"Noise with neighbours can be a problem in the earley hours.Reception not that helpful.
Had a safety aspect 11.p.m 3rd floor bedroom full of smoke Evacuated hotel rooms by own decision, no alarms or staff to help or inform, turned out minor but could have been serious"

"No complaints! Been to this hotel 4 times now, like it very much, like its location, polite/helpful staff, good food, rooms were quite basic but that suits us. Situated next to the beach, plenty of shops on the doorstep. 10 minute walk to the watersplash. Chose Travel Republic to book with as they offered the best prices/discounts compared to others."

"My parents had stayed at the Algarb many times so this year my sister and I decided to surprise them as they are now in wheelchairs in their 80's and unable to get around. Their feedback was that the hotel had deteriorated, the entertainment was abominable it didn't start until 10.30ish when they were ready for bed. There was less choice of food in the restaurant. I asked for a pork chop from the grill and the lady serving used the same tongs to serve the cooked chop that she had used to turn a raw pork chop over with. The young girls behind the bar knew we had invalids in our party but refused to serve us more than 2 drinks at a time and were very surly, although had smiles on their faces when serving the young men!!! The older Spanish bar staff were very nice and helpfull. What should have been a last holiday with fond memories for my elderly parents was spoilt."

"The Hotel, staff and food was very good however, there was an awful lot of younger groups of people of all nationalties which were extremly noisey, coming back to their rooms very early in the mornings. There was also building works going on which we were unaware of when we booked the holiday."
