"We had a lovely time at the Pela Hotel. It was a very quiet resort generally (probably owing to the fact it was the end of the season and the locals were packing up for the winter) but if you just want a few good restaurants and cheap and friendly tavernas then this is ideal. The hotel itself was clean and smart and the family who ran it were very friendly. There were no children around and very few English people. When we arrived we were told that there was no room for us at the hotel because the XL collapse had meant that people were stuck/having rescue packages, but we were put up in the hotel next door and given a wonderful dinner by way of compensation. The Breakfast was good and there was always plenty of food. Only down side was that towels were only changed twice while we were there (9 nights) and there were lots of wasps around, but that seemed to be so for the rest of the resort due to the time of year (late September)."

"It is not a problem that there are no restaurants or entertainment facilities nearby as the hotel provides a barbeque each week, plus there are some local tavernas (typical greek food---ie. NO fast food restaurants) nearby. Also the hotel provides a free bus services to/from the town of Molyvos 4 times a day. Molyvos is the main town and at 2km away from the hotel at Eftalou it is within easy walking distance. Eftalou itself is where you will find the natural hot springs. The Hotel Bella Vista is run by an American/Greek and he manages the hotel very efficiently. All the staff are friendly, the cleaning staff have to be the best I have come across in many years of travel. The buffet-style breakfast is excellent with a choice of hot and cold food. The pool is large and clean."
