"my stay was only for a few days and i was not expecting too much from the hotel as it was very cheap (only £4 per night) but when i got there the room was very clean apart from a bit of muck on the shower head, the view was great from my balcony"
Top Tip:

"The Quintasol Apartments are next to the Chamaco Beach Lounge and can be accessed from the main road via an underground walkway.
The Apartments are in need of refurbishment. We had a cracked sink with a plug which let the water escape to the drain. The bathroom began to smell on the last day of our stay - it seemed to come from the drains. The towels have seen better days. In fact, only the bath towels were replaced 5 days into our 7 day stay and the hand towels were not changed at all. However, it was cheap accommodation, so I could forgive some of the problems - you only get what you pay for.
One plus feature is that the Apartment is right on the beach. Although it is next to the railway line, it didn't cause too much problem with noise."Top Tip:
"The place to eat with good home-made grub is "Legends" - you get a substantial portions for a very reasonable price.

the hotel has a five star location but really needs upgrade but this did not spoil holiday

"I knew from previous reviews that the accomodation was basic but it was exactly where I wanted to be and I was more than happy with what I got for my money. It is ideally situated to use a good beach and the excellent train service for trips up and down the coast between Barcelona and Blanes. Go with an open mind, be friendly with the staff and you will be happy.
A word of warning that the rooms with odd numbers are very near to some pine trees and mosquitos could be a problem.
Rooms 111, 112, 211 and 212 have a view over the beach and it is well worth asking for one of these.
The beach is very sharply sloping into the sea and care is essential with the very young, but, older children and young adults will love the swell."Top Tip:
"The Buddha restaurant next door offers services way beyond the norm and is best avoided unless you are single and broad minded.
It is only 5 minutes on the train and 15 minutes on the bus (bus included in the price) to Blanes centre and in the early evening this has a long promenade that is used on warm evenings by the locals to meet, eat and just generally socialise."Quintasol Apartments check-in Date:

"brilliant hotel for a 2*, will be staying there again, no faults with the room apart from the microwave did not work, take a travel kettle if you have one as the rooms don’t, we brought one for 20 Euros.
overall great hotel."Top Tip:
"if you fly to Barcelona airport make sure you book a morning flight as this will enable you to get the train from the airport, if you don’t and you get a late flight you will have no choice but to get a taxi (or sleep at the airport. joke.) which cost 123 Euros = £100, this was the mistake we made, the train only cost 7 Euros for both of us which would be 12 Euros return. or just fly to Gerona airport which is around 46 Euros."Quintasol Apartments check-in Date:
