3 Star Al Diwan Hotel in Sharks Bay
Not close to anything except the beach, and at around ten pounds a time to go naama bay where everything worthwhile is, its costly if your there for nearly 2 weeks like i was, ten pound every day times 14 quite expensive in the end.and thats just to travel not including what you actually spend once your in the busier resorts.useful taxi service based at the hotel and cheaper than just catching one from the side of the road.always ask the price before the trip trust me to avoid nasty surprises once the journey is over, you cant exactly argue the price by then its too late. the nearby beach has only 3 or 4 restaurants but they are mostly good. taxis are imperative really because everything is so far away from this hotel and its too dangerous to walk there especially at night.the food was ok, i could fault the fact that on holiday id prefer someone serve me my meal instead of getting it myself. all in all the enjoyed the holiday just chose the wrong hotel not because it was bad but simply because of its location. wouldnt stay there again.oh and dont burn yourself on the hot water.holiday was ok, but very unlikely id return to this country went to turkey 6 months before this one and turkey was far better more to do and more relaxing, even though i went to supposedly the busiest resort of marmaris. i hope my advice will help others not to waste money or have a bad holiday.
4 Star Albatros Aqua Blu Ssh in Om El Seid Hill
This Really Is A Lovely Hotel, We All Loved Our Week Here! Food Was Good, Sister Hotel Has A Nice Beach To Snorkel Close By (10 Mins Walk). They Really Do Make An Effort To Make Your Stay Good! Especially Xmas & New Year, Kids Loved The Slides & Friendly Staff..... Would Recommend This Great Hotel.... And Cant Wait To Go Back Again :-)
4 Star Aloha Club And Resort in Om El Seid Hill
Shores Aloha is simply a place I would definitely return to next year. The lay out of the resort is nice, lots of beautiful plants, you can see the sea from most of the locations in the resort. The resort has its own pier so you can start snorkling straight away. The food is varied and the restaurant staff are great. The resort offers a daily shuttle service twice per evening to Naama Bay. The resort is within walking distance from Fantasia shopping center. We had a great time!
4 Star Amar Al Zaman Hotel in Nabq Bay
had a great holiday hotel fab went for my 50th birthday hotel staff were brill
3 Star Amar Sina Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Good value hotel. Staff helpful and all in all good value for money.
4 Star Amarante Garden Palms Hotel in Naama Bay
The staff at the hotel were always helpful and responsive. The only problem was the saving of sun beds. Need more control over that.
4 Star Amarante Garden Palms Hotel in Naama Bay
the hotel has been called the Almaradi for some time and not the Tropicana.Shuttle Bus to Beach. Food plentiful. Entertainment in evening. Music loud.Staff very good.Very clean hotel.Very hot even in November.Felt very safe as security everywhere.
4 Star Aqua Blu Sharm Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
The hotel is really breathtaking in many aspects: the water slides and all the facilities are top notch. It was a very enjoyable experience. The design of buildings is very distinctive, the food was really awesome, and the mountain views that encircle the hotel are worthwhile. The only down sides are: 1) We were told before we arrived that the water in the pools and slides are temperature controlled. I don't think this was the case. If anything, the water was really cold. The weather was kind of warm if not hot and the water was freezing. This stopped our kids from fully enjoying the beautiful water facilities there. I have reported this to the hotel staff but I received no reply. 2) Though most of the staff is polite, decent and attentive, the life guards have no idea what hospitality means, to mention the least. Before they take a course in hospitality, they need to take a course in manners too. Most of these guys did nothing but annoyed the clients and in some occasions, used obscene language. In such a wonderful place, you expect all the working staff to be up to the level of the place they work at. Having said that, I would like to mention that the reception and restaurant employees are very decent and approachable. The negative comments are not meant to undermine the value of the enjoyable experience but it is meant to better the service for future clients. I would definitely recommend the hotel to other potential clients and considering revisiting it.

4 Star Beach Albatros Sharm El Sheikh Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
3 Star Cleopatra Tsokkos Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Hotel very quiet, only 9 guests! Staff very friendly and helpful but I wasn't there much as this was a diving trip. Food in the restaurant and the pool bar quite reasonable.
5 Star Concorde El Salam Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
The hotel was great. The room was spacious, clean and had an amazing sea view. We were staying at the front of the complex, and I imagine that the rooms at the back may not have been so nice. The staff were all really friendly, and I never had any complaints about the service. The food was consistently good - given the constraints of a buffet service - although sometimes a little adventurous. The attempts at western classics - like beef wellington - didn't really work. There was always plenty of choice though. We only stayed 4 days, but people on longer trips would probably have got bored with the buffet style, and eating out more would probably be an attarctive option. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, as the setting was great and service good.
5 Star Continental Sharm Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
Brill staff Brill location brill watersports and diving lovely building could do with rooms updating Food very average with practically everyone we talked to getting serious dodgy tummies
4 Star Coral Beach Rotana Resort - Montazah Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
I would rate this hotel as a good 2 star but no more. We arrive at the hotel booked in where a porter put case's onto a golf cart and we were told get on and I will take you to your rooms, 15 minutes later and we are still sat on the golf cart waiting while the porter is having a conversation with a friend, after a few choice words to him he decided to take us to room, 500 yards from reception and any other facilities. Day 2 go to reception to change traveler’s cheques WE DO NOT CHANGE TRAVELLERS CHEQUES. £15 taxi to Naarma bay gets you to bank to change money. Beach is lovely But there is a 1 in 7 200 yard hill you have to go down to get to it, not to bad to go down coming back is not for the faint hearted, oh you could always use the steps all 100 of them. As my wife suffers with angina we only went to the beach once. So we spent our time round the pool ARRR YES THE POOL All around the pool is crazy pathing which is uneven and breaking up so it is a bit ruff on the feet, The pool it self was quite big I DIDNT KNOW THEY DID RUBBER LINERS THAT BIG yes I did say rubber liner you can even feel the creases with your feet where it hasn’t been fitted properly. The food mmmh when you are abroad you expect to have different types of food and that is something we look forward too. Breakfast and midday meals not a problem Evening meals well you could have Liver and rice or fish and rice. LIVER 4 TIMES IN 1 Week sorry where’s the variation. Entertainment Typical Animation teams (Great if you 6 years old) Low Background Music round the pool NO not till 3pm so the only relaxing sounds you have is the Sit on petrol lawnmower going round all day or the distant sound of the pile driver from the building sites all around, And if you couldn’t relax with those sounds don’t worry maybe the aroma’s of the fertilizer they constantly spray round the pool will chill you out. Oh yes if you enjoy wine take your own to this hotel you can have a glass at dinner but you wont get any at the bar even the paying bar!

