"Large beautiful hotel with extensive surroundings and linked to other equally stunning hotels. The grounds were immaculate, full of colourful trees and shrubs which were tended to tirelessly. The staff bent over backwards to be friendly and helpful and to attend to our every need. It was hot and sunny and we could languish in a huge pool which overlooked a beautiful sea horizon where people were snorkelling, parasending and generally having a lot of fun."

"The hotel in itself is gorgeous, the beach, pools are really nice.
However, the meals are always the same (all inclusive buffet) and are far from a 5* quality.

"we had a very relaxing holiday our room was fantastic frontline top floor full sea view the staff we meet were always happy to see you the guys working on the beach and bar staff were excellet hotel public areas spotless pools cleaned each night hotel food could have a bit more verity but was always cooked correctly. my wife suffers from coeliac decease and the head waiter went out of his way to help her with her food over all we had no probems with this hotel .its location is outstanding but there was alot of british clients complaining about the food i think the hotel owners should stop and question the guests while they are present not give them a questioner form at the end of there holiday .my wife and i would like to thank all at travel republic for a lovely holiday. i will without question be booking our next land based holiday with yourselfs many thanks"

"Just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at Continental Garden Reef Resort. The views from the hotel to the sea are absolutely beautiful and the actual hotel itself is quite palatial compared to what we are used to in England! Snorkelling in the Red Sea off the hotel jetty was absolutely brilliant.
We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel at all. Our cleaner was really helpful and kept leaving these wonderful shapes made out of towels with petals and leaves for us. A really lovely extra touch we thought!
Our biggest gripe would be the food - we are not fussy eaters and fundamentaley there was nothing wrong with the food, but it was incredibly boring! There is not much choice available (especially compared to the 4* we stayed in in Gran Canaria last year) and unless you are a real lover of rice and beef, you are quite likely to be disappointed!
We would really recommend this hotel to those of you who want to get away from it all but you do have to use a taxi if you want to go to Na'ama Bay. We wanted a week of lounging by the pool and it is perfect for that but if you want action, book somewhere else!
The evening entertainment isn't up to much, although the setting - an outdoor ampitheatre - is fantastic.
We were very glad not to have had to bring the children as they had gone on holiday with their nan. Apart from it being incredibly hot (on average it was about 40 degrees all week) there was not much going on for kids at the hotel.
The hotel mainly hostsItalian and Russian guests but - despite several negative comments on other reviews on here - we had no problem with them and there is a real multicultural feel to the clientele.
We would go back to the Red Sea coast again but would not stay at the same hotel again predominantly because of the food although we did speak to people from other hotels and they pretty much said the same thing."

"I think it is a huge exaggeration to describe this hotel as 4* or even 5* in some brochures. We had to change rooms once and had to keep chasing and chasing to get the right number of bed and bed linen. The main drawback is the food- all of the restaurants have exactly the same food and there is no variety. The drinks are very small and they are very mean about providing water. Would not go back here"

"This hotel was lovely and had a nice relaxing atmosphere. the staff were only too pleased to help you with anything. the surroundings were nice and the swimming pool/beach facilities were very nice. The only thing to fault was some of the choices of food on offer at the all inclusive restraunts, although the room service food was nice at a small price."

"Hotel was amazing, excellent service. Good security. But our all inclusive package meant we only had access to one restaurant as opposed to the six that was advertised. This is terribly misleading, you must make this MUCH CLEARER. Also food is not that great. But everything else was superb."

"Although the hotel is well situated and the staff very friendly , the all inclusive part of the hotel is poor compared to hotels stayed at previously.

"The hotel is locoated very well, is extemely clean and the staff are all helpful. This was my third visit to the continental, this time we went all inclusive and this is the weakest element. Beer is served into miniscule plastic cups, often warm and from the bottle, and the local spirits would probably do you some harm in large quantities.

The standard of food has declined, but eating out in Naama Bay is relatively inexpensive, other than the Buddha Bar.

Will my familiy and I do back to Sharm - YES, will we stay at the Continental again - NO.

Overall our holiday was excellent, but the food / drink element were the weakest."
