"Excellent hotel, friendly, nice food and service. Completely understated in the promotional information is how beautiful the location (opporsite the gardens) and stunning the roof top terrace is. It also didnt mention the lovely room had 2 balconies! A very pleasant surprise. Unfortunately the pool had no water in which was a shame!"
Top Tip:
"An excellent restaurant near to the hotel was the Leopard. Under new management and amazing food and service. So friendly. A much cheeper feed than in the medina aswell. info: Le Guepard, residence Al Mourad, Avenue Mohammed V, Gueliz, Marrakech."

"Most of the staff were very friendly. The room was a bit basic, but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately it isn't very close to Jma El Fnaa (the centre, about 20min walk away), but for the price you can't complain."
Top Tip:
"Don't let the taxis charge too much when you get off the plane (they are expecting you not to know how much things cost). It should cost no more than 60DH during the day to get to the hotel."

"The hotel is in a very good location short walk (about 10-15) minutes to the old town. The train and bus station are also very close (about 5minutes).

The hotel staff, especially the reception do not speak very much english and so it was difficult to get anything organised through the hotel.

The breakfast was very dissappointing - its all cakes and bread, very french style and almost everything sweet. Which can be exiting for the first couple of days but we stayed 10nights and could not wait to get some proper food. The very funny parrot they keep there will help you to take your mind off of this. He will chat to you in loads of different languages.

There is a small swimming pool on the roof with about 5 sun loungers all together, which is not a lot but let's face it Marrakech is not about sunbathing, but it was nice to be able to cool down.

The food in the restaurant downstairs was tasty, although a little bit repetative and we were happy that we only booked bed and breakfast as this gave us an option of going out for dinner.

Television in the hotel has a chanel with english films on all the time. There is no fridge in the room. The rooms are cleaned every day - we must have had the best room with two balconies and fantastic garden view.

When you book a taxi to the airport through your hotel make sure you agree the price first as we would have got badly ripped off if we werent familier with the local prices."
Top Tip:
"If you turn left outside your hotel and then straight into the little alleyway where the hairdresser is, further back there is a travel agent offering tours - we took an all day tour to the Atlas mountains, it was worth the money. Do not pay in euros or sterling! The tour guide does not speak english but if you are lucky you may meet some english speakers on your tour.

Don't bother going to the tourist information, you will be better off finding thing on your own.

When you are in Marrakech make sure you go to see the Majorrelle Gardens and have lunch in it's little garden. They were slowly spraying water from the roof on us which was amazing as it was about 45 degrees when we were there. It's a bit of a walk but take a taxi and you will be pleasantly surprised."

"Fantastic value for money. Staff were very helpful. Room was fairly basic but the roof terrace and swimming pool made up for it. Great place to sleep at night and explore the city the in the morning. Location is also really good as your walking distance to all the attraction is 20min max."
Top Tip:
"There is a really nice park opposite the hotel, A really lively square in the evenings just 2min down the road"

"The staff at the hotel were all very helpful & friendly. Very clean, good breakfast, rooms regularly cleaned."
Top Tip:
"The bottled water to buy is quite expensive in the hotel, but there is a small shop on the corner where you can buy three for the same price."

"Be wary of being overcharged by market stalls/ cabs, always haggle & at least cut prices by half"
