  • "After arriving to a very grumpy man on reception, who did not even acknowledge our arrival, we had to wait for our room to be ready, when we did get our key we were very disappointed at what we saw, a very shabby room which had no air conditioning, the only life saver was the brilliant views of the pool and seaview!, we had to ask for kettle with no on/off switch which plugged straight into the wall which we thought very dangerous! After a very sticky nights sleep was awoken by noise around the pool at 7am, when investigated the staff were cleaning pool area,(in the dark) this continued throughout the holiday every morning at 7am. Then came Monday morning. wait for it ...building work in room 3 doors away for the next 13 days!!!! Also repairwork on fountain in lift area. When we complained about the noise the grumpy man said they had no control over this as it was a private apartment they were working on. No pool bar / facilities available , although vending machine by pool area with extortionate prices. What a shame, this could have been a really lovely holiday if only they would spend some money on upgrading the apartments and remembering that people are on holiday and would like some peace and quiet. and perhaps an HOLA on arrival instead of being ignored !!!!! We stayed in the RIU next door in June and deeply regretted we did not dig deep into our pockets and stayed there again !!"

  • "Apartment starting to get tired and due for refurbishment which is starting to take place.
    Clean tidy excellent location with lovely pools sea views and located right on the seafront.
    Lovely evening walks into the heart of the action if necessary.
    Second stay enjoyed it will go back"

    "Car hire from airport cost effective saved 2x£30 taxis and available for sightseeing
    Able to get food from cheaper supermarkets avoiding heat of midday carrying shopping up and down hill"

  • "The apartment itself was a little "tired" although comfortable and clean but the maid service was a bit sporadic. The building, pool and surrounding areas were lovely and well maintained. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all would stay here again as the location was perfect for a quiet week away, with plenty of nice bars and restaurants at various distances along the walkway."

The Altamira Apartments enjoy a stunning location on the ocean front just 50m away from the prestigious Playa Del Duque beach in Costa Adeje. Set in lush tropical gardens the complex is the ideal place to relax and take in the warm canarian sun. Nearby there are a number of bars and restaurants, and the bus stop is just 100m away for those who want to explore further afield. Ideal for couples and families.

Accommodation

The apartments and studios are distributed on six floors and are serviced by three lifts. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and are equipped with the following amenities: - kitchenette, private bathroom with shower, telephone, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe (payable locally) and a balcony or terrace. Many of the apartments have wonderful sea views across the Atlantic to the island of La Gomera.

Food & Beverage

If cooking on holiday is not your thing there is a pleasant restaurant serving a wide range of meals in the hotel (under separate management), as well as a good selection of bars and eateries nearby.

Sports & Leisure

The complex has an excellent lagoon style swimming pool with children’s section. Relaxing on the ample sun terraces with sun beds and parasols is the order of the day, while the more energetic may want to try their hand at table tennis or a game of pool (both payable locally). Car hire and a range of exciting excursions are available from the medhotels representative.
