"The only wrong thing I can say about this hotel is that the pool is 2mtrs deep and is not suitable for young children. The hotel is very nice and the staff are excellent, very polite and helpful. It is situated opposite the Marina and has plenty of bars, restaurants etc in the surrounding areas as well as the Marina. The food was very good although being buffet style it was not always hot."

"On arrival at the hotel, we were given two rooms, one room for 2 adults and the other for 2 adults and one child. Unfortuantely the room for 3 was not made up and the air conditioning in that room was not working. After some debate with the night reception (we arrived 11.30pm), another room was finally allocated, and a third bed was put in the room. This was not a good start to the holiday as we had a 6 year old with us who was tired and just wanted to go to bed. Other than the intiial problem, the hotel met all our other requirements. The breakfast was good and served up to 10.30 and the pool area was very nice. Prices for food and drink round the pool was very reasonable. We would stay at this hotel again if we visited Benalmadena again."
Top Tip:
"Le Barca restaurant on the sea front was very nice, although did not look a 'posh' restaurant, the food was excellent and the service very good. El Greco in the harbour was very good Greek food."Alay Hotel check-in Date:

"Hotel was in a great location right near to the marina. Dining room very nice and excellent choice for breakfast. Room was a little disappointing as no fridge and in need of upgrade, looked tired but very clean. Only a small swimming pool and no children's pool. Great for adults as not many children staying at the hotel."

"This was not our original choice as you changed the accommodation 5 days prior to departure so we were a little apprehensive as the rating on Trip Adviser for the Hotel Alay didn't seem as good as our first choice hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean and in a very good location. The breakfast meal was good although the evening meal was basic and we decided to eat out every night which was not a problem as there was a good variety of quality restaurants within walking distance."