4 Star Coral Beach Rotana Resort - Tiran Hotel in Sharks Bay
4 Star Coral Hills Resort in Om El Seid Hill
Hotel was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Beware of the rooms near the nightclub, you won't sleep between 01.00-06.00 hrs. We complained and were upgraded to a quieter room without any problem. If you want Gin&Tonic at the bar forget it "no Tonic" The food is all russian or similar but we found it tasty. Located next to a new shopping centre and Fantasia within 10 mins walk All in All, a good valued stay P.S If you are all inclusive, the free drinks stop when you check out (12.00 hrs)
5 Star Coral Sea Imperial Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
The hotel was really nice, we had a room right on the beach which was fantastic. Rooms are a good size and are very clean. Beach was gorgeous - the sea life that is just off the beach is wonderful. Snorkellign is a must ! However - the Entertainment Team or the Irritation Team as I called them drove me mad. Don't sit around the pool if you want any peace and quiet. They were so loud and ' in your face'. This carried on to the evening - the entertainment is useless !!
5 Star Coral Sea Imperial Resort Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
3 Star Country Club Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Rooms dated, beds need replacing, meals cold, music played through speakers LOUDLY all the time. No free pick up at airport and were asked for £24 to keep room from 12 o/clock to 6o/clock.
3 Star Creative Badawia Resort in Om El Seid Hill
The hotel was a real disapointment. I had numerous problems with the room which took a few days to get sorted. We had numerous egyptian families who would play football and bang on our doors at 2am!! They also thought it was funny to throw stones at people of balconies! The all inclusive was advertised as 10-11 but the week we went they changed it to 10pm finish which was disappointing. I went to the beach one day and got continuously hit upon by the hotel beach staff and found it an extremely horrible experience! Men who think its acceptable to come and sit on your bed and stare at you and read your books over your shoulder is not what I paid for.
4 Star Creative Mexicana Resort Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
We were booked into the Mexicana Sharm and weren't even allowed through the front door. Instead we were ushered off to the Grand Sharm. No way was it a 4 star. The rooms were grubby, the food was dreadfull and many of the guests suffered from permanent deli belly. Our rep did absolutely nothing to help and wouldn;t answer our phone calls for the whole week we were there. It wasn't all inclusive - we had to pay for many of the drinks and there was nothing to eat after 9pm unless we wanted to pay. There was no entertainment except for an upstairs bar that was filthy.
5 Star Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
We enjoyed having the sea view, and the rooms were great, very cool air con. The walk up the four levels for breakfast lunch and dinner was a big effort in the heat, so it wouldnt suit anyone with mobility issues. The buffet was good, and plenty to eat, the one night at the Sea View was very disspointing as there was no choice. I had one big problem, it was a real effort to get drinks and ice cream from the bars at the beach - They didnt acknowledge that we had paid for all inclusive. The bar staff were very unfriendly, bordering on rude. Thankfully the lovely coral gardens on the private beach more than made up for it, clear, diverse and very warm.
4 Star Delta Sharm Resort Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Staff very helpful. Friendly welcome. Glad paid extra for a suite, well worth the extra money, lovely big lounge / dining/ kitchen area and large bedroom. Lots of pools on the resort meaning never too busy. Food a bit 'samey' though plenty of it. Due to the fact it is large resort, had to walk quite a long way from room to the resturant.
4 Star Dive Inn Resort in Om El Seid Hill
The accomodation is extremely clean. The rooms are serviced everyday. I looked forward to coming back to see what imaginative shape had been created with the towels, and occaionally fresh flowers were left. I have stayed in a family unit and a basic room. Even if there is only two of you, its worth paying extra to stay in a family unit as the facilities and comfort is much better. The staff are lovely and just want to make your holiday special, rather than harrass you into spending more money. The beauty salon offers some great treatments for reasonable prices. A full manicure or pedicure with polish is about £5. I had my nails done twice with the week I was there. They also offer many treatments for men. Other services provided are massage, excursions and henna tatoos. The pool is cleaned every evening very thoroughly. Even in peak season, I didn't find the pool or pool bar to be overcrowded. The food at the pool bar is delicious. The all inclusive buffet is also vety nice, but I would advice to get there early. It is always worth eating out even if you do have an all inclusive package, as you can eat for about £2 per head. For the evening, the hotel puts on a show every night in the early evening. If you don't fancy this you can get the free hotel shuttle to Naama bay. Naama Bay has lots to offer and you'll be spoilt for choice for restaurants and entertainment. I found it to be very touristy, so would walk to Il Mercato which is about 5 mins away form the hotel (this is a collection of shops and a handful of restaurants). There is also a great little beduin tent within the complex which offers better value than the tents in Naama bay. I have been back to this resort twice. It is not as elegant as some of the major hotel chains, but the price and the service are hard to beat.
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Aquamarine Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
i had stayed at domina before and had a wonderful time, hence booking a second time. on arrival our room wasn't as nice as i had expected, when i mentioned it to our rep he got us moved to the most fantastic room overlooking the bay and pool, fantastic!!
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Harem Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
good big hotel, but you may book oassis rather then harem.
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Kings Lake Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
The hotel itself was pretty good. However, the site is made up of six hotels, all Domina. This means you get dropped at the main reception of one hotel and then have to wait to be taken by golf cart to your own reception. If you stay in the Kings Lake hotel half board you get the use of about five very good places to eat (Italian, Steakhouse, Kebab, Morrocan, Pizza), plus a couple of the usual package tour buffet scrums. You also get a massive salk lake to swim in, with fish in it, just outside your room. Other hotels on the site have tiny pools with not enough sun loungers and fewer food options. Be aware that like many hotels in the area the majority of guests are Russian or Italian, and what entertainment there is is predominantly in these languages (one English TV station out of 20).
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Oasis Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
An excellent hotel set in a vast immaculate resort complex with pleanty of space, pools, bars and beaches for everyone.
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Prestige Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Resort And Casino Hotel in Sharks Bay
5 Star Domina Coral Bay Sultan Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
Fantastic, beautiful, very good service, above expectations.
5 Star Domina Harem Deluxe Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
If you are stopping or thinking about stopping at the domina hotel and are english, upgrade to either The Sultan hotel or The Harem, the Oasis and the aquamarine are not as good and are more geared towards eastern europeans.
5 Star Dreams Beach Resort in Om El Seid Hill
on arrival at Dreams Beach Resort we were pleasede with the hotel but then we were shown to our rooms which was right over the other end of the complex. When we entered we were not impressed, we initially thought seeing as we booked a family room, as we have 2 young children 8 and 5, we would get a double bed but instead we had 2 single beds! The decor was very out-dated and the shower just dribbled out water. This was not what we thought classed a 5 star room. We rang reception and asked for a double bed but instead a housekeeper came and shoved the 2 beds together. Also one of the childrens beds severely dipped in the middle becoming almost U-shaped. The bar/reception areas and also the dining areas were fine and clean. Being placed over the other side of the complex we later on discovered this in fact was Dreams Vacation which was a 4 star! Having booked the so-called 5 star Dreams Beach we were miffed as to why they put us in Dreams Vacation which was not what we booked or payed for.
3 Star Eden Rock in Naama Bay
Hotel was excellent staff were very helpfull and friendly, will definitely be going back, wings tour rep very helpful.
