4 Star Ac Tarragona Hotel in Tarragona Capital
A super trendy city hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were modern and clean. Good quality of furnishings in the hotel. Free softdrinks minibar was a big plus. Would definitely recommend.
2 Star Alboran Hotel in Salou
The apartment was very clean and tidy but was like going back in a time warp, none of the furniture matched and i´m sure the mattresses could do with a clean as i had some bites on me that i´m sure was bedbugs. The pool area was kept very clean and tidy and the apartment was situated right in the middle of salou with great bars around and of course Portaventura 3 mins away in the car or there was a bus direct to the park every half hour opposite the apartments. Good location but outdated apartments.
2 Key Almonsa Platja Apartments in Salou

2 Star Atalaya Mar Apartments in Salou

4 Star Atenea Aventura Hotel in Salou
The hotel itself was absolutely lovely but the staff's english was really poor.... the location of it is in a residential area called villa-seca and is 100% non tourist! There is no holiday atmosphere at all and you have to get the bus everywhere and taxis at night( extra expenses to your holiday) The portaventura park is a good 20 - 25 min walk longer if you have kids.......there are local shops but they close at local times and dont open on sundays......
3 Star Augustus Hotel in Cambrils
For a 3 star hotel the Augustus was brilliant. Spotlessly clean, good food, extremely helpful desk staff and very good entertainmenton both nights we stayed. Would definitely stay there again.
4 Star Balneario Termaeuropa Playa Coma-ruga Hotel in Coma-Ruga
The hotel was in an ideal position for the beach and restaurants. The staff were most helpful and the rooms clean, comfortable and with every facility. We did not have evening meal at the hotel but breakfast was very good. It was so useful to have secure parking at the hotel and the staff allowed us to leave the car there after checking out time until we left Coma Ruga later in the day.

3 Star Belvedere Hotel in Salou
Very good hotel this was our second visit this year the food and staff were excellent. The entertainment could have been better but as the weather was so good we were able to go out each evening and there was plenty going on in Salou. Thank you Travel Republic once again.

Regards travel republic would recommend highly, from booking hotel, transfers car park everything went very smoothly. We will use them all the time now, thank you travel republic.
3 Star Best Oasis Park Hotel in Salou
WE HAVE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL BEFORE (8 YEARS AGO), IT IS BASIC BUT CLEAN, THE POOL AREA IS IDEAL FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AS IT IS ENCLOSED BY HIGH WALLS PROVIDING A SAFE PLAY ENVIRONMENT, THE FOOD IS BUFFET STYLE (AS WITH MOST SPANISH HOTELS) BUT IS SERVED HOT AND IS CHANGED REGULARLY, WE WENT HALF BOARD, BUT THEY ALSO DO "ALL INCLUSIVE" DEALS, WE DID NOT GO FOR THIS OPTION AS IT "TIES" YOU TO THE HOTEL AND THERE IS MANY GOOD INEXPENSIVE BARS WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE, IF YOU ARE ON A BUDGET I CAN RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
4 Star Best Punta Dorada Hotel in Cap Salou
On arrival we were informed (with no explanation) that we were booked into their sister hotel The Best Negresco on the opposite side of the street. We chose The Best Punta Dorada especially as we like to stay in a smaller hotel and we thought we were getting a seaview room. As we booked this holiday in January this was very disappointing especially after speaking to people that were staying there and had only booked days previously. This review is for The Best Negresco. There was only 5 sun shades at the hotel - no where near enough. There was no toilet brush in our room! 2 days running we didn't have a bath mat. We didn't dislike the hotel is was just twice as large as we were expecting. The food was plentifull and varied.
3 Star Best San Diego Hotel in Salou
We only stayed at this hotel for one night and we are very grateful that we did not stay any longer. The room stank of smoke and all very run down. The walls were paper thin and you could hear all your neighbours conversations infact we were put next to a couple with a young baby and every time the baby woke up so did we so no sleep at all. As to the food it was the most disgusting food I have ever had some poor people we had been tralking to said they could not wait to go home and had even complained about the food. I would not recommend this hotel to any of our friends and we would never never go back to this hotel again.
3 Star Best San Francisco Hotel in Salou
Only complaint was not enough lifts if you were not able enough to use the stairs you had a lengthy wait especially at mealtimes
3 Star Best Sol D Or Hotel in La Pineda
Was very wary as had not booked a holiday in this way before. It felt strange that we hadn't actually spoken to anyone. We needn't have worried as everything was spot on. Ryanair flight was on time leaving and arrived at Reus 45mins early, Resorthopper transfer fine although we did have to go all round the houses which took a while before we got to our hotel. As for the hotel the rooms were cleaned every day, the food was great, something for everyone and the entertainments team worked so hard to keep everyone entertained. We set out looking for a cheap getaway. We never expected it to be so good, our only regret is we didn't stay longer and that we didn't go all inclusive due to the exchange rate being so rubbish at the moment. Shall certainly book with TravelRepublic again and look forward to saving ££££££££££'s.
2 Star Brisasol Arquus Apartments in Salou
staff at this hotel don`t care about u there no you have already payed an thats all that matters. if you don`t mind stayin in a room that is falling apart around and stinks of sewage its perfect
2 Star Brisasol Pins Marina Hotel in Cambrils
Staying at this place that is "supposedly" 3 star rated, (would hate to stay in a 2 star then) was the worst holiday experience we have ever had. The whole place looked derelict...I have plenty of photo's to prove it. We got there around 8.30 pm and found reception shut and wasn't going to be opened again until 9.30am...there was a note on the filthy front door apologising and giving directions to the hotel where we could collect them..which overall, took longer find and get back than our flight from Gatwick to get there. We had our young disabled daughter with us, 3 suitcases, her disabled buggy and countless other bags, at the same time another family turned up, with their daughter who also was disabled. I had to go of with complete strangers to locate the keys, after walikng for an hour we stopped and asked someone where the other place was and was told another 45 minute walk, we went back to the Pins Marina and my husband then went with the chap from the other family and an hour later returned. The other place was in a back street where everywhere, including the hotel, keep the shutters down because of the violence. The receptionist then took every bit of money my husband had on him -£40 & 40 euros- as a deposit...in case we broke anything!!!! Once inside the apartment,we couldn't work out how to put the electric on, turned it it was with one of the 2 key cards they had given us. Whilst it was clean enough, there was no microwave as stated..we waited 2 days for it and expected my husband to carry it up the stairs himself. We couldn't believe the train track was about 25 feet away from our room, the trains ran all night. In the morning we thought we would go down to the restaurant it said it had, only to find that along with the bar and pool bar, games room and kids club, it had closed as long as 7 years ago. We were there 10 nights in which time the bedding or towels weren't changed and we didn't see a cleaner anywhere in the block. The pool area was grim although the pool water very clean. The weather started a bit grey but then it hit 29-32 each day which was the holidays saving grace. The hotel next to us was great for entertainment, (we could hear it loud and clear from our apartment) they were really friendly and welcomed anyone to come in. My advise would be to anyone DO NOT STAY AT THE BRISASOL PINS MARINA "HOTEL". Overall we didn't rate the area in general, it was like Blackpool which is great if thats what you want but if you want a bit of class, give it a miss.
