"The credit crunch means Brits are welcome now.No English TV, but other languages catered for.Breakfast is disgusting and evening meal is just about OK. Free complimentary drinks with all evening meals and there is no limit.Swimming pool is shared with the Sol Y Sombra hotel opposite.Its too small for both hotels and resembles a building site with buckets and mops all over the place. avoid this area.The beach is quite a walk away as is the centre of town.Single people get rooms without a balcony as per usual. Hotel is very clean and rooms are cleaned daily as is towel exchange.No shampoo or shower gel provided so make sure to take some with you.Whilst it is not too bad I would say find another hotel if possible but if you have to use it.Staff are very helpful so its up to you."

"Hotel for the spanish. Aimed at spanish. Reception staff did not speak any English (yes I know it's in Spain). Food mostly cold no matter what time you go to eat. No refreshment's avialibale at all, between 16:30 and 19:30. Rooms clean which was a plus."

"I and my wife had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpfull. The breakfast menu was only ok but the dinner was better. For the cost I do not ecpect the Savoy Hotel. Above all excellent value for money.

Official Rating - 3* - Bed & Breakfast / Half Board / Full Board Plus

The Atenea Hotel was totally refurbished in the year 2000. It is bright, friendly and modern in decoration. It is located 5 minutes from the centre of Benidorm and just a little further from the Old town. The golden sandy beach of Poniente is a 600m stroll away.

Accommodation

The rooms are located on 4 floors and are serviced by 2 lifts. There are 100 rooms and each consists of a private bathroom with a bath or shower, hairdryer in the room, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, satellite TV and a terrace or balcony.

Food & Beverage

Full Board Plus is served in the restaurant with three buffet meals a day and a special supper once a week. There is also a bar and lounge serving a variety of refreshments. Sangria, wine, beer, soft drinks and water are offered free during the meals.

Sports & Leisure

Swimming pool with childrens section and gardens is just across the street. Entertainment programmes are organized by the hotel.

Facilities & Services

Locked car park, laundry and babysitting for local charge.