4 Star Falcon Hills Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
It is a good hotel, but they had some problems: pool heating sistem didn't work and TV in my room had very bad signal (luckely I am not TV person otherwise I would be very upset) I asked them to fix it but they didn't do. I had some problems with a towel card. It dissapeared from my number and at check out they wanted to charge me for it, but once I asked for manager they give up and let me go. Staff was friendly and helpfull and they let me have a lunch for free at my last day.
3 Star Falcon Inn Viva Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
This hotel is abit shabby and needs updating, there are no hairdryers in the rooms but they did have 1 behind the front desk however it wasnt working properly and only cold air came out so took forever to dry my hair! The shower was bad and the water only trickled out of it and we actually changed rooms and found them both to be as bad! We went half board but didnt eat there much as the food was edible but not much choice and the same type of food every day. Its in a good location, can get a taxi to Naama Bay for 10LE which is about £1.20 but will need to haggle abit as when they see a tourist they will charge more, however after living in Sharm previously i know the amounts they should charge! Just depends whether you want just a basic hotel to stay at which this is or something more luxurious, but the price is cheap!
4 Star Falcon Naama Star Hotel in Naama Bay
As we read a lot of negative review about this hotel in tripadvisor.com. When we go to the hotel. It was a total surprise. The room was spacious and really good with clean towels everday. The hotel staff was really good and friendly. There was a guy who was sitting near reception named Alladin. He was a very nice guy who knows most of the deals regarding excursions, clubbing, diving. The hotel is just 5-10 mins walks from hussle bussle of naama bay. What is very surprising is the hotel is situated in the quite location. It is easy to commute to anywhere in sharm. Nice restaurants ...pubs..shopping centre to anything. I would defenitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
4 Star Faraana Reef Resort in Sharm el Sheikh
very nice hotel,good service,lovely place.
4 Star Gardenia Plaza Hotel And Resort in Sharks Bay
30 mins to the beach. was a nice beach and shuttle bus provided fre of charge. Dont leave your towle un attended as they collect them and you have to pay 100 egyption to get a new towle or pay when you leave the hotel.
5 Star Grand Rotana Resort And Spa Hotel in Sharks Bay
we stayed one week at the grand rotana, it was excellent! we had a classic garden view room which also looked onto the sea. service throughout the hotel was lovely, attentive and discreet. loved the infinity pool style jacuzzi overlooking the sea. the gym was small but quite well equipped, bit gutted that i didn't discover they hold 3 times a week yoga classes on the lawn til i saw it by accident! loved the breakfast buffet at Ramses restaurant...something for everyone, the buffet style dinner was great too..found the room spacious and clean, would definitely use this hotel again if we return to sharm el sheikh...
4 Star Grand Sharm Resort in Om El Seid Hill
Very friendly staff. New Year Celebration was very good, although they tried to make us pay for food despite having paid for all inclusive. - After complaining they provided the food, but charged for drinks! Very safe. Rooms basic, quality of bathrooms not very good. Food varied and tasty.
3 Star Halomy Hotel in Naama Bay
This hotel is very well located, it's less than 5 minutes walk to the town centre. It's in need of some refurbishment, but it's clean and the staff is very helpful. If you don't mind to stay in a modest clean place and spend your money in nice food and trips so this's the right hotel to stay.
5 Star Hauza Beach Resort Hotel in Nabq Bay
Nice place,good food ,private beach
4 Star Helnan Marina Sharm Hotel in Naama Bay
4 Star Hilton Fayrouz Hotel in Naama Bay
Hotel is in the centre of Na'ama Bay with the largest beach frontage and plenty of room for sunbeds - not in regimented rows. Staff are impeccably polite and all have a great sense of humour from waiters in the restaurant to the garderners on the beach and towel guys. Treat them as human beings and your holiday is enhanced! I would recommend buying half board directly from the hotel. Not only is the cost usually less than an agent but you do not have to pay for the first few days or last day giving you a chance to eat out in the centre at eg Hard Rock cafe. Anything not working is put right with a visit within 10 minutes of a call to recepetion even at 10pm. Rooms are larger than normal, light and airy with security bars on the patio doors at ground level making it impissible for a forced entry. This was new this year.
4 Star Hilton Nuweiba Hotel in Nuweiba
This is a lovely hotel really relaxed and friendly. we really enjoyed all aspects of our stay, the groubds are beautiful and you could see that teh whole team aleays try their best to make you feel welcome and valued. The only thing I would say is that there is nothing to do nearby and not really any nightlife, so if you are looking for a raving holiday this is not the place, but if you just ant to relax - this is perfect.
4 Star Hilton Sharks Bay in Sharks Bay
5 Star Hilton Sharm Dreams Resort in Naama Bay
As all inclusive visitors for the first time ever, we were exrtremely disapointed with the standard of food on offer in the hotel - we constantly described it as canteen fare. We were also very disapointed with the overall level of service in the hotel in all areas. Unless you offered the staff financial gain in the form of $us they were not interested. The pool bar was an absolute joke and many resisdents were extremely unhappy and all claimed they would not return to this hotel in the future. The bedroom was large and generally clean but the shower was a disaster and the overall finish in the bathroom was not good. The hotel was extrmely noisy at night and in the early hours of the morning. In summary we were highly disatisfied.
4 Star Hilton Sharm Fayrouz Resort in Naama Bay
All areas of Hilton Fayrouz were spotless, cleanest place I've ever been to. All the staff were exeptionally helpful and friendly. Rooms were a good size and well looked after. Pools were very clean. Plenty to choose from at breakfast, egg station was great. Meals at Havana cafe and pool bars were lovely, burgers, pizza, fries etc.Couldn't find fault with anything. AND... 10 mins from airport, 5 min walk from Naama Bay along a wonderful promenade - perfect location Naama Bay- fabulous, loved it. The people were soooo friendly and entertaining, if you can cope with getting stopped constantly to visit their shops, then its a brilliant place to visit. Plenty of shops - addidas, boutiques, souvenir, supermarkets etc and loads of bars and restaurants - Hard Rock, TFI's, Pizza Hut for those who like well known places. The Tavern for a bit of British - roast dinners, burgers, fish n chipe etc, The Camel Bar for the best view of the streets below on the roof top terrace, Fifty Bar for saturday afternoon football. Try snorkling - unbelievable experience
5 Star Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort in Om El Seid Hill
Excellent Hotel - food was first class - good selection and quality. Staff were top class and head and shoulders above normal hotels - even 4 & 5 star. Staff were courteous, helpful, smiled when spoken to or met you anywhwere on the resort. and seemed to want you to be having a good time. This included all staff - dining room - poolside and reception etc.
5 Star Holiday Inn Resort And Suites Hotel in Sharks Bay
Although the hotel did what it said on the tin, there were a few issues. However, these did not detract from our holiday. E.G. the room safe kept failing, the hotel is obviously being spruced up following its rebranding from Holiday Inn, the food was very average. This is based on 5 other trips to the same area and comparing to The Concorde El alam and the Tropicana Grand azure.
4 Star Horizon Sharm Hotel in Nabq Bay
5 Star Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh in Sharm el Sheikh
4 Star Iberotel Club Fanara And Residence Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Iberotel Club Fanara is a lovely hotel, rooms are spacious and kept immaculately clean by the hard working staff and the grounds are kept beautifully by the gardeners. There is a choice of restaurants for all meal times, and snacks also available. I have to say that the food at Iberotel was of a much higher standard than I have experienced previously on visits to Egypt. Staff throughout the hotel are friendly and very helpful and polite. I went as a single female traveller and must say that all the staff seemed to make an extra special effort to look after me. Many people think Egypt is not suitable for lone female travellers, but I have now been 4 times and each time felt perfectly safe and very well looked after by Hotel staff. The only downside was the lack of many other UK residents in the Hotel, but I think this is fairly common in Sharm as it is loved by the French, German, Dutch, Polish, Russians etc. Overall a superb holiday and I would definitely return to Iberotel Club Fanara