2 Star Brisasol Royal Apartments in Salou
I was not at all happy with the accommodation. We arrived in Salou at 1pm but we couldn't get into the appartments, no message on the gates telling you where to go, we had to ask someone coming out of the building, apparently you go down the road round a block and turn left to the reception, when we arrived there she said we wouldn't get the key until 5pm, another 4 hours, we were not pleased (no mention of this on your booking form)She blamed the tour operator, said you should have told us. We went back at 5pm only to be told we weren't registered with their agency, she made about 6 phone calls (5.30pm by now) and then decided we were registered with them after all. I had put in a request for a 3rd or 4th floor quiet room, I think she was taking the Mick because I had moaned about not getting in at 1pm and she put us on the 1st floor over a bingo/disco/karioki bar. The noise was unbearable from 8pm in the evening until 1 am.every night. I thought it would be a waste of time asking for another room, they didn't speak good english and we not very helpful. We were also on a main road, so to go with the bar noise we also had constant noise from traffic. All in all I do not think we had a very good holiday and I would never stay at these appartments again, or recommend them to anyone. Also your literature states there is a microwave in the appartment, but we didn't have one.
2 Star Bungalows Amfora D'arcs in Cambrils
3 Star Cala Font Hotel in Cap Salou
We were surprised when the taxi dropped us at the hotel as the entrance looked so impressive. We had asked for a non-smoking room with sea views and that is exactly what we got. We had an enormous balcony which was in the the sun all day long. The whole hotel and the rooms were cleaned every day including beds made and clean towels. The food was very good so we did not use any local restaurants, but they were plentiful. The snack bar by the swimming pool was very good and the snacks were great. The pool itself had a permanent life guard who also looked after the loungers and sun shades so it was safe for kids. The staff were friendly and courteous. We were also lucky enough to enjoy freakily hot weather for the whole week.
3 Star California Garden Hotel in Salou
We enjoyed a fabulous weeks stay in this hotel..staff were brilliant..food better than average, plenty of choice each night. Swimming pool really clean and plenty of sunbeds for the sun worshippers. The room was excellent and cleaned thoroughly every day. Hotel is in an ideal location with just a short walk into the heart of Salou where an abundance of shops and bars/resturaunts await you. The great Portaventura theme park is just a 20 minute walk away and bus stops are just around the corner for ease of trips to Cambrills, La Pineda etc. Loved our stay and will be choosing Hotel California garden again. Top marks to the staff, they were brilliant, especially the head waiter on his wine recommendations. Hope this helps when choosing your hotel. Have a great time like we did :))
2 Star California III and IV Apartments in Salou
clean & spacious apartments with friendly staff. Food was also good. Be careful of wet floors in busy nightclubs!
4 Star California Palace Hotel in Salou
On arrival at the hotel we were told that you had not booked a room which we had paid for the 88yrs old guest. Had it not been for the truely wonderful reception manager our holiday would have been ruined we had to share a room for the first night. We were not imprest at all.
3 Star Calypso Hotel in Salou
fantastic staff, food, very enjoyable stay.
3 Star Cambrils Playa Hotel in Cambrils
Entertainment and poolside music not availiable after the end of september
4 Star Canada Palace Hotel in Calafell
4 Star Caribe Resort Hotel in Port Aventura
absolutely gorgeous would def stay here again
3 Star Carlos III Hotel in Delta del Ebro
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were too hard for me though my partner had no problem. The restaurant food was very blad, boring and too expensive for what was on offer. We had better food costing less at other locations.
3 Star Casa Marti Hotel in Coma-Ruga
The old addage you get what you pay for springs to mind.....however I paid two star prices for three star accomodation and four star staff... I was on a motorcycling Holiday with my brother and daughter and daughters boyfriend.. My room was spacious with two double beds and a good sized on suite bathroom with balcony overlooking the rear of the hotel.. My daughters bedroom however was smaller with a more compact en suite.. still plenty of room for a couple but would be tight for any more than two persons.. Both rooms were clean and airy... The food was varied and plentiful... however dessert in the evening generally consisted of blancmange ... rice puddings or cake !!! The staff were brilliant.. could not ask for a more helpful group.. friendly and good humoured... The location was ideal for us as we had our own transport.. Coma Ruga itself is very quiet in June.. no real shops or places of real interest.. stunning beaches that go on for miles that gently slope into the sea are the real attraction.... fresh water showers on beach and a reasonable sized hotel pool ( with small bar ) had us chilling out for several days... Barcelona is about 40 minutes by road... Two things to be mindful of though... pre season this hotel caters for the elderly Spanish ... think cocoon ( the movie ) and you get a feel for things... Nightlife in the bar was mainly cards and dominoes... 2ndly, this resort caters for the Spanish... do not go here if you expect full English breakfast and pubs... All in all our group had a great time and thouroughly enjoyed our stay...
3 Star Caspel Hotel in Salou
Once again, I found my room at Hotel Caspel fully adequate. The buffet evening meal and breakfast were more than sufficient and generously varied. I like their food and its preparation very much.
2 Key Catalonia Gardens Apartments in Salou
gret 3 day break
3 Star Cesar Augustus Hotel in Cambrils
4 Star Ciutat Hotel in Tarragona Capital
2 Star Complejo Living Park Hotel in Salou
We were a bit disappointed as we were a party of two couples and a child, and were expecting 2 bathrooms. All the reviews of Living Park Complex stated 2 bathroom. We also had to go back to the reception as no linen had been left, but that wasn't an issue. The biggest problem we probably had was that there was one bedroom with a double bed, but no double sheets supplied, we really couldn't face the walk back and complain again so I borrowed bed linen from my daughter who lives nearby. We did find several dog biscuits under the sofa when we pulled it out to make the bed for my Grandson, there was also a lot of hairs in the bathroom cupboard and drawer, but we bought some cleaning wipes and soon had the place clean again. Otherwise we had a nice holiday.
2 Star Complejo Novelty Hotel in Salou
The appartment was basic, but it was entirely sufficient for our needs. There was a balcony which was very good to have.
2 Star Complejo Riviera Hotel in Salou
2 Star Cordoba Apartments in Salou
We had booked a two bedroom appartment and were given the keys to a one bed app( Jerez) not the one on our booking (Cordoba), after returning to the key collect it took 5 minutes to sort out, the guy there was very apologetic and we were then given a 2 bed in a block called Polynesia. The accomodation was fantastic (think we might have been bumped up). All three blocks were on the same street which was maybe a 10 min walk to the beach (with kids mind!) and I found it peaceful and quiet of a night, there was a small pool which was cleaned every morning. Will have to see the cost of staying there but I can't think of any other reason that we wouldn't return to this complex. The only down side was the rental cost of a travel cot, 21 euros, as we thought this would be provided as part of our booking, though this was delivered within 1/4 an hour of leaving their office.
3 Star Corona Tortosa Hotel in Tortosa
Fairly typical Spanish Commercial Hotel. Friendly Staff, Room basic but clean, Breakfast good choice and good value.
2 Star Costamar Hotel in Calafell
This is the 2nd year running that we have stayed at these apartments and would thouroughly recommend them to anyone. We would definitely stay there again.
2 Star Cye Holiday Centre Hotel in Salou
never again will i stay here only clean sheets once a week and clean towls twice a week. the air con never worked right and the food well ill not go there and all i done when i was in bed was feel itchy
2 Star Cye Marina Apartments in La Pineda
Overall the hotel was pleasant and staff were polite and very friendly. No entertainment as we stayed towards the end of the season, but there were bars and clubs just 5 minutes away if required. Room was clean and well kept for age of hotel. This is my second time staying here and would happily go again and again.
2 Star Cye Salou Hotel in Salou
everything worked out great
3 Star Daurada Park Hotel in Cambrils
Situated on a main road with ample parking. Very good staff most helpful, but most of all the food was first class and plenty of it,inclusive of wine and water.
