  • "Lovely hotel a few minutes from the beach. Right opposite santa susanna train station so easy access to Barcelona and neighbouring resorts.Food im afraid to say is not the best you'll get. During our weeks stay we ate out 5 of the days ! Not ideal for British tourists , but if you can put up with arrogant italian and french then you'll be fine here."

  • Top Tip:

    "Ideal base for visiting other resorts along the costa brava by train or by boat.
    Fly into Girona rather than Barcelona. The transfer time is much shorter, ryanair do a daily service from many UK airports."

  • "Very clean and stylish hotel next to the station, yet at the quieter end of the sea front. Very family-orientated with organised activities for children and adults (darts, boules, etc). Buffet offers huge choice but quality a bit hit and miss. However drinks and wine (all Spanish) surprisingly inexpensive and very good. Superb pool making nearby beach redundant. Only gripe, pool towels not provided so we had to buy some."

    "Nice little supermarket nearby. Walk along the promenade past the funfair. Supermarket on the left has lowest price for towels plus all other bits & Bob.s"

  • "Nice location and good pool.
    Rooms fairly basic with limited storage and no fridge.
    Food is average but not enough choice of dishes.
    Wi-Fi does not work reliably.
    Entertainment generally poor.
    Overall a fairly average 3*."

  • "the hotel was very clean and tidy. reception staff were unhelpful to a family member who was looking for us prior to our arrival at the hotel. the hot breakfast was not always hot, although there was plenty on offer at the breakfast buffet"

    "lots of eating places nearby, the druken duck in malgrat was very nice and the toilets were spotless which has not been my experience on previous visits to the costa brava."

Hotel Details - Mercury Hotel

The Mercury Hotel is located in the tourist centre of Santa Susanna, only 100 metres away from the beach. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and shopping facilities in the surrounding area and the public transport network is easily reached on foot. The town sits between the ocean and a steep ridge of beautiful wooded hills. The beach at Santa Susanna has a range of activities including windsurfing, a water ski school and even canoes, the beach also has its own lifeguards.