4 Star Iberotel Lido Hotel in Naama Bay
The hotel was good, except for checking in, whereupon we were shown to our room which was not a "superior sea-view" as we'd paid for. The front desk played dumb, and actually blamed the mistake on travelrepublic.co.uk, depsite the fact I'd emailed them a week prior to arrival to confirm the room type. After much hassle we were told we could stay in a suite overnight, for no extra cost, and would be moved to the room we'd paid for the following day. The next day however, they apologised and told us we could have the suite - which was superb - for the rest of our stay. This was nice and redeemed our opinion of the Iberotel Lido, but this is still a hassle we could have gone without at the beginning of our holiday and after much travelling. I have noticed increasingly this ploy among hotels. You pay in advance for the stay and when you arrive, are given a lower-grade room. They must hold onto the nicer rooms for people who book later or pay the balance once they check out. It's frustrating.
5 Star Iberotel Palace Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
Attractive 3-story hotel in need of refurbishment. 4* rather than 5*. This is not a quiet hotel. There were calls to prayer from the local mosque and one day they lasted a long time. Also it is in the flight path so you hear planes overhead, though I didn't find this intrusive - it's neither too loud, nor too often. Thumping bass from next door beach starts in afternoon - not particularly loud but still a nuisance. ROOM: standard room on ground floor overlooking lower pool and next to Spa. Basic and need of refurbishment. Tired looking fittings and furnishings, especially bathroom. Liked: empty minibar - you had to ask to have it stocked so were able to use it for own drinks not being able to see into room - nets and tinted ? windows heavy curtains kept out light for good night's sleep when sun rose clean white sheets and towels Disliked: discoloured hot water jaded room, furnishings noise from pool bar area when cleaned during night noise from service corridor next to room POOL well-maintained, clean plenty sunbeds, parasols, towels changed daily BEACH wide expanse of beach, plenty sunbeds, parasols SPA expensive but pleasant massage basic room, noisy thrum from some machine, bed could have been better - cracked plastic around face hole pushy staff touting for business WALKWAYS in need of repair - damaged, worn, uneven paving RESTAURANTS Breakfasts ok with usual buffet selection + fresh eggs, omelettes Italian - decent food but pricy and need to book some nights Blue Marine - pleasanter environment than main restaurant for evening meal (same food) STAFF Generally pleasant and helpful but heard one disturbing report of a couple being shouted at for a tip when luggage being delivered. No personal experience of. LOCAL AREA Close to old Sharm - lots of tacky tourist shops and fairly pushy shopkeepers, but they do leave you alone with a ploite refusal. Just too many of them. Opposite small shopping mall with a Chinese and Indian restaurant run by same chain. Mediocre food, limited menus and food arrived too quickly to be freshly prepared. Italian restaurant (eat outside almost on next door beach) good food and very friendly. Can't remember nane but can be reached by turning right to walk along beach or by turning left as you exit hotel and first left. Very close. Be warned though, this was the only place I got bitten!
5 Star Interplaza Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
I would not go back to this hotel .We had a water coming from the room above. This was reported to the reception they did not even ask the room mumber it was so bad we had to sleep with lights on so that we did not slide on it. It was still like all week. When you asked for some drinks that are on the AI we were told they had run out of them. Staff are unplesant, the restarant is not clean. I have been in other 5* hotels in Egypt and this hotel is not a 3*.
5 Star Jaz Belvedere Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
The hotel was very good however i would say that it was more like a 4*+ hotel rather than a 5* there was just some little things missing to make it a 5* such as drinks being brought over to you and the covers on the bed were clean but slightly tatty. Other than that the hotel was very clean, the pool & the grounds and beautiful and attended to every day. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The beach is lovely. The food did get a bit repetitive towards the end of the 2 weeks and there is a definate Italian theme
5 Star Jaz Mirabel Beach Resort Hotel in Nabq Bay
Hotel very clean and well maintained. Decent rooms, excellent pools and handy set of shops on site. Food very average and very dull for a 2 week stay, really did not cater for fussy childeren and meal times become a chore rather than a pleasure. A number of people suffered stomach ache and illness. Tipping is a must if you want anything done, i.e. you will not get a drink unless you have tipped the waiter, but a decent tip will mean you are not without a drink all night, same goes for other areas of the hotel.
5 Star Jaz Mirabel Club Hotel in Nabq Bay
4 Star Kahramana Hotel in Naama Bay
Generally hotels in egypt have been improving over the last 10 years. The kahramana is a slip back in standards and not a patch on the Kahramana hotel at marsa alam. We booked as 3 (male) adults in a room and were given a room with a double bed and a put you up. I haven't seen a double room in egypt for 15 years that did not have twin beds. On arrival at midnight I had to be very insistant to get this changed. This clouded my appreciation of the hotel. I might try the Kanabesh or New Tiran next time.
3 Star La Perla in Om El Seid Hill
rooms were kept clean, good value for price, food was quite varied
5 Star Laguna Vista Gardens Hotel in Nabq Bay
Stunning hotels and grounds with amazing views from the Laguna Vista beach veranda terrace (sister hotel across the road). We booked the garden hotel which is great and cheaper than its sister but you are allowed to use the facilities of both hotels SUPERB! Beach and Red sea is tops, as good as any in the world (we are well traveled). Staff are friendly and hotels spotless with very good food. Weather hot over Xmas but slightly cooler in the evening 17h.00 on but warm at sunrise 06h.30. so start early on the all inc. drinks and get to bed for that wonderful early sunrise. Nabq is the new Sharm, its an up and coming new trendy resort with loads to do and great vision. We will return and recommend only to our very best friends as we dont want it fully booked or prices to rise.
5 Star Louis Tiran Sharm Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh

