"We had rather a shock when we found the hotel - it looked terrible, the walls had been rendered, some balconies were covered in plastic, we did wonder what we had let ourselves in for. But the inside was lovely and clean, very quiet and our room was well furnished. From the balcony we had a great view of the natural sea pools, which was literally 2mins away. The hotel pool was very cold but the area was clean with plenty of sunbeds. We found the painter busy at work on the wall at the back of hotel - when it is finished it will look really good. We were glad we only did B & B as the breakfast was rubbish so would hate to think what the main meal was like. The receptionist was afficient but you will need to speak either Spanish or German, their English was very limited."

"The Apartment Hotel was being refurbished but clearly with a view to improving quality and expanding (the rooms in use are in the refurbished part) and caused us little problem - the only minor issue was the limited space for breakfast at the moment. Pleasant, friendly & helpful staff. The Hotel is located in one of the better squares in La Laguna and offers easy access to the history of the old town or the restaurants in the new town - and the metro tram - at 30 mins into Santa Cruz for less than €3 return you don't even think about taking the car. Parking is a problem in many towns including La Laguna but there is considerable commuter traffic to the public car park ajacent to the Hotal creating adequate free parking at the end of siesta or working day. All in all an excellent break - complete with a local Fiesta on the Sunday in our case."
