"Well appointed hotel in a good location, a 5 mins taxi ride from the port in Ibiza town. Excellent pool area and gardens. Good entertainment in the evenings, very relaxing (accoustic guitar). Fantastic breakfast."

"The Playa Real Hotel was quite attractive with views over the bay and a nice pool area with the restaurant adjacent. The food was very good and plentiful. The hotel is conveniently situated in the bay of Talamanca which is very close to Ibiza town. The sea was not an option for swimming due to a recent oil clear up which was something that was disappointing for us and we had to go to another beach if we wanted to swim in the sea.

There was a bus stop right outside the hotel and the public transport was good. We travelled by public bus to Ibiza town and other beaches and resorts from our hotel. We also caught the ferry which is reached by a fifteen minute walk from the hotel. (you can walk to Ibiza and it takes about 30 - 40 minutes (not twenty as it says in the brochure unless you are running!).
Another disappointment was that some of the features described when we booked were not available when we got there. The facilities described for children were very important to us but when we got there we discovered that the climbing wall had obviously been out of use for some time, the ping pong equipment had seen much better days, the playstation was not working and we the kid's club only seemed to cater for very young children. Worth remembering is that towels were not provided for around the pool so we had to buy some.
The room we were allocated overlooked the fuel tanks (which is something you dread happening!). Fortunately they were able to find us another room which was much better situated. The room was clean and comfortable with a small tv. and airconditioning that worked fairly well.
Inspite of all this, I would recommend this hotel if you are aware of the shortcomings beforehand and are looking for somewhere close to the town and airport with a pleasant pool area and good food."

"Everything about the Hotel was absolutely 1st class, the staff were friendly and helpful, the accomodation superb (we had to move rooms, through no fault of the hotel) so were lucky enough to have 2 superb rooms rather than just one!
The food was very good, I am a vegetarian and my partner and daughter fairly "fussy eaters", but we each always found plenty of options that would suit out tastes. The kids club and the staff who ran it were amazing and made the holiday so memorable for our little girl, and of course the kids disco became a nightly ritual! I want to recommend this as one of the best places we've ever been, but don't want to miss out on going next year..."

"I think the resort generally is fairly quiet and some distance to walk into Ibiza Town. I seem to recall somewhere at the time of booking that the hotel was a pleasant walk along the beach path into Ibiza Town. I would not recommend that particluar walk at night, except perhaps in high summer, as the path along the beach was not very well lit.
I should add that I think my visit to the resort was too early in the year as when we arrived at the hotel there were probably no more than 20 or 30 guests staying and so there was little atmosphere."
