"The Marmaris Resort is a 5-star hotel in terms of facilities (3 swimming pools for a start) but the service lets it down bit - although it was still good value in peak season. The buffet was pretty good although i could see it not suiting very British tastes - very mediterranean and not particularly luxurious but we found it quite good and plentiful though the deserts varied little. The bar staff varied in their ability to serve drinks and give good customer service. For a place to lounge by the pool or on the beach, relax or for the children it's good. The bus service to Marmaris was a little frustrating, it needs a minimum of 10 people to run and they waylay you for a 15 minute stop at a jewellery shop. It is 10 miles to Marmaris so you need to take the bus (or a dolmuz miniibus). The maid service could be a little hit and miss though a modest tip to the maid seemed to do the trick. There was fairly good, free wireless internet in the reception area and lobby bars (and an internet cafe somewhere)."
