The hotel is located opposite Brighton Preston park station on the main A23 road that runs into Brighton, less than a 10 minute drive from the centre. Local transport from the bus stop just outside the hotel serves direct routes to Brighton pier and surroundings. Preston park is a 5 minute walk away. All rooms are small to medium in size, tastefully decorated and well maintained. All units en suite with a choice of smoking or non smoking bedrooms. Amenities include cable TV, radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and trouser press. The hotel is traditional in design. "A rather tired looking hotel that needs some of its profits re-invested in it. Staff were all younger people, but pleasant enough, needed a manager at front of house to meet, greet and ensure things are being kept tidy. The room we were allocated was OK, but the matress was well past its sell by date. We did not eat there as it seemed rather expensive for what it was. The bar closed at 11.00pm, unless you gave them a credit card number, as cash was'nt allowed after this time, not come across this before anywhere in the world. I would give it 5 out of 10, needs money spending on it, have stayed in better for the money."
