"It was strange not having an actual reception to check in with but we found the Essiness travel agent (over the roadf rom the apartment) and who liaised on our behalf to be very good. However, if there had been a problem out of hours I am not sure whom we would have contacted - for example if we had lost our room key - the cleaner seemed to be the only point of contact who worked from 0930-1430 hours!"

"This is not a five star hotel - and staff appear a little off hand. Having stayed in one of the junior suites with plunge pool, the room was dirty on arrival and quite dark - although this was quickly remedied it was clear that expressing our concern was not appreciated. The position of the hotel was fairly isolated but had beautiful scenery. A number of steps or lift takes you to the pool which was very attractive - sunloungers available but very hard! (the lounger covers had very little padding and were very stained). With regards to eating, the morning breakfast was exceptionally good and the pool restaurant ok. The evening restaurants (2) were not good however - the buffet style restaurant was particularly bad (25e pp) having very dry food and limited choice for main meal (wasps ++ ). Alternative eating was really in nearby Nidri (buses available at great price of 1.40e pp V taxi at 12e). Overall - overpriced and definately not 5 star - would not go back."

"Aggios Studios Hotel was excellent. It had a lovely pool, it was very clean, bedding and towels changed mid-week. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and it was close to restaurants and shops without being noisey."
