"we had booked a 3 star hotel but found out it was only a 2 star when we arrived.
no porters to help with the cases and the directions to the appartments was none existant.
The staff were not very helpfull.
The entertainment was not up to standard. The shows were cancelled and relpaced by the animation team which were awfull.
The food was not good plus people were using a microwave to warm the food up as it was look warm. The tables were not cleared or cleaned when people had finished their meal."Top Tip:
"Very good chinese resturant called the Great Wall.

"We were a party of 2 families with young children - stayed in superior bungalows. Well worth it! Only downside was phone did not work in one of the bungalows and they did not get around to fixing it. Location great, mini kids club for under 8s and maxi kids club for over 8s. Food good but beware of bones found in fish dishes. Evening entertainment poor at hotel but were able to enjoy the evening entertainement at sister Barcelo spa hotel next door. Having checked out other hotels in the area including sheraton would def come again to Barcelo as its more family friendly."

"The hotel we booked to stay in was excellent, very clean and comfortable. Probably the best accommodation we have experienced on the last few years. It was very clean and the maid service was spot on. Would definately stay here again."
Top Tip:
"From our apartment the beach was less than 2 min walk, the beach was very clean and sandy. It was a quiet time when we went here but even in August the beach would be big enough to accommodate a lot of people without feeling on top of each other. If you walk approx 15 mins along beach the sand gets softer and we discovered some of the greatest beaches we have seen in Europe. Apartment Details - Barcelo Club El Castillo Apartments
The Barcelo Club El Castillo is on the island of Fuerteventura right on Caleta de Fuste beach. An exquisite area famous for its sand dunes, excellent beaches and wind surfing. It's a hotel providing bungalows all including all the elements of comfort guaranteeing the guests a satisfying experience. The hotel itself also offers a wide variety of entertainment and comfort. The facilities provided include 4 swimming pool areas, ideal for adults and children and 3 restaurants. The complex is located just 7 km from the Fuerteventura airport and 12 km from the islands capital.