2 Star Decathlon-pentathlon-marathon Hotel in Salou
on arrival there was no key to enter the apartments we had booked at, we had received no communication as to how we entered the apartments. After a lengthy process of telephone calls and visiting various offices, which took approx. 2hours after the taxi had taken us to the apartment, we arrived at the Brisosol office on Caller Navarro. My daughter and granddaughter had remained in a bar with the luggage which was not very satisfactory. We were asked for our passports, which of course was with the luggage, the very nice gentleman at the office up graded our accommodation to the Los Peces rather than have us walk back after getting our passports. But we did find the whole episode of getting into any apartment very un satisfactory. We had been travelling since 7.30 a.m. and did not gain entry til 4 p.m.
3 Star Delta Hotel in Delta del Ebro
The room was very nice and we were very pleased to see the complimentary water and little box of chocolates. The food in the hotel was very good and the staff were very helpful I would stay there again and would recommend it to a friend. We did struggle to find it, but we didn't print off a map before setting off.
3 Star Diego's Hotel in Cambrils
very helpfull staff.hotel very clean ten out often exellent value
4 Star Dorada Palace Hotel in Salou
Very clean hotel. Staff were very friendly, rooms were comfortable, and the food was excellent.
2 Star Ecodunas Hotel in Delta del Ebro
Ecodunas apartments are very clean and modern - 2 bed is ideal for a family of four. Our children had the pool the themselves on the two occasions we stayed by the pool as the area is mostly visited by Spanish and Germans - Spanish were on siesta in the afternoons. Area itself is on sand dunes and very quiet - not much to do in the evening, although there are a few restaurants locally to walk to.
2 Star Edificio Cataluña 92 Hotel in Salou
I hated my stay at the Edificio Cataluna 92 Hotel.I had to wait an hour and a half in Salou to pick up the keys for the appartment because the reception was closed, and the place i had to get them from wasnt even in the appartment building-i had to enquire from a few pleople where to get them from. The appartment itself had dirty sheets on the kitchen worktop which i was told to put outside the room-but i didnt want to pick them up-so they were left there all week. The bathroom STANK of pee,i bought a bottle of bleach and cleaned it up.The lifts wouldnt open at the floor i was staying on-so i had to get out one floor down and walk up a level.....dont stay at these appartments.
1 Key Edificio Goya Hotel in Salou
The appartment was great plenty of room could have done with a kettle and airconditioning. The area was in the main street so close to bars and resturants.
4 Star El Paso Hotel Port Aventura in Port Aventura
We actually stayed in Hotel Port Aventura, not El Paso as it had been closed for refurbishment since end August! We were not informed of this by Travel Republic so were horrified when we arrived! The number given to contact Travel Republic from abroad did not work when I dialed it so I contacted the Hotel direct and managed to get through to Port Aventura Hotel who advised us to go to their hotel. We were delighted with the hotel itself, although it does need some upgrading and a lick of paint in parts but location to the theme park is excellent as El Paso is 15 minute walk away from the park entrance this hotel is at the gate. Lovely pool area & fabulous food - we were half board and it was superb
2 Star Ermita Hotel in Coma-Ruga
Amazing value, surely deserves more than two stars for food alone. Rooms basic but nothing else is - great pool, gardens, near beach. Staff friendly, but do not speak much English.
4 Star Estival Park Complex Hotel in La Pineda
we stayed in the apartments May 2007, they were great we had 2 bathrooms for 5 of us. The food was great too lots of choice,we went h.b. The evening entertainment was odd, some exellent some so poor it was laughable. Each set of apartments has it's own pool and security. It helps if you learn a few spanish words before you go.
4 Star Estival Park Resort, Sport And Spa Hotel in La Pineda
We have been staying at this resort for 20 years now the last 11 at the Estival park and in all that time we have never had a reason to complain, every thing we have asked for has been there, the staff are really friendly and helpful especially if like me you have to use a wheelchair. The food is wholesome and plentiful you really are spoilt for choice this from a diabetic who is also a fussy eater!!You really should try the Spa it is an experience that every woman should have at least once in her life.It must say something about the hotel when you go there in febuary and it's full.

3 Star Eurosalou in Salou
Great hotel for the price. Clean and staff helpful. In a quiet but traditionally Spanish area. Close to good restaurants and a pleasant stroll away from a long stretch of golden beach.
4 Star Eurostars Tarraco Hotel in Tarragona Capital
3 Star Festival Village Apartments in Cap Salou
rooms are big and good value for money
4 Star Flamingo Hotel in L'Ampolla
very clean, very helpful and friendly staff
2 Star Font De Mar Apartments in Salou
I would not recommend these appartments! Very cramped for a family of four. Very limited storage space for clothes etc. Facilities in it reasonable - 2-ring hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, television, safe deposit box (but no key) and washing machine. Balcony door didn't shut securely - my 3-year old daughter could open it without difficulty. No coffee shop/restaurant/bar as advertised although plenty of nice restaurants close by. Worst thing was having to collect keys from somewhere else (approx 15mins walk up a hill with no directions whatsoever - impossible with 2 young children, 4 suitcases, 4 pieces of hand luggage and a pushchair!!) No staff at appartments at all. No-one at office when we returned keys just after 10am although they should have opened at 9am. No maid/cleaning service at all during 10-night stay!!!
3 Star Gaudi Hotel in Reus
3 Star Golden Avenida Suites Hotel in Salou
Hotel was ok for the price,a bit noisey with young children running in the corridors.
3 Star Golden Donaire Beach Hotel in La Pineda
ENJOYED OUR THIRD HOLIDAY HERE AT DONAIRE,THE HOTEL IS ON THE BEACH,A PERFECT LOCATION,THE SANDY BEACH STRETCHES FOR MILES,AS DOES THE PROM.NOT ALOT OF ENTERTAINMENT, ONLY IN OTHER HOTELS,A VERY QUIET RESORT,BUT WITH THE BUS STOP RIGHT OUTSIDE THE HOTEL ITS ONLY A 5 MINUTE RIDE INTO SALOU,COSTS ABOUT 1.50 EUROS,LESS IF YOU BUY A TICKET FROM THE SUPERMARKET 100 YARDS ACROSS THE ROAD,OR AT THE TOBACCAS SHOPS...WHEN BOOKING THIS HOLIDAY I REQUESTED A QUIET,FRONT FACING SEA VIEW & THATS EXACTLY WHAT I GOT. I BOOKED THE FLIGHT WITH RYANAIR, THE HOTEL THROUGH TRAVEL REPUBLIC & THE COST IN TOTAL WAS £144 P/P FOR 7 NTS FULL BOARD......MARGE 64 & RON 66
3 Star Golden Port Salou And Spa Hotel in Salou
Top class hotel stayed there 3 times previously.
4 Star Gran Europe Hotel in Coma-Ruga
The good points: I found the hotel to be clean and the staff generally friendly also it was only about 10m from the beach. The bad points: Not all rooms in the hotel have windows. I was given room 528 which is on the top (fifth) floor but more importantly did not have a window. On top of this the air conditioning was not working so it got very hot and stuffy at night. The bathroom was tiny, the shower was very powerful but every time you adjusted it the flow was diverted to the tap which was annoying. Also the shower curtain did not fit and water was spilt on the floor which had to be mopped up with towels. At breakfast I was once told off for sitting at the wrong table. Everything is spread out in the restaurant, the cereals are in one place, the milk is at the counter, the hot water is somewhere else. They also serve cooked breakfasts however I didn't discover this until the end of the week as they are served out of sight in a separate part. The tennis club seems to be under new management and is now only open from 5 o'clock weekday evenings with different hours at weekends, which is a shame. The hotel is also looking a little old in places for example the stair carpet is worn. Finally the poolside bar is a little on the expensive side.
