"very nice hotel complex. good service, only reception staff moody as hell. amazing beach (take care - beds for 8,50 a day for two) . it is in the middle of nowhere though. Not for someone looking for a nightlife or walk between cafes and boats in marina.
good for a summer switch off, or early off season. was quite when we went."Top Tip:

"Excellent hotel + facilities. Clean - immaculate - well presented, staff exceptional, reception people prompt & efficient as was bellboy, maintenance guys (had a clever 2 year old who cracked the in room safe!!). Pools clean well looked after, rooms comfortable - booked a suite & possibly the lounge area could have been made larger, only complaint was that tv in lounge and bedroom had BBC world, Sky news and Natl geographic + USA Fox news, could do with BBC's 1&2!! Hotel directly onto excellent playa de muro beach - beach beds payable locally 2 sunloungers = €7. Hotel beach towels provided - refundable deposit. Late check out arranged €40 extra till 6-7pm. Restaurant (b/fast & dinner) exceptional - waiters very welcoming, food choice is amazing, show cooking every night, you can have 4 courses easily, went HB good halfway option, FI looks ok but there are large b/fasts and equally large dinners so to eat during the day seems OTT. Car needed, hotel about 4km o/s Alcudia port. If you are not a driver id recommend the iberostar playa de muro - further in town can walk to port - directly on beach. Oh, entertainment everynight - excellent standard catering for all europeans - GB, Ger, Fra, Rus, Ita etc... well done the entertainment staff. Kids club, adult fitness loads to do... go and enjoy it..we will return next year without doubt. (family 2 adults 1 child)"
Top Tip:
"hire a car from Palma. Go half board. schedule an evening flight home and pay the €40 for late checkout. Make friends with the other people at the hotel - germans especially friendly and warm/welcoming..really makes a change! The Iberostar Albufera is a wonderful holiday destination in Mallorca, holding a prime position with direct access to the kilometre long sandy beach, 8 km from the port of Alcudia, 3 km from Ca n Picafort and approximately 65 km from the airport. It is ideal for a restful and relaxing vacation as it has a variety of facilities and services to provide its guests utmost comfort and convenience with a touch of entertainment. Among the facilities are a bar, a restaurant, a discotheque, a childrens pool and many more. The Iberostar Albufera is a marvellous getaway choice that will surely leave a lasting impression.
