"We stayed at the Bellamar the week before it closed for the season, so it was quite empty. The standard of service was absolutely brilliant, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The buffet was very good, especially the salads and fresh cooked meats. The vegetables were generally overcooked so best avoided. Didn't see any other hotel on the island that we would have preferred. Free parking too."

"the hotel in the brochure looks like it is on its own, it isnt there are several hotels very close to it. the hotel itself we couldnt fault, it was clean inviting and the staff were very nice, food also very good. it wasnt very far from the beach just across the road, aswell as the promanade which took you into san antonio very nice walk. we checked out several hotels along the way and still found the bellamar to be the best. the shop right by the hotel sells bakinis sandals etc if you want anything to last longer than a week dont buy from here, as everything we bought either had a fault or broke, and the lady was lovely while you bought but very rude when tried to take back something faulty. overall had a great holiday and would def recommend the hotel and place, not the time of year we went as most hotels were closing down and there wasnt much entertainment. travelled 8/10/2008 for a week."

"hotel excellent .on arriving the first thing we noticed was the cleanliness. food was to a high standed and the staff very polite. all in all a great hotel in a excellent position for san antonia. would definitely use this hotel again.the only fault we could find was the pool was freezing and to cold to use but apart from this a great hotel."

"Staff were friendly hotel was clean and comfortable, nice pool outside but not heated. close to beach. Main town about a good 10 mins walk away. some bars nearby. Hotel food was ok."

"For couples, over 25's and anybody wanting a hotel that is close to all facilities but away from the chaos and noise of San Antonio town in the evenings, then the Bellamar is ideally situated.
I find it very hard to fault the hotel itself. Its probably the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. The staff are all polite and friendly without being obtrusive, and all very professional.
The food was excellent with a great choice in the evenings and the bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. The lobby and lounge decor and furnishings are stylish and relaxing, and the rooms (judging by our own) are modern and well fitted out.
The pool is quite small and the sunbeds are all a bit crammed in to the patio area around it, so I imagine in high season it may be a bit claustrophobic, but with the beach literally a stones throw away we didn't use the pool area anyway.
If I have to give any negatives then i'd say dont go to the hotel for a spa holiday (its advertised as a spa hotel) as the indoor pool is so small you can only get two people swimming in there at the same time, the gym is poorly equipped and the jacuzzi didn't work during our stay. I feel guilty even putting in this small criticism though, as overall the hotel was perfect for the relaxing break we were looking for. 10 out of 10 for us (a couple in their mid 40's)."