3 Star H. Top Molinos Park in Cap Salou
We went at the end of season so toward the end of the week alot was starting to shut down, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, not much for the kids to do in the day at the hotel the pool was very cold but the baby pool was a bit warmer, we had park tickets so was out every day, the did packed lunches if you requested them for lunch that was nice. The evening entertainment was ok but would of liked to of seen a bit more for the kids had a kids disco but only on for half an hour. All in all it was a nice place and a cheap and cheerful hotel. Will go back again :>)
3 Star H10 Delfin Park Hotel in Salou
The hotel was for mainly the older generation (over 50 plus). Me and mates were between 25-30 yrs of age. No bother, just a little too quiet for us. The room was clean, tidy and everything worked well. Only snag was you had to pay around 30 euros to use the fridge in the room. The restaurant was good and had a variety of decent food that catered for everyone. The beach was 5 mins away and the main high street was even closer. The nightlife was 10 mins away and during the peak season, Salou would be a great place to visit. Could not have asked for a better located hotel. Recommended.
3 Star H10 Delfin Park Hotel in Salou
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the selection of food was great. Would definately return again and book through Travel Republic
4 Star H10 Europa Park Hotel in Salou
ideal location for beach and theme park,
4 Star H10 Mediterranean Village Hotel in Cap Salou
Hotel was excellent. Well staffed, rooms very clean and the whole hotel immaculate, pool area thoroughly cleaned every evening. Entertainment team great. Buffet breakfast and dinner had lots of choice and all food very good - not good for dieters though! No complaints at all Reception staff very helpful
4 Star H10 Salauris Palace Hotel in Salou
3 Star H10 Salou Princess Hotel in Salou
This was a great hotel close to bars, restaurants shops and beautiful clean beach. Local transport on the doorstep, consists of buses and train. The hotel was clean and towels changed daily, the staff friendly and accomodating.
2 Star Hc Montsia Hotel in Amposta
very remote area, transport not very good buses do not run on time, you have to have a phrase book nobody speaks english, there is only one hotel in amposta and the staff are very good, the only thing is they dont speak any english, there is no beach within walking distance, and when you do get to a beach you have to make sure you can get transport back, overall ok for backpackers but not for the average holiday maker. plus the fact that Ryan air which fly to Reus are a complete rip off
4 Star Hesperia Centurion Hotel in Cambrils
Hotel is fair way out of town but is right by a beautiful beach with good pool and also provides free car parking facilities but the centre of town is a long walk. If you are looking for a great value hotel in a quieter edge of town location this is great option.
3 Star Ibersol Aqquaria Apartments in Salou
Apartments were lovely, very clean and in a great spot
3 Star Ibersol Atalaya Mar Apartments in Salou
Everything was broken in the room we even had a washing machine without a door. We had no hot water for 2 days and finally managed to get a technician to fix it! There was a dirty blanket in the bottom of the wardrobe and the bath was very dirty. There was 5 adults and two of the beds were bunk beds and we was given 1 toilet roll for 3 nights. There was large amounts of graffiti in the lifts as well! Would give this property a 1 star or less!
2 Star Ibersol Costa Verde Hotel in Cambrils
Don't go in October. When we arrived at night - having phoned the hotel to say we would be late the previous day - we found it locked up. Notice on main door to say closed for season. THat turned out to be the restaurant but we had to phone a number to get the guy to come and let us in. The apartment was all right but it was never cleaned once when we were there. We even had to ask to have the towels changed and a new toilet roll. There was a pool with free sunbeds - 3! Pool was tiny - any more sunbeds would have been crowded. Great for the beach though. Some restaurants and 2 supermarkets close but most of the restaurants closed before we arrived (7th Oct). Both supermarkets closed on day we were leaving. Better to stay in Salou or Cambrils.
1 Star Ibersol Salou Pacific Hotel in Salou
On arrival at this 'dump' we were given the keys to our room, were we found the sofa bed completely bent and broken unsuitable and unsafe for our daughter to sleep on, the freezer compartment of the fridge was a solid block of ice and the fridge door was open with a towel on the floor to mop up the water, the light in the bathroom didn't work. We asked for a change of room which to be fair we had no problems about, except that we had to sweep and mop the floor before allowing the children to walk around with bare feet. During our 4 day stay we had no change of bedding no clean towels and the one and only toilet roll that was left for us on day 1, the room was never cleaned. On our last day a baby did a poo in the small baby pool, I reported this to reception and asked that it be closed or cleaned as there were a lot of children around the pool, 3 times I went into reception and it was never delt with!! The steps up to the entrance of the hotel were filthly with sand, cigarette butts, and sweet papers this was never swept during our 4 day stay!
2 Star Ibersol Sol De Espana Hotel in Cambrils
Our apartment block had no reception and we had not been advised by Travel Republic where to pick up our key. Thankfully my husband could speak some Spanish and was eventually advised to try the Costa Verde, who at first seemed unsure themselves about the location of our key. Details of where to find our key and instructions were passed to my husband with our key. Rather too late we thought! We were directed to our apartment by the local caretaker of the apartments who advised us that he only worked from 9am to 7pm. If we had arrived outside these hours goodness knows how we would have got on! The instructions that we were given for departure said to leave the keys of the apartment on our dining room table and close the door behind us. Our return flight to Stansted was at 10.35am and our pick-up taxi was booked for 7.35am. We followed the instructions, in our supposed welcome pack, from Ibersol and left the keys on our dining room table and closed the apartment door behind us. When we travelled down from our fourth floor apartment in the lift we found that the downstair exit door for Block E was locked and we could not get out. This was very stressful as there were very few other holidaymakers staying in block E. We tried ringing several telephone numbers that we had but at 7.30am there was no reply. If we had waited until 9am when the apartment caretaker arrived we would have missed our flight home. I tried ringing the emergency number 112 but they were unsure of our location as we were between Cambrils and Salou. Eventually I had to run up all four stairwells and shout for help. After quite some time somebody heard me and kindly came down and unlocked the outside door for block E so that we could get out. The whole experience was incredibly upsetting and the health and safety implications of being locked in our apartment block didn't bear thinking about. If there had been a fire or we had needed to evacuate the building for some other health hazard this would have been impossible for us.
2 Star Imperial Salou Hotel in Salou
The apartment was basicly furnished Ideal if you are only sleeping there, but we (2 adults 2 kids) found how uncomfortable it was when we were holed up by a torential storm. There wasnt an oven and no bowls to use in the microwave. We had to hire a kettle £9 +deposit and toaster £10 + deposit which is shown as included in hotel discription. We didnt use the pool too cold but mainly because it didnt look very inviting. But our main gripe was that on arrival we were asked for 150Euros deposit. This would have been a big chunk out of someones spending money we had to leave £100 luckily we had it to leave! Abou the manager was very pleasant he lives on site and was happy to help.
4 Star Imperial Tarraco Hotel in Tarragona Capital
Excellent location next to the old town. Short walk to railway station and port. Sea views and south facing balconies at a supplement.
3 Key Internacional II Apartments in Salou
2 Star Internacional Playa Apartments in Cambrils
Perfect location, sea front as well as supermarkets close by. Out of the 'busy' part of Salou, very Spanish! Fantastic pool, kids loved it! Resort team very helpful, shame about the air con!
3 Star Jaime I Hotel in Salou
i was very impressed with the hotel, the food was excellent with plenty of choice both at breakfast and evening meal, the room was for 4 adults we has two balconys and an extra large bath room and the maid service was good. It was close to both the beach and the local pub. clubs and shops. i would recommend this hotel and location to all.
2 Star L'et Hotel in Cambrils
Hotel was basic, clean and food was good but mainly for a Spanish palate. Staff were friendly and helpful.
