"Great hotel, very helpful staff, especially Pep on reception. We stayed half board and the food was very good, lots to choose from, always hot and constantly being re-filled. Both breakfast and dinner times very flexible if you fancied eating later. The hotel entertainment is very varied, kids disco and staff to entertain the kids, then local acts for the whole family from flamenco dancers to clowns! The only problem we had with the hotel was the pool area, it has lots of large trees surrounding it, so you get a lot of shade, you're better off going to the beach, which it less than 10 minutes walk. The majority of nightlife is quite a distance away though!"
Top Tip:
"The local beach is excellent, lovely and clean with a cafe bar set on the beach offering very reasonable drinks and snacks all day. Beach Club No. 12."Balmes Hotel check-in Date:

Only complete , the dining room was a bit cramped for space.

"Hotel staff were all pleasant, bar prices ok, rooms basic, shower didn't work and food was plentiful and hot, which was a nice change from cold food on previous visits to Costa Brava. Breakfast consisted of rashers of fat with an odd streak of bacon as is the norm, but otherwise the food was of a good quality.

"Not a bad hotel - rooms dated but clean and tidy . in quiet area ,pineda end of calella .walls can be a bit thin . foods ok . staff very friendly . bars nice - garden area lovely for a drink in the evening although can be shady during the day . pools fine . Would go back if the price was right ."
