"The first room we were allocated was very basic, with only an attic window. However, when the lights failed, we were moved for the night to another good room without kitchen. The following day we were given a much better room with which we were quite pleased. The bathroom was a good size, the towels changed every day, hairdryer, soaps were present; the beds were partly partitioned from the dining area and the beds made each day. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although this was not luxurious, everything was spotless and the cooking utensils and crockery good. I suspect we were upgraded, and this made a lot of difference. We enjoyed our stay."
Top Tip:
"Lots of eating places, including a small cafe opposite the hotel entrance, but plenty around the harbour. Prices about the same as here."

"The hotel was very comfortable, there is 24 hour reception with very helpful staff.
If you want to stay right in the centre of things fairly cheaply I would highly reccommend the Da Se apartments which we found to be excellent value for money."
Top Tip:
"If you are self-catering then get directions to the Sa supermarket which is brilliant.
Try the cafes in the small side streets surrounding the cathedral for a cheaper and more Portugese experience than you get on the harbourside which can be a bit pricey.
We liked Cafe Murcas which did the best limpets we had-turn right out of the hotel and take the second right off the square."