2 Star L´et Hotel in Cambrils
our hotel was on a motor way, we had to have a taxi from the hotel into cambrils and also in salou as there was no public transport. this became expense asa round trip would cost roughly 30 euros. the hotel was clean, but spanish was the first language. there was onyl one receptionist that was able to speak english, and all other staff were unable too. the bar staff were rude to use for being british, but this may have been through frustration of not speaking english. one waitress ignored us when we wanted to order and served spanish resisdents instead. the breakfast was ok, not alot on offer and was a more european based hotel. there were no sun loungers by the very small pool, which was next to the main road between salou and barcelona!
4 Star La Hacienda Gran Hotel in La Pineda
hotel was spotlessly clean, 2 double beds in the room. the food could have been better but there was something different each night, although you could see if leftovers had been turned into something else (i.e soup, deep fried). all inclusive option works by signing the till reciept each time we found this not to be a problem at all. the pool area had a maximum of 15 20 people round it as we stayed in sept oct so wasnt busy at all. the hotel has 2 external acts come in each week for entertainment, otherwise it is the animation couple using wii sports, singstar for karaoke or a movie quiz, the mini disco each night without fail!! the hotel caters for spanish weddings which we saw when there but this doesnt intrude on the holiday makers space. as this is not a tour operater hotel please be aware that there are a lot of other nationalities that use the hotel, but this wasnt a problem. the beach is about a 5 min stroll away along with the promenade of shops so the hotel is very quiet during the day. there is a local bus stop outside the hotel so other resorts are really easy to reach and very cheaply.
2 Star La Llosa in Cambrils
place was fine wouldnt fly with ryanair again there service was very poor.
2 Star Larimar Hotel in Salou
Apartment was okay, would have been excellent if it had been cleaned first. toilet seat, toilet door lock and shower head were broken, which was annoying as they could be easily remedied. getting the keys was a problem, Les Pesces no longer exists, so ask for directions to the Fox & Hounds pub, the keys are kept on the corner of the adjoining apartments.
4 Star Las Vegas Hotel in Salou
This was a lovely hotel, just as described on Travel Republic, the food was excellent, the room was just as I asked for, a high room with a wonderful view of the sea and the whole of salou. The rooms are bright and very clean. I would say this hotel is more of a 4 star.
3 Star Lauria Hotel in Tarragona Capital
Having stayed in this hotel before and liked it very much, we decided to come back. It is just as nice as we thought with helpful, friendly but unobtrusive staff. The only slight disappointment is with the outdoor pool which is so inviting but when we stayed in October, whilst the weather was beautiful, the pool didn't appear all that inviting mainly because of the pigeons who seemed to be enjoying it a bit too much. Also, the outdoor furniture needed to be cleaned before we could sit down. Otherwise, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable break.
2 Star Les Dalies Hotel in Salou
Clean apartments in a good location
2 Star Los Juncos Apartments in La Pineda
2 Star Los Peces Apartments in Salou
The location was nice, however it did get really noisey at night. The hygiene in the apartment could of been much better, especially in the bathroom. Given that I had two young children.
4 Star Magnolia Hotel in Salou
Fab place to go and chill out.. friendly staff.. really clean and tidy... fantastic
2 Star Marina Club Apartments in Salou
2 Star Marinada Hotel in Salou
Pleasantly suprised by the hotel. we paid around £40 a night for my son and myself which was full board. The food won't win any awards but you're not going to go hungry either, not a great choice but as long as you are only there for a few nights it shouldn't bother you too much. Strength of the euro means bar prices are not exactly cheap but not wildly expensive, bottle of beer was €1.85 and a pint was €2.70. There was some entertainment but we went in late October so we didn't expect loads so weren't disappointed. Staff were ok, dining room ones were the most pleasant. Rooms cleaned daily and plenty of room for 2 but possibly a bit cramped for 3. All in all we had a nice time, though we only really used as a base for Port Aventura which was easily accessible from the bus stop around the corner and took approx 15 mins. Cheapest option was a bonabus pass which is good for 10 journies and cost €10.70, so that works out at about £1 per journey. Beach about a 10 minute walk, but there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on the route there and back. Would I stay again? Yep, probably would.
2 Star Mariposa Apartments in Salou
The only problem you have is when you arrive their is no obvious reception we arrived in day time and a lady came from Zeus information office which is reception (but is not obvious) and was very helpful also reception is open 9.30 to 13.00 and 16.00 to 21.00 so if your leaving out of these times you need to see reception for the refund of your deposit (£ 80). The rooms our very and clean. Would use them again in a good position.
4 Star Marvel Comarruga Beach Hotel in Coma-Ruga
Nice hotel with clean spacious rooms, Food bland, but excellent All inclusive options on the drinks that was good value. Hotel management very poor with the hotel manager being exceptionally rude over a safety deposits boxes. They charge, but there is no infomation in the room regarding this. I suggested this was something the hotel needed to improve upon so that guest knew at the outset what they were being chared. Would not go back due to this and am still trying to contact the group regarding this matter, but they seem to not want to return emails!!!
4 Star Mas Gallau Hotel in Cambrils
Beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. Very friendly and efficient staff. Quite a way out of Cambrils (4-5 km), but a flat walk for the healthy.
2 Star Mediterranean Suite Hotel in Salou
hotel a lot better than previous reviews said, room was great, balcony was massive and stretched around 2 sides of the building. staff in reception were great and very helpful, helped us plan a trip to barcelona no problem. only downside was no air conditioning in the bedroom
3 Star Medworld Imperial Salou Apartments in Salou
Apartment Concierge could have done much better. Disappointing performance especially when we were checking out. Would recommend anyone on checking in to examine their room closely to ensure that everything is as it should be. Check out time is 10am in the morning. We were not advised by anyone and this created some issues. Safety deposit box that held our deposits could not be opened and we had to wait 45 mins for a solution when we needed to be on our way to the airport. Apart from that........The apartment itself was to be recommended.
2 Star Medworld Palas Salou Apartments in Salou
When we arrived we were met by a very pleasant young man. He was very security concious and would not let us in until he was satisfied we were who we said we were. The apartment was great. It was very clean and everything was in good working order. It was close to the railway station, just a couple of hundred yards and it was just a further 100 yards, or so to the beach. If there was any downside it was that the pool has not been cleaned in some time but, as it was March we did not find that a problem. As the apartment is in the old town it would be a good idea to swot up on a little Spanish.
2 Star Medworld Salou Center Apartments in Salou
Very easy access to local services. Rail line very close but stops around 10 pm. Apartments well equipped dishwasher/washing machine, but no kettle toaster or hairdryer. some items can be hired. Kettle €9 per week. Iron €2 per hour. Nice clean pool but quite deep, youngsters would not be able to stand up once off steps. Lift to all floors is very good as a small apartment block. Custodian lives on site.
2 Star Medworld Salou Mediterraneo Apartments in Salou
Great apartments very quiet and a bit of a walk to anywhere 10 mins to beach 10 mins to shops but main resort is along way and 7 euros by taxi. but that is the only bad thing very large apartments very clean and tidy nice pool and very quiet area with no noise at night at all.

our hotel room was very cramped and next door could see right in therefore we had to keep door and curtains closed all the time we were in. the railing round the veranda was quite dangerous for children. i definately would not go back to this hotel.
3 Star Meridia Mar Hotel in Hospitalet de l'Infant
Tremendous hotel - nice rooms, friendly staff and excellent value Full Board with good food - we will return
3 Star Michelangelo Hotel in Salou
We had an apartment in this Hotel and it was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a really good choice of buffet food, and a chef at hot plates making fresh food as well. It was only a short stroll down a tree lined street to the promenade and beach, or to the shops bars etc. The only down side was the swimming pool area which is in need of modernisation. I would definately go back.
