"We chose
1.centrally situated location, for driving to various northern parts of Costa Brava
2.something that was inexepensive
and that is what we got. The Hotel is Spanish style and the plumbing is very basic.
The staff are good fun and helpful. We needed to change our room because of the noise of all the people that gather in the lovely church square, outside, and the toilet was not working.
We arrived needing a 'chill-out', the outside noise did not seem to lend itself to that. But the Hotel entertainment is more of a ballad type, than bopy disco. Strangely, by the 3rd day we had gotten into the swing of things, so although arriving stressed we certainly went home very much chilled."

"we had been going to Estartit for over 20 years and had always passed this hotel right in the town centre. We were really disappointed with the room, dingy, small, toilet was no bigger than a double shower cabinet size, old fittings, single glazed windows (our room overlooked the main square so it was extremely noisy) no aircon so we had to leave the window open - more noise! The door to the room could have been pushed open with a good shoulder. Continental breakfast was very poor compared to other hotels we have been in Spain, France, Poland. The pool was badly in need of repair and maintenance, the owner parked his car right beside the pool.
I am afraid that unless the hotel has a major facelift I won't be back"
