"El Capistrano is a village of spanish design, which is situated at the foot of the mountains on the perimeter of Nerja town. We were staying near the top 'edge' of the village, which gave us fantastic views over the town and out to sea, and was free of the hustle and bussel of traffic etc. The property was of the normal standard for Spain, being spacious and tidy. It took about 35 minutes walk into town, but ten minutes walk away there was an hourly bus service available into town which only cost 1 euro, and a taxi was 7 euro.
I would definately stay in this area again, but not as far up the hill."Top Tip:
"As stated above we were out of town, but once in town we were spoiled by the number of resaurants of all nationalities - we had different each night, theres even a chippy for those who don't want to forget the uk when on holiday.
For beach lovers there is one long beach rated blue flag and several coves, which are all very nice."CAPISTRANO Apartments check-in Date:

"nice apartment but too far from beach and town centre,car needed for any activity and shopping."

"Capistrano Apartments are a bit out of the centre of Nerja, about 20min walk,the same to the beaches and uphill on the way back! Although there is a bus service it is very limited, the last bus out of town being around 8pm.This means if you don't fancy the walk it costs about 7 euro in a taxi.The actual apartment we had was obviously some ones holiday home as there were some of the cupboards padlocked shut but it had all the facilities including washing machine and gas barby and was well furnished,the only downside was the apartment was only cleaned and towels and sheets replaced once in the two weeks although they left extra towels and sheets the one time they did clean but strangely they did not empty the bins either. not really acceptable. If we were to return to Nerja an apartment closer to the town and beaches would be the preferance but all in all we had a great holiday."

"The accommodation was lovely. However, it was at the top of a very steep hill which meant it was really only accessible by either busy or taxi to and from the town or beach.
The only criticism would be that we were not informed, when booking the holiday, that the check in time for the apartment was 17:00. If we had known this we would have booked a much later flight. We arrived at the resort around 11:00 having got the 05:40 flight from Gatwick. We were very tired and wanted to take a siesta, instead we had to kill time in restaurants or bars until we could finally get into our accommodation. In effect this meant we lost a whole day of our holiday. Better communication on your part could have saved us a lot of hassle. Normally I book holidays direct with the owner of the apartment and this sort of thing is avoided. It wouldn't encourage me to book with you again.
Your communication re checkin in times really needs to be better. It really spoiled the start of our holiday."Top Tip:
