"Really liked the hotel, was clean and tidy. Food was great! Only trouble was the elevators kept breaking which was a bit annoying as we were on the 6th floor."

"Sol Calas De Mallorca are 3 hotels in one, The Mastines, The Chichuahas and The Balmoral. The Balmoral is the most basic of the three, set back and lower so no sea views as such. The other two are high rise, on the edge of the cliff with good sea, garden or pool views. Entertainment (all be it a little poor) is at a different hotel each night, you can use the facilities at each, although you eat in your own hotel. We were on the 11th floor of the Mastines, and the view was stunning - sea view, pool view and coastal cliffs! Hotel rooms basic but very clean, small rooms, bit dated, but nice large bathroom. Hotel & bar staff very friendly. The food was amazing for the price paid, loads of hot and cold choices every meal time. Large salad bar, soup, vegetarian options, 2 or 3 meat options, 2 or 3 fish options, paella, potatoes, chips, pasta, fresh bread, deserts and large selection of fruit - definitely something for the fusiest of eaters. In restaurant Red, White & Rose wine on tap along with Beer, water and selection of soft drinks. Three nice size outdoor pools plus an indoor pool available. Gardens well kept with plenty of sunbeds and shady areas. Lovely cliff walks to small pretty beaches, boat trips available from beach heading towards Hotel Americas. Short walk to a commerical centre with choice of bars and restaurants, crazy golf and souvenir shops. Karaoke at a couple of bars but didn't notice any nightclubs in the area, so nightime entertainment in the area quite low key. Local bus stop right outside the hotel to get further a field although we didn't use them having hired a car. Overall Opinion: Excellent Value For Money!"

"did not like the idea of drinking hot drinks out off plastic cups poor entertanment at night food good rooms clean hotel very dated"

"The hotel is maybe a little dated but the rooms are clean and well maintained, food was surprisingly good, especially bearing in mind what we paid,cooked fresh in front of you and generally good quality even had British sausage and HP sauce for breakfast!

Not much to do in the resort, but a couple of karaoke/entertainment bars was enough for a week but probably would get boring for a longer stay."
