  • Philip from Cirencester reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "ther breakfast is best avoided very poor quality

u need a taxi to go anywhere
lousy choise of satellite TV channels - only a few UK and US news programs really
room service reasonable but choice of menu was poor
    rooms clean and average size
overall OK but nt much atmosphere or personnal service
trial the spa - very expensive - in the basement and mediocre quality and zero atmosphere"

  • Anas from Birmingham reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "Just for the price it is an excellent choice. I booked it for £36 accomadating a twin bed for 2 adults. This rate is without breaki but as far as i was concerned its for the better as it gives you an opportunity to try out differnt places for a more original experience. The room are a good size and have room temp controls and a decent TV for those who cannot live without one. The swimming pool is very good and the lounge is impressive. The sauna and Massage is of very good quality and prices are very decent around £30 for a 60 minute session. Very clean work out room and Spa faicilites."

  • Top Tip:

"The best place to eat was a very special restaurant called Al-Fassia which is in an area called guleeez (excuse the spelling) This is a very high class venu and has some of the most amazing food. The menu is actually quite basic with only a selection of starters, mains and desserts. There is also a drinks menu. All this is topped with an army of female only staff, they are very welcoming and extremely active to make your stay one that you will not forget. You may want to book in advance as it very sought after, some of the many stars that visited are Samual Jackson and michael Schumacher. A meal for two with starters, drinks and dessert cost around £75."

  • David from LONDON reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "I keep going back to the Atlas Asni as it is one of the best value hotels in the area.

The decor is a little bit tired (especially the sofas in reception) but the bed linen is clean and comfortable and the matresses are clean and firm. All of the basics are in place with constant hot water and best of all it is a peaceful place to stay.

The hotel has internet access and the pool area and dining area are clean. The staff speak English but please speak slowly to them as it is one of 4 or 5 languages the staff have to speak. You can change sterling and euros at reception (Cassie) and you can also use the safe in your room."

  • Top Tip:

"Book half board if you can as the price is not much extra.

Go to La Grand Cafe del la Poste in Guilez for coffee, lunch or supper you will not be disappointed. Just tell the petit taxi driver and he will drop you right outside. Do not be fooled by the outside - it is beautiful and relaxed inside. Also find Cafe 16 (in green just after Mc Donalds and Zara). The food is beautiful and it is owned by a young French guy who speaks great English.

Finally, if you wanna go to the medina - then get someone to bring you to Cafe Arabe in the Moussaine area in the north of the medina. Staff are friendly, environment is relaxed and the food is European standard."

  • Louise from Merthyr Tydfil reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "Stay was very enjoyable. The hotel was nicely decorated and facilities were comfortable. However for a 4* hotel I do feel the rooms should have a fridge and although the breakfast was adequate plates and bowls of produce was not replenished which meant choice on times was limited."

  • "We were not impressed by the staff at the hotel, they were not particularly friendly. They were not helpful when one of our party had her mobile phone stolen. All in all I would not use this hotel or visit Morocco again. They say they want to increase tourism hugely in the next 5 years, they have a very long way to go."

  • p from manchester reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "Only 15 min trip to and from airport. Very friendly hotel staff. If you are bringing in food or drink from outside hide it as they will try and deny you entry if you bring it into hotel. 30 min walk to the Medina. or you can take taxi out the front of hotel. We were greeted by a hotel rep that had lots of activities to choose from or there are travel agents attached to hotel. Loads of restuarants nearby or in the Medina. Hotel has a lovely pool to turn yourself into leather goods at the side of."

  • Top Tip:

"Always second guess the locals when there is money involved as they will always start at a high price, even if it is a taxi! They only prices you can rely on being proper are fixed prices in shops or travel places. In the Souks try not to pay more than half the price they first offer you. Found the Souks to be less "in your face" during the day as there are less teenagers and children around trying for your money. Hop on/off bus picks you up almost infront of hotel. Great way to see Marrakech."

  • Azeema from Harrow reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "It's an excellent hotel - very big and extremely clean. Great pool and garden and live music by the pool in the evening. Lots of facilities and in the new part of town with great cafes and restaurants.....however it is a bit of a walk from the main attractions of Marrakech such as the Koutobia Mosque and Jemme-el-Fenna square. Park Menera isn't too far and the train station is also very close."

  • Top Tip:

"Food in the jemma-el-fenna square is excellent and really cheap!.....if you get a chance to make a day trip to Ourika valley or Ouzoud I would highly recommend it as they're both beautiful places - waterfalls, rivers, mountains - really nice scenery and people.

Travel republic have been great - I've booked all my hotels through them and didn't have a single problem - great hotels and value for money - would definitley use them again!"