5 Star Maritim Jolie Ville Golf And Resort Hotel in Um Marikha Bay
Great hotel. Very spacious rooms in the Garden Wing and lovely pool there. Fantastic entertainment by the main pool for kids and adults. Only draw back was choice of restaurants. The Lebanese was closed. They could have done with a more casual middle eastern restaurant outside suitable for kids in the evening.

Although the hotel was clean, well maintained and excellent gardens, the place had no atmosphere. The bars in the hotel were prohibitively expensive and were therefore empty. Breakfast was average.

5 Star Maritim Jolie Ville Royal Peninsula Hotel And Resort in Um Marikha Bay
The hotel is very clean and the rooms very large. This hotel is fabulous for plane spotters and they are about 700 feet from landing as they fly over this hotel. Drinks and meals are not cheap so I would recommend the all inclusive option. The hotel is very spread out and the rooms are in bungalow style and all looks very bland. Hotel has no really centre and lacks atmosphere.

I was disappointed that the hotel wi-fi was down and wasn't fixed during our stay. Otherwise the rooms were clean and functional, the staff helpful, the food OK, the pools fine. There wasn't any entertainment on offer, but we didn't want it anyway. We were b & b only so can't really comment on the food. the breakfasts were good and there was enough variety to please anyone.

Very basic and very noisy but great location
4 Star New Tower Club in Naama Bay
There are mixed reviews available of this hotel- that's because there are 2 seperate hotels next to each other which are getting mixed up in the reviews. The hotel I stayed at was called 'New Tower' and the one next door was 'Tower Club', easy mistake to make so be careful! At New Tower 'All inclusive' only included alcohol until 11pm and the food was so bad that we paid to eat out all week. The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and some parts were very nice, others were not. Our bathroom was awful with black grout and a cold shower and a toilet that constantly made a flushing sound but we were told there were no other rooms available. A final word of warning- the address of the hotel is Naama Bay, but it was a taxi journey into the centre which cost £4 each way. On the plus side, the hotel was clean and there were plenty of activities going on in the day and staff could all speak at least basic English. The beach was poor at first glance, but had fantastic coral for snorkelling. Overall we were disappointed with this hotel but we didn't pay much so I guess it's true that you get what you pay for.

4 Star Oriental Rivoli Hotel in Naama Bay
Having read lots of reviews for hotels in Egypt, we were a bit worried about what we may find. The hotel was excellent, clean, friendly & efficient. There were people at the pool offering you papers & the like but if you politely declined they soon went away and did not hassel you. I have always thought the best of rating a hotel should be on the breakfast it serves - this one far exceeded many 4* hotels I have stayed at in Europe. I would certainly go back, but worth the extra for the balcony. There were lots of comments on this hotel about not taking food in, but that did not seem to apply to the Starbucks attached to the hotel - heaven, decent coffee on holiday!
4 Star Panorama Naama Heights Hotel in Naama Bay
Hotel dirty. Food very repetitive, same every morning, lunch & dinner. Drink glasses dirty. Staff rude. The hotel view we had was of a rubbish tip and homeless peoples shacks. The hotel was 10 min away from the town, however could not walk to the town as this was down a dirt track which was not lit up.
4 Star Park Inn Resort - Formely Radisson Sas Hotel in Nabq Bay
Hotel good, clean and friendly. At present trying to make it a five star hotel.I went last year and i felt it went DOWN hill rather than Up.Sad but true, water park fab, they need to improve on the small touches. Two restaurants, yet they served the same food, And TRYING to CHARGE for entertainment on an ALL INCLUSIVE package DOES'T WORK.Would still recommed, but have no intension in returning again.

5 Star Park Inn Sharm El Sheikh Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
Hotel was clean, family suite was ideal with 2 bathrooms and plenty of room. Food was repetative and a bit chaotic at times but the smaller restaurant was quiter and you still had the BBQ option. Entertainment was poor but the all the children seemed to enjoy the kids disco. Most nights you are the entertainment being dragged on stage. The pools & slides were great, the beach was lovely and you don't need to go on a trip if you get a snorkel & swim off the jetty. Flies were a problem but the hotel fumigated every morning and night, get some OFF spray from the chemist & this is better than any mosquito repellent. Flies during the day were a problem but we were beside a Russian Family for 3 days and realised they were eating salted fish and leaving the debris by their beds, by the beach it was no problem & when we moved no problem too. I still sprayed just in case.
5 Star Plaza Beach Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
This hotel is really good value for money as we went all inclusive and drinks are the same price as here. We had a wonderful 10 day stay and the weather was really hot. The food was really good and of a very high standard plus they were forever cleaning. It wasn't what we were used to eating (meat and 3 veg) but we never went hungry and only ate outside the hotel once. I did read a lot of reviews before we booked and was a bit worried about the food but trust me we never had a problem with it. The management even asked if we would like to see anything added to the menu. They even got ice cream for us. I wouldn't say the rooms are five star but the were very clean and we had plenty of room. The sheets and towels were changed daily. They also delivered a couple of bottled waters to the room daily free of change. The air con worked really well too.The bathrooms have a very good hairdryer (so I wouldn't bother taking one) and we had loads of hot water but you needed to run the tap a little while to get it. The hotel is full of people from Italy and yes they do take over the hotel but we were always asked if we would like to join in with their fun and games ( tap dancing is the best), we just liked to watch and laugh. The beach is very clean and we alway found a sun bed, the same around the 3 pools. There was entertainment every night in various parts of the hotel. The staff are lovely people who really couldn't do enough for you. They love to talk to you about anything and everything. I think the only downside of the holiday for us was Naama Bay, I know that the Egyptain's are meant to haggle but we found most to be downright rude when you either didn't want to go into to their shops or speak to them. So be warned take plenty of small notes or have the right amount you want to pay when shopping or some shops will have you over for the change. They did us and we weren't the only ones. We had a great holiday and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

5 Star Reef Oasis Beach Resort in Om El Seid Hill
The reef oasis beach resort is a fantastic place to go on holiday and I would recommend it to anyone. I have been on holiday all over the world and I think the level of service here is amongst the best I have seen. I have stayed here twice and will be staying here again.

