  • L from Edgeware reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "We have stayed at the Kenzi Farah 5 times now and we have found it more than satisfactory. The position is perfect for us.
There are only a couple of things that we would like improved upon. The restaurants are poor for this calibre hotel. Breakfast is good and has improved since we first went there. The bedrooms and bathrooms could do with updating, but none of this stops us going back again and again."

  • Top Tip:

"Le Comptoir Restaurant. Within walking distance of the hotel. Superb food and great entertainment. Belly dances are excellent. Well worth a visit. Ask for a table on the first floor and don't get there before 9.00 pm"

  • Rebecca from Washington reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "We had a wonderful holiday at the Kenzi Farah Marrakech, although the rooms themselves were a little sparse (although we felt this was expected) the communal areas of the hotel were of a high standard and very welcoming. The hotel itself was relatively expensive and food wasn't the best, but it's location was great and restaurants and sites were all within easy walking distance.
The hotel staff were always very polite and service was great.
Upon arrival the ClubMed rep was quick to make contact and arrange a fantastic day trip into the High Atlas and Mid Atlas mountains. The guide spoke excellent english and we both felt the day was very much worth the trip.
All in all we had a fabulous holiday, had no complaints and would highly recommend the area, hotel and travel republic for booking."

  • Top Tip:

"The first few nights we ate local specialities but after that we felt we needed a change and found a fantastic Italian called Le Chat Que Rit, (about 10 mins walk away). This restaurant was so good that we returned for dinner on our last night!
Also the Majorelle Gardens were well worth the visit."

  • DANIEL from ILFRACOMBE reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "I went to Morocco with my 10 year old son for two weeks. We mainly trekked around but stayed in this hotel as a mid holiday treat! I normally "rough it" a little so to me this hotel was pretty posh! I didnt eat there but the staff seemed very friendly and junior loved the pool. If your idea of a holiday is to lie around a pool with entertainment etc then this hotel would be good for you."

  • Top Tip:

"Quite a few restaurants within 15 minutes walk but quite a way from the main square....jemma el fna. Explore the city...it can be alot of fun!"

  • Top Tip:

"Too many to list. I hired a car but if you are going to be in Marrakesh only then no need for one. I only went for Morrocan food, too many resturants.
    Excellent break. Highly recommened."

  • Denver from DUNGANNON reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "As a World traveller, I found Marrakech quite a 'step back' in time. My duration of stay was 'about right' and was able to enjoy all the city had to offer, including a nice escape, out into the Ourika valley.
The hotel was well-located, relatively short walk to the 'epicentre' of the bustling main square. Hotel was 3 1/2 Star by my ratings and good value for what money I paid."

  • Top Tip:

"My top tip: Make sure you spend your last Morrocan Dirhams BEFORE passing passport control and entering the departure area. The airport shops do not accept their own currency! FurtherMore, there is no money exchange when this area is entered!
In summary, a nice short break experience was marrakech, perhaps a touch challenging at times. The downfall was my transit experiences at the airport. It appears 'behind schedule' as such. Also a seriously Long wait at passport control upon arrival.
Perhaps the introduction, of one requiring a visa, would greatly speed things up."

  • caroline from Fulham reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "The weather was glorious and that might have played a big part in the enjoyment of our stay. The hotel for the amount of money we paid was fabulous. I agree with other guests that the breakfast could be improved but the hotel had a wonderful swimming pool with marvellous gardens and it was perfect to be about a fifteen minute walk away from the Medina. We had adjoining rooms with our children who had two large double beds and we had one large double. The staff were exceptionally nice to us and we had no complaints. I agree it is not an English 5* but I was not paying 5* rates."

  • Top Tip:

"French restaurant called The Ville on the left hand side of the street opposite the hotel exceptionally good (quite expensive) Italian restaurant (can't remember name) - turn left out of hotel and walk to Extraplatt cafe (very good for lunch and breakfast) turn left before you cross over, and left again. Also we ate at street stalls - number 1 opposite belly dancing costume shop the best - others try to rip you off expecially 117"

  • Peta from Rushden reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "Marrakech is colourful, friendly and exciting. A day trip to the Atlas Mountains is a "must" and if you are fit enough, a 6 kilometer trek along the goat trails will be rewarded with good views and seeing how the Berber villagers live. Food good and not very spicy. Souks great fun! Taxis cheap and can be hired for the day at a very reasonable price. Money readily available through ATMs but take some Euros in small demoninations to tie you over with tipping until you can get local money."

  • Top Tip:

"For the first visit to the souk - don't buy anything! Just look at what is on offer. Go again a couple of days later when you will be familiar with the people and can haggle better. You get better deals deeper into the souk than those at the front."

  • Anthony from London reviewed the Kenzi Farah Hotel

  • "Breakfast is good if unadventurous (standard UK hotel stuff)
Spa & Health services are all extra & expensive. The sauna/indoor pool etc listed as hotels facilities are not really, they are only available by paying extra.
Walking into both French Quarter & medina is not too far - beware taxis will charge inflated prices going to & from posh hotels like this"

  • "The hotel was above average, clean, efficient with English speaking staff. The evening meal was based around a different theme each night and was excellent and plentiful. The garden is one of the best and largest hotel gardens in Marrakech where you can relax under towering palm trees."

  • Top Tip:

"Ignore the taxis and touts opposite the hotel and make your own way to the medina. It's about a 20 minute walk."

  • "The hoel is advertised as a 5 star hotel but I would rate it as a 3 star hotel.
The booking of excursions and changing of currency is rather informal as you do not get a receipt for you transactions. But having said that I did not have any trouble with the above.
The breakfast can get a bit kayotic if you go down for 9:30 - 10:00 am"
