Fantastic hotel, don't normally stay in big hotels but for one night we didn't mind. Great service and help from the hotel staff, the room was fantastic with spa bath and fantastic view over Palma port and harbour. "

"Illets was just a short ride away on the number 3 bus which you got at the bottom of the hill beside porte pi shopping complex .you got off at the terminus and their were two lovely beaches"
Maureen from Glasgow reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"When we arrived at the hotel we waited for our room which was fine. When we received the key to the room it was not good. We had no balcony no outside area to sit it and the area outside the room was dirty. As I had asked for a room with a "Sea view" I went back to reception and aksed for another room which we were given. It was awful, it was very small and had broken tiles etc in the bathroom. At this point my husband asked to speak to the manager. The manager agreed to change our room. We knew the hotel was busy at this time so my husband said the next day would be fine. We did get a much better room (3rd time)and we were pleased with it. The manager was very nice.
The rooms over by the pool area are very much in need of refurbishment, no one should be placed in a room with broken tiles and the outside area very unattended. We heard a few other guest complaining also. We did enjoy our holiday after we were settled into our (much better room)"

"There were not many restaurants around the hotel but plenty along the harbour area and also in Palma city."
Steve from Inverness reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"We we a party of three just using the hotel as a stopover for one night so cannot supply too much detail. However the hotel, although basic provided everything we needed, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was good, as was the price and the arrangements and information provided by TravelRepublic was excellent."
Top Tip:
"The hotel, although on a side street up the hill a couple of hundred metres fron the main waterfront street in Palma, was very close to a shopping centre and lots of restaurants."
VANDA from NEATH reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"Excellent value for money.
Above average for it's 2 star rating.
Food good and reasonably priced.
Clean and welcoming.
We were aware of the steep location and were ready for it. However, you have to be pretty fit to get the best fromthis location.
We would definitely use this hotel again."
Top Tip:
"Excellent Italian restaurant at the bottom of the steps leading from hotel.
Good and easy bus service."
"Hotel a little shabby around the edges but for a 2 star, v good. Great location, fab views of the port and lovely pool area. Great panoramic view from bar too and bar staff very friendly."
elizabeth from sheffield reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"The room was basic but adequately suited our needs. It was clean and the hotel reception staff were very helpful. The shower was poor but there was always hot water.
We ate in once, the main restuarant wasn't open. The food was horrible, cafe style self-service.
Loved the salsa dancing on Sunday night.
Didn't use the pool.
Quick walk down to catch the number 3 bus into Palma - very efficient.
Overall though, very good value for money. "

"The beach at cala major was good, a short bus ride away (no.3).

Carole from Barnsley reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"I was delighted that we were given a room with a view of the harbour, which is what I had requested. The busy harbour and airport were a constant source of interest.
Friendly spacious hotel, but with private non intrusive room service.
The hike up the hill kept us fit, and the views from the hotel were glorious.
We arrived at midday after a very early start from the UK, and our room was available immediately."
Top Tip:
"Bus services direct to and from Palma city centre and the airport, and also to Magaluf and Santa Ponca. Good train and bus services from the centre of Palma to other areas of the island including the secluded mountain monastery at Lluc, Valldemossa, Port Soller and Port Pollenca."
Ian from Lytham St Annes reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"Really enjoyed our stay at Horizonte Hotel Palma; large clean bedroom, lovely view of the harbour, excellent food, decor in stairways etc a little frayed around the edges. Porto Pi area a little seedy, but enjoyed the walk into Palma along the promenade and felt a lot fitter after scaling the steps to the hotel each evening. All in all great value for money. Would certainly go there again."
"Travelled with my husband and our two children aged 11 and 9 over Easter. We all had a fantastic holiday. We found the Horizonte Hotel to be efficient, comfortable, with good food (stayed half board) and excellent value for money. Would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody who is looking for a budget break in Palma."
Top Tip:
"The car hire place opposite the hotel was very handy and cheap!"
Leslie from London reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"Generally, the food, inclusive in the price, (which was buffet), was good in terms of quality & qantity; however, we were disappointed when, (without any explanation), there was no cooked breakfast on or last day.
The staff were friendly & helpful.
There was a large cyclist group when we were there in March 2008.
The hotel complex is large and the view from the balcony can be excellent.
We were pleased to enjoy, (by watching), the Salsa classes held there on the Saturay & Sunday.
The steep and long incline of the road up to the hotel from the marina is a bit daunting, (but perhaps healthy); however, this is one of the reasons we hired a car. However, there is a bus service number 3 (?) and number 46(?), as well."
dawn from oldham reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"Very clean, staff very helpful, responded to our request to mend patio door promptly. Situation of Hotel would be difficult to reach on foot for anyone with mobility problems.
Major concern around having to pay for luggage in hold on way back, no problems at manchester but details in Palma indicated we had not paid for our bags, which we were unaware of., cost 16 euros each."
Top Tip:
"Excellent Vegetarian restaurant called Bon Lloc in Palma
Walk along the seafront into Palm, about 1Hour, to visit the Cathedral was wonderful"
Graham from Retford reviewed the Amic Horizonte Hotel
"we had an good stay at the Horizonte and found the facilities really good for the price paid. We would definitely come back here!! They have an excellent roof terrace with a superb panoramic view over the whole harbour, the salsa evening classes that are held in the hotel make the evenings in the bar go with a swing."
Top Tip:
"Excellent spaghetteria called the Mondo Cane with first class food at good prices, just down the 120 steps and to the right from the hotel. Bus route 46 at the top of the hotel is excellent for getting to and from town without using the steps too often. Bus to Port Andratx goes from the sea front near the ferry port with stops at Santa Ponsa and further down the coast. Superb new underground station in town with a delightful new park where the railway used to be and the bus station to other parts of the island through the park. Well done Palma !!!"