5 Star Rehana Resorts in Nabq Bay
5 Star Rehana Royal Beach Resort Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
The room and the staff were excellent. A couple of points let it down a bit. The pool bar frequently had either no cups (for tea & coffee) and also seemed to run out of glasses and or a combination of beer or sof drinks. the staff there were very helpful though. The entertainment was very limited and there seemed to be a "lull" between sundown and going for dinner and also after dinner. Again i would congratulate the majority of staff, and i woud suspect the organisation by the management was more to blame. a few suggestions; On arrival perhaps a layout/map of the hotel could be provided. It should be pointed out that there are a number of stairs to both the Food Court and then again to the Reception. More signs etc in English and signs to limit the number of drinks per person at the bars. Improve the contact between the rep and the travellers, A2B seemed very unorganised and poor communication.

The hotel was excellent value for money. Although the rooms were fairly basic they were air conditioned & had a free safe installed. The sunbeds were comfortable and free towels were provided for use on the sunbeds and at the beach. A free bus was provided for the 10 minute journey to the beach. The food was acceptable and you could always find something to suit your taste. My only criticism would be the interlinking rooms. The doors to the adjoining room have not been very well fitted and the walls seemed extremely thin, sometimes it felt like your next door neighbour was actually in the same room as yourselves.

5 Star Royal Diamond Beach Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
My partner was unable to come. I was told by the hotel that they would inform you that they had charged for only one. So, will you be able to reimburse me? I would be very grateful if you would let me know asap. Many thanks! The hotel catered for the Italians; this meant that the kids club was delivered in italian so my young niece was unable to participate. It would have been much better if there was some provision in english. Only a very small play area for children. It did not offer 4 year olds very much. I went with my elderly parents. The steps down to the main pool and beach were difficult for my mother to negotiate - very steep. A very clean hotel, with excellent staff. The food was not of 5* quality.
5 Star Royal Grand Azure in Nabq Bay
we stayed in a suite which was well worth the extra money, although a mattress with a bit of give would have been better than the stone slab we had. the hotel was quite good but it could be much improved with better management and more staff especially in the restaurant.

4 Star Royal Paradise Resort in Om El Seid Hill
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE ENGLISH! The first impressions when you arrive at this hotel is lovely, However, the hotel catered for Russians and not the English. We were the only English family in the hotel and from speaking to the staff English people do not go there often if at all. The food was basic and aimed at the Russian taste. Whilst i appreciate All Inclusive food is often the same this hotel did not offer much variety. There was no fruit available or butter for the bread! The rooms were dated and our bath was disgusting... It was cracked and had yellow glue sealing it. I had to bath my toddler in my mum's room next to ours! The shower ran hot and cold. The rooms were in need of modernisation, the shower curtain was dirty and the beds were awful. They brought a bed in for my toddler which has slats missing but fortunately she was not long enough to need the full length of the bed. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful it was a shame they never spent the money on the rooms. Often reception was full of Russians complaining. Also it was strange to sit in a reception with children where everybody was smoking! The hotel next door appears to have lively entertainment on till the early hours of the morning. we had to put the air con on to drown out the noise of the rave music! Oh forgot to mention the Air con was extremely loud. The entertainment was non-stop in the afternoon and would of been great if you could speak Russian. They had volleyball, dancing and rave music all the time. Good if your young! Whilst the hotel was awful we were the kind of family that make do and this is the first review i have ever done. I just wish somebody would of make comments on here before i went advising us to stay away. I do think it would be unfair though to not comment on the staff - The staff round the pool were wonderful with us because we were the only English in the hotel. If it was not for them we would of checked out of this hotel and moved to the Hilton down the road.

3 Star Sayadeen Village in Nuweiba
We deliberately chose a small Egyptian hotel, the Al Sayadeen at Nuweiba, because we wanted an authentic experience of Egypt, this being our first visit. We were charmed by the hotel, which has a rustic, simple ethos, but manages to give first-class service at the same time. Our room was simple but more than adequate, being yards from the beach and near the beach bar, which was not noisy. The weather had been poor prior to our stay so there were not many visitors - we had the friendly waiters all to ourselves. We went on a B&B basis, but had most meals in the hotel - the food was nicely cooked but could have had a little more variety over the two weeks. We met a wonferful Bedouin taxi driver, who took us all the places we wanted to visit - Dahab, St.Catherine's Monastery, Pharoah's Island etc. When we left on 16th Feb it was 32 degrees - the swimming was wonderful.
5 Star Sea Club Hotel in Nabq Bay
We've been to Egypt a couple of times - first time was about 10 years ago when everything was new and sparkly, second time was a couple of years ago when things started to look a bit tired. I'd say this hotel fell somewhere in the middle. You should, by now, realise that 5* doesn't mean 5* by UK standards in Egypt so don't go expecting a palace, but this place is very well kept - the grounds were lovely, the rooms were clean and perfectly functionable (if a little rough round the edges) and the staff are incredibly helpful. The pool area was great and the jetty out to the coral reef was one of the best I've experienced in Egypt - very safe and manned by a member of staff who keeps an eye on everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Do watch out when you're booking up though. We booked (and paid extra for) a 'superior all inclusive' room after talking to a Travel Republic agent who told us that meant we'd get a sea view, extras in our room like fruit, water, robes etc and a candlelit dinner package. However, on arrival the hotel had no record of this and didn't know what we meant by 'superior all inclusive'. All we really wanted was a sea view room but we were told that wasn't possible on the rate we paid. Anyway, after a couple of hours of arguing (literally) we sort of got it sorted. Got a side sea view room (with none of the alleged extras) and a refund on the extra we'd paid. So not a bad deal and the room was absolutely fine seeing as we didn't spend much time in it but not a great start to the holiday!

5 Star Sharm El Sheikh Marriott Red Sea Resort in Naama Bay
Rated as a 5 star hotel it fell well below this standard. The rooms were shabby and in need of refurbishment. We complained and got moved into a supposedly newly refurbished room which was only marginally better. The common parts have damp and paint peeling, ceiling tiles out of place, the guest toilets were the most disgusting I have ever come across. The hotel was noisy from 5 am in the morning with staff moving trolleys and washing and sweeping around the pool and walkways, I had to stop one member using an industrial cleaner/washing at 5.30 am on the walkway above our room. The breakfast was fairly good, but the beach restaurant was absolutely awful, nothing seemed to be fresh, mainly out of packets, plastic cheese, plastic chicken etc etc. Spoke to the supposed chef of the beach restaurant and complained, he just shrugged and said, 'okay'. I have stayed at Marriott hotels many times before and have very good experiences, but this one needs to be struck from the list, it is probably about a 2 or 3 star at most.