  • Wasim from Birmingham reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "Atlas Asni was an avaerage Hotel, however was everything we would have expected in the price. It had all facilities in the hotel and you could book excursions onsite aswell. The buffet breakfast was standard but sufficient enough. The rooms were clean and spacey. They were also cleaned on a daily basis and the bathroom towels replaced daily which was very good. We didnt eat at any of the hotel restaurants so we cannot rate that. The pool area was very nice. There was alot of greenery near the pool area which again was something we liked. The pool area was better than the neighbouring Hotels actually so if you're interested in sun bathing only then this Hotel will do you fine.
Lastly the reception staff were very helpful, however you do have to be very patient as they do not understant english very well. When you do get across to them what you want, they are very helpful indeed.
It was a very good holiday, a nice country to visit and lots to do, just remember to do your research before you set off as you may be dissapointed if you miss out."

  • Top Tip:

"Jemaa El fna is excellent at night especially. Do remember to haggle though. A restaurant near the Jemaa el Fna called tangia is excellent were they have live entertainment every evening...belly dancers. Try the hammams from Zian which is just out of the square, its an experience alrite. Definitely go on the tour bus even though it is pricey but it gives you a fair indication of where everything is. Try the pool at le meridien, its beautiful."

  • Karen from Twickenham reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "I liked this hotel, it was of good standard, had everything you needed, the pool was lovely and appreciated in the hot afternoon sun to cool off after doing the tourist thing most of the morning. Took advice from a previous review to buy the 24 hour tour bus ticket which takes you all round the area, and in the afternoon pick up the blue route at no 1 stop for a different route. Try to avoid after 2 pm as it gets very hot. Rose wine served in hotel was very nice, my husband liked the red wine. Food was adequate, was surprised to see ham and pork chops! There was room for improvement, but there was adequate choice for all. Plenty of bars and tvs dotted around the hotel too. (For footy)"

  • Top Tip:

"Millenium restaurant served a nice pizza over the road. Bank and money exchange also opposite hotel. Pick up the bus outside the congress centre just to the left of the hotel. Buy ticket in reception and pay rest on bus. Buy your water and drinks outside the hotel, much cheaper."

  • Karen from Basildon reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "Had a great time, incredibly hot, but the air conditioning was a welcome relief! Pool area is great, surrounded by gardens, and we had no problems getting a sun bed. We like the fountains that came on at 4pm in the swimming pool. Staff were really friendly, and the breakfast was ok considering the amount of nationalities they have to cater for. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, close enough for the square/new town, but far enough away for piece and quiet."

  • Top Tip:

"Try the Actors Lounge... out of the hotel, turn left, then first left and walk past the taxi rank. Takes a couple of minutes. Not the nightclub, the lounge, for a good taste of a Moroccan bar. Busy, but great for people watching... wouldn't recommend taking children as it can be smoky. Belly dancer comes out around 2am."

  • Rafia Aziz from London reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "The variety of things to eat for breakfast was poor.
They state that they have a diversen menu, but, in all honesty the only thing that you can guarantee was lots of bread and scrambled eggs.
    Not very nice at all.

When we were checking out, they handed me a bill for 166dhms and stated that it was for laundry. I did not even use the laundry service!
It was only by constant questioning by myself that they finally agreed that they could have made a mistake.

On a positive note, the hotel pool was great fun for the kids and the rooms were cleaned to a good standard every day."

  • "For a 4* hotel the overall stay was basic, We requested a double room and was given twin
The air conditioning was very noiseSome of the drawn had missing handles
The patio door did not lock
The worse part we were above the club and each morning at 3.30pm through to 5pm people were leaving the night club and my husband and I would be woken up.
On one occasion I tried to use the hotel computer room, The staff were very unhelpful in fact rude!"

  • MALCOLM from LONDON reviewed the Atlas Asni Hotel

  • "We stayed bed & breakfast having read the reviews. The coffee shop is above average, but a lot more expensive than the coffee shop across the main road.
Recommend booking the room safe on arrival - abt £10 for a week. Public areas of hotel are very good, rooms OK with good maid service, daily change of towels, etc.
Housekeeping quite good - sorted out dodgy TV remote and partial blockage of bathroom sink waste."

  • Top Tip:

"We enjoyed a good meal at a fish restaurant - Puerto Banus - within walking distance. We hired a car for a few days pre-booked through Easycar, and toured Haute Atlas, Agadir, Essouira. Pay close attention to speed limits, road markings, and speak only in English to traffic cops, as if they stop you they will ask for cash fines - and may let you go if they see easier pickings !"

Food was fine nothing too special but adequate. Hotel spa was disappointing though. Good location nice distance from main attractions.