4 Star Monica Hotel in Cambrils

3 Star Nou Hotel in La Selva del Camp
hotel was very basic fine for overnight but no longer very far from beach and area very calm.
3 Star Nova Senia Hotel in Tortosa
lovely contemporary hotel in quiet rural area. Hotel was almost empty during our stay (so very quiet) but I imagine it could be noisy if busy with wooden floors in rooms and plumbing noise. Excellent value for money. Restaurant excellent for evening meal but not open until 9pm. Breakfast rather average. Would happily return again.
4 Star Occidental Allegro Blau Mar Hotel in Salou
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and found it to be very good our room had a bathroom a little sitting area with a bed sette a table and 3 chairs and a small kitchen area ie two hobs and a fridge. On arrival our fridge was not working and we reported this to reception and a couple of hours later two maintainence men arrived and installed a new one which worked fine so top marks there. We also had two single beds which you could close off by two double doors at night. All in all a nice hotel room. The food was wonderful with loads of choices and there was a show cooking every night. I would recomend this hotel to anyone.
3 Star Olimar II Apartments in Cambrils

2 Star Ontario Hotel in Cap Salou
Apartments weren't too bad . Staff were not very friendly, we arrived on the Friday and didn't see a maid until Monday!! There were 7 of us staying in the apt. so we had ran out of fresh towels & toilet roll, we went to reception on Sat to see whe the maid was coming & they said Monday, receptionist begrudgingly gave us some toilet roll & arranged for the maintenance man (!) to leave us up some towels. Ok if you are just using the apt's for a base, which is basically what we did. Thought the price fitted what you got in terms of accomodation. Another thing the pool closed strictly at 7.00 pm, which we thought was a bit early.
4 Star Palas Pineda Hotel in La Pineda
Fantastic value for money and just across the road from a lovely beach. Breakfast left a bit to be desired but apart from the food the hotel was fine.
4 Star Parador Hotel in Tortosa
Very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Comfortable bedroom, good bathroom and very clean. Breakfast buffet good. Excellent restaurant. We will definitely stay there again when we are in that area.
3 Star Pierre And Vacances Bonavista De Bonmont Hotel in Mont Roig Playa
WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE TOLD THAT THE HOTEL WAS CLOSED BUT THEY STILL LET US IN AND GAVE US AN APARTMENT BUT WE HAD NO HEATING EVEN THOUGH WE GOT A MAINTENANCE MAN OUT TO CHECK IT BUT NO HEAT WHAT SO EVER,IN THE EVENING WE WERE WRAPPED UP IN BLANKETS TO STAY WARM PLUS THE NEAREST SUPERMARKET WAS ABOUT THREE QUATERS OF AN HOURS AWAY IN A CAR,HARDLY ANY SHOPS OR PLACES WERE OPENED WHEN WE VISITED CERTAIN TOWNS ETC,VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE HOLIDAY IN ALL.IN THE SUMMER THE RESORT WOULD BE LOVELY TO STAY AT BUT NOT IN THE LATER MONTHS.WE SHOULD OF BEEN TOLD AT THE TIME OF BOOKING THAT THE RESORT WAS CLOSED,THE HEAD OFFICE SHOULDNT OF TAKEN OUR RESERVATION WHEN THEY KNEW THAT IT WAS CLOSED.I THINK WE SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO SOME OF OUR MONEY BACK.

4 Star Pino Alto Hotel in Miami Playa
Hotel probably needs freshening up a bit. Rooms are becoming a bit dated. Food was good. Plenty of variety. Gym needs replaced. Not a Uk standard 4 star hotel. Overall nice hotel for a quiet family holiday. We were only English speaking residents but not a problem as most staff could understand English.
3 Key Pins Platja Apartments in Cambrils
We went from 22-27 October and most of the facilities at the hotel were closed but the room was lovely and clean and a good size with all a well equipped kitchen. My son said the pool was very cold but again I think this was because we went out of season!! Very friendly staff in reception which always seemed to be manned.
3 Star Planas Hotel in Salou
The hotel was good, the problem we had was the outside noise. There was a disco on all night, it was very noisey.
2 Star Playa Cambrils Camping in Cambrils
3 Star Playa De Oro Hotel in Salou
On arrival I was initially disappointed as the hotel looked very small and dated compared to other hotels I have stayed in recently. However I soon got to really like it. It has a real homely feel and the food was absolutely excellent. I would definitely book again.
3 Star Playa Margarita Hotel in Salou
We were changed to this hotel as the hotel we had booked was double booked and what a brilliant choice of hotel to send us to.......... 2 min to the shops & bars, 2 min to beach what more could you want. Food was excellent, entertainment was good (even though most of it was in Spanish!!) all in all 9/10 :-)
3 Star Playa Park Hotel in Salou
We had a wonderful time whilst staying at the playa park hotel in salou. the staff couldnt have been more friendly and the food was great. the only downside was the hotel pool was shaded for most of the day which meant the pool was freezing.
4 Star Port Eugeni Hotel in Cambrils
we were alittle worried having read some reviews about the position of our room, but we had nothing to worry about room 301 excellent overlooking front of hotel. The rooms without balcony are not so great overlooking central void. Pool is only good for a quick dip after the beach, no atmosphere no bar. Dining room is ok food good, lunch is well worth having there. One very big minus is to get to dining room you walk by there bar come bistro area that is full of smokers especially at breakfast!! This is not a family friendly bar no entertainment, more for locals popping in. Would go back to Cambrils which is great though very expensive, but prefered the Tryp port hotel.
3 Star Port Vinyols Hotel in Cambrils
Nice enough place. I picked it because we had a hire car and the parking fees closer into Cambrills were about 20 Euro+ per day. The hotel felt a bit like a motel rather than a hotel with many people just staying overnight including some people working in the local area. I had a room at the back of the hotel and was not disturbed by road noise which would be a problem at the front of the property. Transient clientele meant that the pool area was generally private and quiet.
4 Star Portaventura Hotel in Port Aventura
We have stayed here once before and found it excellent. The hot and cold buffet for breakfast and evening meals are wonderful for families (as long as you aren't looking for a fine dining experience, although there is a more traditional restaurant there also). I marked it down as not suitable for older people, this was down to the distance between the room and Reception etc. It just depends whether you have any difficulty in walking, our room was about 200m away from the facilities. The hotel is arranged around a large water area and we were at the far end.
3 Star President Hotel in Salou
Hotel has recently been refurbished - nice decor and quality installations - flat screen tv (didn't use it though), air conditioning unit (at no extra cost), fridge, hairdyer in bathroom - huge power shower - towels changed daily loads of wardrobe space and a safe if required at extra cost. Restaurant was spacious and bright - cooked breakfast wasa little cold but different selection every day - apart fro that there was a selection of cereals and fruit , bread, cheeses and cold meats to suit all palates. This hotel is in a GREAT LOCATION - literally 2 mins walk to train station which takes you straight to Salou in 90 minutes. It is also 50 metres from a huge sandy beach. Restaurants and nightlife all within a 5 - 10 minute walk, far enough away from to escape if you need a good sleep. There is a small trade off though - no pool. The proximity of the beach balances that out though and the roof top jacquzzi trumps it completely!! Great views from rooftop over Salou and the long sandy beach - sit in you bubbles sipping a cold beer and admire the view - fantastic!! I didn't like the late breakfast - startd at 8am till 10am - a bit late if you want to make an early start. Then again there are plenty of snack and coffee bars open early and within 75 metres walk. The hotel could not be better placed and is immaculately clean. I would recommend this hotel and would return tomorrow!