5 Star Sheraton Sharm Resort and Main Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
Hotel complex was lovely and beautifully maintained. Unfortunately, the rooms were very tired and are in need of updating. The rooms sizes were excellent though and we could look out at the sea from our bed. Staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Wide choice of food and drink - even for the most difficult holidaymaker. Pools were all clean, as was the beach.
5 Star Shores Amphoras Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Enjoyed our stay at Shores Amphoras. Rooms / apartments are well spread on a large site - it would have been good to have a coice of location ie overlooking pool area or near restaurant on site etc.
4 Star Shores Golden Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were very nice. Although we feel that holiday makers should be aware that this resort is predominantly Italian based and the entertainment and services reflect this. The hotel offers snacks throughout the day to all inclusive customers that are a ten minute walk away on the beach - the on site 'pizza' snack service is ONLY for Italian customers. Beverages constantly ran out throughout the day and the evening, and we were eventually advised by a member of staff in confidence that the hotel management had given a strict quoter on the amount of alcoholic drinks that could be served within a given time; staff were told to tell customers that they had ran out if they hit such an amount and to wait until half an hour had passed to continue serving. It was always difficult to get service at the pool bar. There were regular power cuts over a two week period.
5 Star Sierra Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
This is our second year at this hotel and it did not disappoint. We had a great time, good food, clean rooms, friendly staff and 10 minute walk to the red sea. The weather was 28 degrees on average and guaranteed for this time of year. Six of the seven pools were solar heated and swimming up to the pool bar was a joy!! This hotel is perfect for an all inclusive package that has something different to offer every day.

4 Star Sol Y Mar Sharks Bay in Sharks Bay
I had an excellent stay at this hotel, it surpassed my expectations. New rooms , although only showers in the bathrooms. Unfortunately it is not on the beach but it operates a bus to a sister hotel, although there is only Pizzas offered for lunch at that hotel, included in the all inclusive rate. It's best feature is the excellent helpful staff, they always tried to help if you had any requests. The food was good. Good value for money I would definately return. The only downside was nobody met us for our free transfer, so we had to pay another tour company for a transfer to the hotel. Hopefully travel republic will reimburse us.

4 Star Sonesta Club Hotel in Naama Bay
Having been to Sinai approximately 16 times in the last 10 years and my most recent trip to the Sonesta being my second time in Sinai this year I feel am very experienced to comment on this hotel. Firstly, it really does need updating. The first two rooms I was offered had no windows, I agreed to accept the third room offered to me. The food really was not good (and bear in mind I have been to many hotels in the region) I did not find the waiting/bar staff particularly friendly, often surly even tho I was very polite at all times. The pools are great, one is heated. As other contributors have mentioned the grounds are very well kept. Another drawback for me was even though this is an all inclusive hotel, wine is only served at lunch and dinner and was barely drinkable, you can of course buy your own for 100 Egyptian Pounds a bottle!. Overall, thorougly disappointed. This hotel does not reflect the normal excellent stanards of food/service normally found in the region. Out of all the hotels I have stayed at previously, this is the only one I would not return to. Overall very poor and I would only be able to give it a 2/10.

The service in the hotel was very good, although we did tip them very well. at every meal. The all inclusive bars were'nt up to much, we preferred the piano bar but you had to pay for this. The food in the main hotel was good for all inclusive, and the italian and indian were also good although you had to pay for these.

As our arrival was 5 am we asked before to have the room already earlier, but unfortunately this request was ignored. so we discovered the surrounding and the beach... At arrival we were first shocked because of the demolished building next to the hotel. but the area with the hotel apartments was beautiful, a lot of staff taking care for flowers, gardens, cleanliness.....we felt really well and had a beautiful stay in this hotel. The food was eatable, but you have to get used to it...unfortunately the breakfast was not so various...everyday the same. the evening meal changed and they tried to highlight this with suitable table clothes matched with the shirts of the waiters. The staff are mostly very nice...they try to help you and are of course grateful for tips. The room has a safe for which you can enter a personal code...we felt our important things to be safe... The beach is just incredible...there are not many private beaches but this piece was wonderful for snorkelling or diving with its colourful corals and fishes....you can spend hours.
5 Star Sunrise Island Garden Resort Hotel in Sharks Bay
The hotel is definitely not 5 star and deserves a 3 star rating. It could do with a refurbishment and I did advise Julietta/Guest Relations of my observation. The food in the restaurant needs improving. The property is good value for money. It is kept very clean. The lounge area could do with more seating. They must have problems at peak times. The chief barman was very temperamental and thought he was 'Tom Cruise'!!! I would not return to the property. Their sister hotel appears to be far superior.
5 Star Sunrise Island View Suites Hotel in Sharks Bay
decent hotel - 90% russian - nice people but they are catered for primarily ie food a bit meat and veggey and music blaring on beach all day long - rooms nice and hotel generally good, decent price, beach and snorkelling average. Not bad for a quick cheap and cheerful holiday but would not there again.

3 Star Sunset Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
We all liked the hotel very much and found it very relaxing, apart from being constantly pestered to have a massage. The staff were lovely and the food was gorgeous especially on New Years Eve when it looked too good to touch! It must have taken a lot of work to put on and clear up - and still be on duty the next morning! The effort put in to doing the rooms was also very much appreciated. We couldn't find our room vouchers when we checked in but found them later and gave them to reception, I hope they were able to use them.

5 Star Three Corners Kiroseiz Resort And Aquapark Hotel in Naama Bay
Beach bungalows about a 20minute drive from main Hotel.Accommodation very basic,no comparison to Hotel.Food average again, not as much choice as the Hotel, where there are snacks available all day, none at the beach, food available only at meal times.Staff were very polite, pleasant and helpful at all times.Room cleanliness was excellent as was the outdoor area.Would not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as there is a steep hill down to the beach from your bungalow.Tip the towel man (they prefer English money)and he will keep you the best sun beds every day!! Would not class our stay as 5*.We stayed at the Kiroseiz Hotel 2yrs ago and that definitely was!

4 Star Three Corners Palmyra Resort Hotel in Nabq Bay
Nice hotel and complex, the internal areas for socialising are not the best which during the winter season causes some issues. Like the rest of Sharm this hotel is saturated with rude, ignorant Russian's so be prepared to be pushed to the back when queing because they do not know the meaning of the word. The staff are generally pleasant and helpfull a tip here and there to some will make your holiday much better. Food is good and plentyful, there is something for everyone at all sittings, breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is my sixth visit to Sharm although my first to this hotel but I would be happy to return and intend to do so.

