"The staff at the hotel were both polite and efficient. The bedrooms and public rooms were kept very clean. There was a very wide choice of food for both breakfast and dinner. Although both were buffet style the staff were very efficient at replenishing food when necessary."

"We went to the Hotel Delfin in mid June 2008. We booked the hotel with Travel Republic, the flights with Ryanair & The transfers with Resorthoppa. Everything went very smoothly.
On arrival in Tossa the coach dropped us off about 100yds from the hotel, as the street on which the Delphin is situated is too narrow for large vehicles. Once in the hotel the man on the reception desk was extremely pleasant & helpful, he checked us in quickly and efficiently. We were delighted with the very high standard of cleanliness in the room & also the rest of the hotel.
Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking the street, with a large balcony which got the sun all afternoon. The room had 2 threequarter sized beds pushed together. There was ample storage space for our clothes, it had a mini bar/fridge and also a TV with DVD player, the only English channel on the TV was CNN, but as we don't go on holiday to watch TV, it was no problem. The bathroom was one of the best that I have ever encountered in any hotel room, there was even a retractable clothes line over the bath, so that you could dry your beach towels etc.
We were on a bed & breakfast basis, and although the food was mainly aimed at mainland European guests there was toast, eggs & bacon available if you wanted an English type breakfast.
The hotel does not have a swimming pool, but there is a rooftop solarium & jacuzzi. There is also a very nice bar on the ground floor with very friendly staff.
The Delfin is very well situated, it is a 5 minute level stroll to the beach, with plenty of good restaurants & bars in the vicinity. When we first arrived, we were a little concerned that there may have been some night time noise, as the street on which the hotel is, was quite busy, but we needn't have worried, once the shops had closed for the evening, the street got quieter and we were not disturbed at all through the night.
To summarise, The Delfin is an excellent 4 star hotel (We have stayed in 5 star places that were much worse). It is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly & efficient, the rooms are of a good size, well equipped and comfortable. We will definitely be returning, and would not hesitate in recommending the hotel."
