5 Star Ac Palacio Del Carmen Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
This was a very nice hotel on the outskirts of town. It was very easy to walk into town (if fit & able) along a generally very nice route which had bars along it. It was also well positioned for the University Southern Gardens which were pleasant and had great views over the town. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive and enjoyable. Good value for money but probably not upto my experience of five star Spanish Hotels, though an acceptable four star level.
3 Star As Galeras Hotel in Bastiagueiro
Hotel is no where near the location marked on the map! From the outside it looks like a scruffy motel, however once inside the rooms are light, airy, clean & comfortable. We were caught out by having to pay a supplement for cooking & eating utensils which is quite steep at E8 per day. The nearest eating places are at least 15 minutes walk & the hotel restaurant had a very limited menu. The nearest beach is 15 minutes walk, but good once you get there. The hotel is fine to stay if you arent expecting anything special & have a car & are abl eto travel to eat & beach.
3 Star Avenida Hotel in La Coruna
Albeit Hotel average. the staff were very helpful. private parking very good
3 Star Balneario De Compostela Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
Lovely hotel, staff attentive, friendly and courteous at all times. The spa was immaculate and worth spending any bad weather days in.
1 Star Casa Rosalia Hotel in Brion
this is a lovely hotel, quiet, small and friendly. It is only 1 star but other things like the nice view from our window and the charm of the hotel made up for the lack of 'extras'. I would definitely recommend this as a nice place to stay.
4 Star Congreso Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
This is a large but attractive Hotel on the outskirts of Santiago.Because of it's location, it can seem a little remote and is not well served by public transport. The Hotel does offer a shuttle minibus at various times of the day/evening both into/returning from town.City taxis cost around 8-10 euros each way.If you rent a car be aware that parking in Santiago is not easy to find. Those staying in the Hotel tend not to be from the UK.The staff are very friendly and welcoming but not all have a very extensive knowledge of english. The food is quite acceptable in terms of bar snacks etc and ranges from that to buffet and restaurant meals.Prices are fairly reasonable. The rooms are clean and well maintained but we did find it a bit noisy at times with guests arriving/departing closing doors etc. The Hotel has 2 swimming pools that are also well maintained and never really busy.Towels are supplied and sun loungers. Because the weather can be variable, in this part of the country and the location of the Hotel is not central, be aware that if the weather is bad, then there is little to do unless you travel in to town. The Hotel does offer free use of a PC (3 available) with broadband connection. All in all a good Hotel which offers good value.
4 Star Crunia Hotel in La Coruna
Pleasant stay and location good.
4 Star Eurostars Ciudad Hotel in La Coruna
Staff were helpful and the restuarant was good value. The rooms are a good size.
4 Star Eurostars Palace Hotel in La Coruna
For the price the hotel is excellent. We needed a triple room with 3 single beds and they were excellent rooms and beds. Not near the town centre but only 5 to 7 euros in a taxi so between 3 of us it was not a problem.
3 Star Hesperia Gelmirez Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
Clean, descent hotel with big rooms. In the centre of the city and just 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral and the restaurants. Defenetaly a good 3 star hotel. I would have stayed there again.
3 Star Husa Ciudad De Compostela Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
reception staff very helpful
3 Star Husa Santiago Apostol Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
Been to this hotel before so it was great to see the same staff as three years ago wich says a lot about the hotel. In need of refurbishment but bed linen and towels changed most days and hotel very cleen.
2 Star Husa Universal Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
very central. Helpful staff but over priced
4 Star Los Abetos Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
One of the Best value for money I have ever had, standard of the room was excellent, the staff were very nice and the food was excellent.
5 Star Nh Obradoiro Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
We loved this hotel. The staff were excellent gave us free upgrade to executive room wich was very well appointed. Situated a 10 minute walk from the historical centre but through lovely park so we found this an enjoyable experience. Breakfast was superb couldn't fault it worth every penny. Would say though that older people might find the walk up to the main road quite hard as steep but the longer route through park much easier.
5 Star Parador Los Reyes Catolicos Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the old town and is next door to the cathedral and the main restaurant area which is a couple of minutes away on foot. Being situated where it is however, it can be difficult finding your way there by car for the first time - follow the signs very carefully even when they seem a bit unlikely. The hotel has its own car park and the staff will park and redeliver your car when you are ready to leave. A superb hotel in what was a monastery and which still retains several of the original courtyards.
3 Star Pombal Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
Nice hotel, great views from top floor. Breakfast room and food boring
2 Star Rey Fernando Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
The hotel reception is on the 6th floor! The receptionist spoke little English. We had booked a room for 3 Adults and were squeezed into a room which would have been small for 2 persons! A long walk uphill to restaurants and attractions - would not particularly recommend this hotel.
3 Star Rosa Rosae Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
we spent 3 nights in this hotel, ideal for the city also coach toand from the airport less than 5 minutes to the cathedral and the old town
4 Star Tryp Coruna Hotel in La Coruna
Very good hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, food good, clean towels and sheets everyday, easy access to all floors via the lifts.
4 Star Virxe Da Cerca Hotel in Santiago de Compostela
The hotel was clean and very well presented. Staff were very helpful and polite. The only negative point was that our room backed onto a school so at 8.30am every morning many school children passed below the window together with the noise that a hundred or so children make!