3 Star Princep Hotel in Cambrils
This hotel was as described and allthough it was in the centre it was not noisy. The maid service was excellent and the staff were helpful. Cambrills is a very pretty place with good shops and beaches. Highly recomended.
3 Key Priorat Hotel in Salou
very good value for money not got 24 hour reception though
3 Star Pueblo El Dorado Playa Hotel in Creixell
We stayed in one of the cortijo bungalows and loved it. A short walk to the pools and beach and everywhere was clean and planted areas well maintained. On the site (which is called Urbanizacion pueblo el dorado) you enter past a reception building. The privately owned bungalows are to the right and on the left are the cortijo bungalows. Down a small hill are more villas and a small supermarket and then one of the pool areas with the atrium bungalows and the hotel. the hotel seemed mostly empty while we were there and although it is close to the beach the majority of rooms look over the gardens (which are lovely). The pools were fantastic - plenty of space and no trouble getting sunbeds at any time of day. There was always plenty of shade - the sunbathing areas are grass with olive and palm trees rather than umbrellas. Our 2 year old son had a great time in both pools. The newer one near the spa centre is card access only and security do random checks to make sure non residents haven't sneaked in! We didn't use the spa centre as no under 12s allowed and we also didn't eat in the hotel buffet as it was quite expensive. There is a small children's play area in the hotel grounds near the restaurant and table tennis tables as well. We also didn't use any of the sports facilities - there is windsurfing, kite surfing, tennis lessons etc all available at a price although they did run some free taster sessions while we were there. You can hire beach umbrellas for a 10 euro refundable deposit and beach towels for a 5 euro refundable deposit (and pay another 1 euro if you want them changed at all). This worked well for us as with a toddler we needed the shade and werent too fussed about having sunbeds on the beach we just needed an umbrella. Worth noting that British guests are definitely in the minority at this hotel - not something that bothered us at all and was quite nice to be somewhere where it actually felt you wre abroad! The majority of guests were French and German and menus at the pool cafe were only in Spanish, French and german and these are the 3 languages of hotel staff who don't speak much English. We found this to be the norm in the surrounding towns as well (with the exception of salou) although menus were in english as well. we found everywhere quite empty of tourists which surprised us - not sure if it was jsut the time of year (first week in July), the high exchange rate which made meals out cost about the same as in England, or jsut that this isn't a very touristy part of Spain. We really enjoyed it as it meant that when we ate out in the nearby town of Cambrils it was nearly all locals out and about and that there was plenty of room on all the beaches. Not sure it would have been as enjoyable had we been fighting for sunbeds! The whole area felt very safe - there are security guards on patrol at night and lifeguards at the pools. The pools are open from 10am to 8pm every day. The bungalow itself had 2 bedrooms and we hired a cot for 30euros for the week. What the hotel website doesn't realy make a big deal of is that you have your own private courtyard with each bungalow with table and 4 chairs and big umbrella and 2 sunloungers in it. There are ceiling fans in the 2 bedrooms which were fine to make the heat bearable in early July and should be up to the job in August as well. There is also a safety deposit box which doesn't cost any extra to use. No baths, only showers and the kitchen has fridge freezer, oven and hob but no microwave. The windows have metal bars over them - in an ornate way not a prison type way! As the bungalows are obviously all on the ground level and having a toddler with us I quite liked this added security. Sheets were changed and bins emptied once while we were there which was plenty - I don't really need new sheets each day! You could pay for extra cleaning if you wanted it. Overall a lovely complex with friendly staff and clean, airy, child safe accomodation . Would definitely return - probably at the same time of year as we loved the space everywhere.
3 Star Quality Hotel in Reus
the hotel was a shock. it was like going to bayroot; hotel was priitty decent. but i have never sin amost scruffy place in my life.looking threw the window was like a dump.i wold never send anybody to there unless the place was inproved 100 percent
5 Star Ra Hotel in El Vendrell
3 Star Ramblas Miramar Hotel in Calafell
Was a lovely hotel perfectly located with everything you want from shops, restaurants, cocktail and cafe bars!! We had a large balcony overlooking the Beach front which was excellent. Very friendly and accomodating staff.
4 Star Regente Aragon Hotel in Salou
Eventhough the Hotel was suffering from the credit crunch, the service was great & the friendliness of the staff made or short stay really enjoyable.
4 Star Regina Gran Hotel in Salou
Would stay here again - food was excellent, near attractions. Entertainment was poor.
3 Star Residencial Aqquaria Hotel in Salou
There is no reception so it is hard to find your room. The rooms themselves are beautiful top of the range bathrooms, kitchens etc etc. Nice comfy double bed. The spa does not open during the day except on Saturday and Sunday (10-5pm) during the week it opens at 5pm. Travel Republic didn't tell us that you have to leave a 100E deposit at the Hotel Caspel - but you get it back when you book out. It's quite a walk from the Caspel to the Aqquaria where you pick your key up from. The pool area is beautiful - but there's no sunbeds (maybe they'll have them in summer). We couldn't go in outside pool 'cos it was too cold in February. The apartments really are big and there's two huge balconies and two bathrooms. All in all we went at the wrong time of year because Salou was so quiet but the apartments are beautiful.
4 Star Romana Hotel in Salou
Food in hotel is excellent and all staff very helpful & friendly. Hotel in an excellent location close to theme park would highly recommend.
4 Star Salou Park Hotel in Salou
This was my second trip to Salou Park. Before travelling I had read the reviews and noted that particular mention was made about the staff being unwelcoming and not very pleasant. I feel that I have to endorse these reviewer's comments - not once did I see a receptionist smile or greet anyone. When asking for assistance we felt as though we were being a nuisance and when we asked for extra pillows they never appeared. We had an early flight and when we asked if an early breakfast was possible we were told that it would be OK but when we appeared at the appointed time the restaurant was closed and the staff seemed annoyed that we had bothered them, stating a mistake had been made - our breakfast was a few pieces of fruit and sugary biscuits so not really worth the bother.
3 Star Salou Suites Hotel in Salou
3 Star San Salvador Hotel in Coma-Ruga
We had fantastic stay. Although it was before season, hotel was fairly busy and had live entertainment every day. Very helpful staff, clean rooms and all food was fantastic. I read some comments before about food being not Spanish enough – absolutely not true. Really good place to stay for small money.
2 Star Sant Jordi Apartments in Salou
We stayed in these apartments in Aug 2009 and due to the low cost wasnt expecting great things. We just wanted somewhere to sleep. We were really surprised. They are basic but clean and there was always hot water for showers or baths. They are smack bang in the middle of Central Salou and are a 1 minute walk from the Beach with shops, pubs and restaurants all around. The bus to go to barcelona, port avenutra, cambrils, tarrangona is right outside too. It is noisy at night until about 2am - 3am but it didnt stop us sleeping and it was quite nice to sit on the balcony with a drink and watch Salou come alive at night but i wouldnt recommend if you like a early evening. You can also see the fountains lit up at night too easily from the balacony. The downside is there is no air conditioning and the kitchen utensils are sparce but we never intended to cook anything anyway. There is no pool but the beach is literally across the road. Also you have to collect your key from another hotel which is along the seafront near McDonalds. It is a 5 min walk away
3 Star Santa Monica Hotel in Salou
Hotel was very basic. Rooms need updating. No little extras like hairdryers. 1 English speaking channel on the TV. Bathrooms were poor. Had to wade through gallons of water which leaked through shower screen onto the floor. Had a room which looked over the bins at the back of the hotel which they seemed to empty about 3am in the morning, which made it extremely noisy. Food was very poor, everything seemed to be in some sort of strange sauce.