4 Star Tropicana Azure Club Hotel in Nabq Bay
we were apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the tropicana azure , the staff and animation team were great , really friendly and enjojed having fun , we had a great room looking out onto the pool ,everything was kept very clean , you would nt go hungry the main buffet restaurant was better in the afternoon than the evening we thought , and the italian and chinese you need to book but are definatly worth going to , only down fall was the use of the sister hotel facilities which is a shared beach , is very limited they would nt even let our son have a go on the slide and you can only use the beach bar , but overall we had a great time and would go back , if you get a bad tummy just go to local chemist , immodium wont touch you !

We really enjoyed our holiday and the staff were excellent, especially Salah the bar waiter , we have never met such lovely friendly people. Our only faults were the bathroom needed updating and to get someone in whom knows how to grout, lol. And their were cetain parts in the main dining area that needed cleaning (the bits they thought we could not see),the animation team could do with some older members that could bring a little bit of class to some of their entertainment, as it was VERY same o and Benidorm ish (20 yrs ago). But no matter, you go with an open mind (to all, including the food, its not the UK it's Egypt ! remember that) and youll will love it, we did !!. Quading and Camel riding EXCELLENT book through Thomson because that means the safety side is covered and the guide was fantastic, went out snorkling to Ras Mohammed and if you are nervous like me (saftey again is paramount you cannot fault them) they sent a buddy in with me,experience im glad i did, turtles, tuna, stingray and so many i could not name. We had the best holiday EVER, and night life, nothing at Hotel but cught shuttle to Naama Bay ...BRILLIANT !! go and enjoy and ignore the moaners !! some people are never happy lol
3 Star Tropicana Jasmine Club Hotel in Naama Bay
The hotel was lovely, 2 great pools, rooms were so comfortable and clean. The choice in food was really good (brekkie tended to be continental but chef would cook a fresh omelette while you wait! How's that for service!). The staff were lovely. The reception at the Jasmine was a bit tired looking but you could use the facilities at The Tropicana Rosetta, the sister hotel across the road and there's a lovely lounge there. Not loads of evening entertainment but Naama Bay is only 5 minutes walk so if karaoke is not your thing, take a stroll downtown. All in all a lovely hotel to stay at - we'll be going back there

3 Star Tropicana Rosetta Hotel in Naama Bay
Na'ama Bay is very tourist focussed, keep to the path by the beach for more authentuic cuisine. Even the Old Market in Sharm is filled with typical Egyptian tat (ashtrays, beads, shisha pipes, banana leaves with a photocopy on them proclaiming to be handpainted papyrus!). Haggle: Don't pay more than 20Egyptian for a taxi to take you each way from Na'ama to Old Market - they will start at about 60E. Just say "no thanks" and keep walking; they'll follow you and accept 20. You can get The Mirror newspaper for 10E, if you hold out and tell the guys that thats what you paid the day before. Rosetta: Hotel rooms were shabby but clean. The higher your room number, the further you have to walk to it from reception, up-hill! (And room numbers 100-110 are above the reception and noisy kitchen and are facing the busy main road - perfect for people who are unable to sleep in the quiet!) "The beach" (being a loads of sunbeds crammed on top of each other) is about 10mins walk away, although it is the only one with a reef in its section of sea, so do take your snorkel and mask as the fish are fab! Watch when crossing the road; car headlights aren't a legal requirement, not even in the dark! Great for a cheap lazy holiday but you may want to book some excursions as we got a bit bored after day 5 of the pool and beach.
4 Star Tropicana Sea Beach Hotel in Nabq Bay
Staff very nice and helpful, pool great but music and party games get a bit too much after a while, beach great and a quiet place to sunbathe and walk in the water ( just like a tropical fish tank). Food edible, drink, beer ok but beware sprits and wine are Egyption made so getting some duty free on the way out is advised.
5 Star Tropitel Naama Bay Hotel And Aqua Park in Naama Bay
5 star in egypt is probably equal to our 3 star so dont expect too much and when it says aqua park this means 3 slides into the pool .This is a nice Hotel, clean and the staff are very friendly .The hotel is in the top location in Naama bay which is the busiest resort in sharm. Food is good but the a/inclusive drinks are awful but dont let this put you off we have enjoyed every minute of our stay.

4 Star Turquoise Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
The hotel was ok overall but the shower curtain was short and was "outside" the shower cubicle so whenever we took a shower we ended up flooding the bathroom, apart from that it was ok we were on the ground floor at this hotel and the balcony opened out onto their well maintained gardens and with the private beach across the road i found it a very nice place to stay and for those who wanted a coral beach we negotiated with the various taxi drivers and got to Finara Beach which is a beautiful coral beach for 10 Egyptian pounds about £1!. Here you can snorkel and see some truly colourful fish. The hotel was rated as a 4* but i would point out that a 4* in the UK is not the same as a 4* in Egypt so please bear this in mind but the room was cleaned daily the A/C was a god send as you can expect it was very hot out there, For those looking for night life head down to Narma bay its only a 10 minute drive away and it gets lively there the people are very frindly and also the hotel staff
4 Star Verginia Sharm Hotel in Om El Seid Hill
Lovely hotel, a good size without being too large. Spotlessly clean. Rooms large and very well arranged within well kept squares and gardens. Great layout. Great pool area. Helpful and friendly staff. Good entertainment. The only let down was the restaurant which had the atmosphere of a self-service canteen where everyone rushed in and out and there were no waiters allocated to look after you or sell drinks to half-board customers. Food was edible with a reasonable choice and caused no stomach problems, but not quite up to 4 star standard. However apart from the restaurant everything else was brilliant and so I'd be happy to stay there again. Location very good, away from the bustle of Naama Bay but still within easy walking distance of shops, cafes and attractions. The hotel beach is reached via their shuttle bus but we prefered to use the very much larger and nicer beach opposite the Old Market. It's a £2 tax ride or a 20 minute walk but well worth it.
4 Star Viking Club in Naama Bay
Staff excellent Pool area clean. Lots of mozzies. Food terrible. All inclusive only at one bar not a lot of choice of drinks.
4 Star Viva Sharm Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
This has got to be my best holiday ever. Done almost everything in 2 weeks i.e went to cairo, pyramids, egyptian museum, nile cruise, mount sinai, st katherines monastery, scuba diving and snorkelling and much more. Found the food in hotel average, service was fantastic, made lots of friends and the weather was really warm.Didnt bother too much with Naama bay, people always trying to sell you things. Got good bargains near the Falcon Hills shops nearby. I would go again as it was a great experience.