3 Star Sb Express Hotel in Tarragona Capital
3 Key Siesta Dorada Club Hotel in Cap Salou
Pool closed so kids were not happy had to go to another hotel for pool and food. Guests above us very very noisey did complain but got told buy reception to phone police. Only 3 cups in room but 6 of us all cuttlery had to be washed before use dirty.
4 Star Sol Costa Daurada Hotel in Salou
Couldn't really fault the hotel. Very clean and modern. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms & Bathroom good size and well euipped. We stayed out of season and the hotel was less than half full so don't know what it's like when its busy. Location was 20 minutes from beach. 5 - 10 minute walk to nearest shops/bars. Very close to Port Aventura although this was closed in February. Would definitely go back to hotel. Booked through Travel Republic who were excellent and i would also use again.
4 Star Sol Piramide Salou Hotel in Salou
Having stayed at Sol Melia hotels previously I was somewhat disappointed with this one. The location of the hotel was good and the rooms were comfortable and spacious with adequate balconies. Where this hotel let itself down was on the food and service sides. The food was pretty boring compared to other 4 star Sol hotels and much appeared to be a repetition, variation of the previous night. The clearing service in the restaurant was inconsistent, on some occasions there was no one clearing plates and on other occasions there were at least 4 people. In the downstairs bar it appeared to be more important to finish a conversation than to serve a customer. However, the reception staff were very helpful and polite. If I were to visit Salou again I would book a different hotel.
3 Star Solimar Apartments in Calafell
Staff speak English, and are very helpful. Not luxurious, but it IS only a 3 star. Very clean. Buffet restaurant is ok too. Hotel is not too noisy despite central location.
4 Star Sunclub Salou Apartments in Cap Salou
Just outside Salou but buses are regular and you can walk it in around 15 minutes
4 Star Termes Montbrio Hotel in Montbrio del Camp
Excellent hotel at a really good price. English translation of restaurant menu however was very poor but everything else was definitely 4* standard. We will look again for a similar deal for this hotel with travel republic next year, at the same time.
4 Star Terramarina Hotel in La Pineda
This hotel was fantastic all very modern decor and definatley a four star for the room. The food although very good on the whole we have had better but still there was slow cooking and plenty of choice you would never go hungry and the restaurant area is very roomy and glass down to the ground so you could see the sea from your table. The room it self is very modern as i have said we had a little sofa two single beds a fride and the a wonderful walk in shower with a massive head and a seperate shower attachment, we even had a flat screen televison with a music and radio channles. All in all we would definatley go back to this hotel and would recomend it to all our friends.
4 Star Tryp Port Cambrils Hotel in Cambrils
Excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was superb with lots of choice.
3 Star Urbis Centre Hotel in Tarragona Capital
The hotel was in a good central position (although further away from Portaventura than we thought). It was clean and the breakfasts were fine if a little samey every morning. The room though was really too small for a family of 4. It was as if it was a double room and they just put two more beds in it.
3 Star Venecia Park Hotel in Salou
hotel was ok the food was just about warm any colder you would not be able to eat it
2 Star Ventura Apartments in Salou
On arrival i was told we had to swop accomodation due to the cleaner loosing the keys . I collected the family and walked the 20 mins to the next appt as there were no taxis around this area . When we found the appt block , we could not gain access as the keys did not fit the front gate . Back to the office i went where the maintenance man was called to let us in . He got us through the front gate , but could not gain access to the appt . He went back to the office to get some keys for another appt . When he returned i asked him to try the ground floor appt with the original key , and hey presto it worked . The trouble was , they did not have a spare key for the front gate or door , so we could not all go out for a meal as we would not be able to get back in ! . The following day , at 12.00 i collected a key which enabled us to come and go as we pleased . Oh , the appt , clean and tidy , microwave , oven , fridge , washer and a toaster but 12 euros for the hire of a kettle for a week .
4 Star Vil.la Romana Hotel in Salou
The hotel was clean, very nicely set out and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a fair size and also very clean. I would definatley stay there again.
2 Star Villa Jardin Hotel in Cambrils
First apartment was disgusting. I don't know when it was last cleaned. the bath was caked in dead flys. one of the beds smelt of strong urine.I went to place in washer it wouldn't work. Then i noticed the washer top was missing. went to bar to conplain which is whereyou collect keys from not the other hotel as stated on paper work. The guy give us some more keys to another apartment that didn't work.so off we went again for more keys 3rd time lucky though as this apartment was loads better, very clean no dead flys and washer that worked.
2 Star Village Park Hotel in Salou
A good appartment, 10 minutes from Port Aventura theme park by foot, and ten minutes to town / beech by foot. The appartment was a good size and clean. Managed without hiring a car, bus available from Reus aiport to close by, and transport locally was pretty good. We went out of season (late April) with our three children. Our room was with ensuite, second bedroom with two single beds, and additional fold out beds in the living area. Appartment complete with cooke (although we did not cook) and washing machine. Pool does not open until May (this was clearly stated), for those who go later in the year there are pools outside in the apparment complex. In late April the Theme park is not very busy, so quick to get on the various rides. Appartment comforatbly fits 2 adults, 2 children. There is a pull out double bed in the living area (if you need to squeeze in more).
3 Star Villamarina Club in Salou
3 Star Vistamar Hotel in Hospitalet de l'Infant
The food was not very nice, and similiar each day. The bed was very hard. However, the hotel was faultlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
3 Star Voramar Hotel in Cambrils
3 Star Zahara Apartments in Salou
Apartment was excellent value for the money, it is centrally located, clean with supermarket and spanish snackbar underneath which serves good food. Points to bear in mind are: Checkin at Brisasol (just across the road from the aparments) not until 5pm (bags can be left at Brisasol in a locked room), E50 deposit per person required which can be done with a credit card swipe. No kettle, toaster or TV (can be rented but only local stations), towels approx half bath towel size. Room service, linen etc change once a week. If we return to Salou would certainly stay there again.
2 Star Zahara/azahar Apartments in Salou
basic accommodation, everything needed was there except a kettle.check in accross road no problem.we arrived earlier than check in time but they had room ready for us.
3 Star Zeus Albatros Apartments in Salou
These apartments are not four star but a reasonable three, they are spacious but as seems the norm in Spain lack sufficient wardrobe space when fully occupied. The bar restaurant serving the apartments Bid Als Bistro run by Al and Derek is excellent, food brilliant and inexpensive. The price of local beer 2 euros and two happy hours a day with local beers and spirits two for one and nightly entertainment. The one downside was there was some noise in the early hours on a couple of occassions but with some prompting from guests was soon stopped. I will definately be staying here again
3 Star Zeus San Jordi Apartments in Salou
Very basic apartments, in need of a major overhaul! Right on the front street so lots of noise especially into the early morning from late night revellers from the nightclubs. They seem to leave in waves - 2.30 am, 3.30 am and 5.30 am. If you stay here don't expect to get a decent night's sleep. Key collection was from the Albatros Apartments which are quite a distance from the San Jordi apartments and uphill in baking heat! When booking be aware there IS A DEPOSIT OF ANYTHING FROM 100 EUROS UP TO 150 EUROS - this is not mentioned anywhere at time of booking. Apartments are equipped with microwave oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, pots/pans etc, iron and hair dryer. There is no air conditioning which I think could be included if they do a revamp. We had a corner apartment so the balcony was huge but be aware if you have children that these are glass fronted with what appears to be plastic netting type stuff to cover the gaps however the majority of this had very large holes in them or the clips had come away thus the netting was sticking out in places - quite dangerous for little ones so keep a very close eye on them.
