"The La Jabega is a well run hotel, is of a above average standard,with a nice mix of people from all over Europe,good English spoken by all staff,we have been many times,and find it great,and will be going again,on a scale of 1to10,we give it 10."

"Best beach is across the road, best restaurant is 10 minutes walk away El Rio,or going a bit further Sizzlers,and enjoy the walk home.also some very good Chinese restaurants as well @ budget prices, or from the marina you can take to the sea on various cruises,or trips to Gibraltar and beyond for a great day out by coach."La Jabega Apartments check-in Date:

"I visit the Costa del Sol with a group of male golfers each year. For the past 4 years we have stayed at the Jabega. We generally share, two to a room. The Jabega is right on the seafront at Los Boliches just a short distance from Fuengirola. Rooms, which are well equipped have decent sized balconies; those overlooking the beach are a little bit more expensive but well worth the extra. It is a generally quiet area with many good restaurants and bars within a short walking distance and if you want more life you can walk up the road to Fuengirola. This is a great advantage for the older set. of course, since you don't get the nutcases or loud disco music keeping you awake all night. In the the hotel bar there is entertainment each night and again this finishes at around 12.30 which is fine.
The Jabega is good value for money, well positioned in a quiet area and very suitable for the more mature holidaymaker.
Room service is daily, with towels changed regularly."Top Tip:

"our stay at the la jabega was enjoyable, quiet and clean, new bathroom fitted, all though it was self caterin, facilities for cooking was not good, and the one sleepin room we had for 3 adults! was very basic and gave us no privacy!. cant fault the reception and restaurant for its cleanliness, nice polite staff and decor looked very nice. the apartment was in a good location , opposite the beach, near shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets, so everything to hand.but next year i would upgrade to a 4 star accomodation."

"The hotel is decribed as self catering
The room we were in, we had a small grill that had to be placed on the table to use(not big enough for a chicken) in the living area.
In the kitchen(only big enough to squeese one person in was the sink with 2 electric hobs,fridge..no work tops, the kettle had to be used also in the living area,the cups/plates were stored in the cuboard in the kitchen.
The knifes forks etc were stored in the living area.
the room its self..i'd give 6/10 not bad for the money
the self catering part.. i'd give only 1/10 as it was not all together no oven or mircowave..plus the oven/grill can be very dangerous with kids around.

10/10 aways pleased to help you.
cleaning of the room...
2/10 towels not replaced with clean ones, same with sheets, floor not sweep or mopped...we had to ask for these so we could do it ourselfs.

"stayed at this hotel before and will do again, great position for the beach which is great as hotel has no pool. rooms are older spanish style, but very clean maid in everyday, tv which get bbc 1 and eurosport great aircon fantastic for them hot aug nights this hotel is in the middle of los boliches and handy for bars , restaurants,pubs, takeaways, supermarkets, exchanges ,shops 10minutes walk to los boliches train station (only2.50 euros to airport )will be back soon"

"Well when we first arrived in the room allocated there was standing water from the fridge and ants crawling along the skirting, not a good start!! We went down to reception to try and explain the situation but was told it was too late for anything to be done and was offered another room which was worse than our room, so we decided we would have to stay put. A can was sprayed for the ants and we had to sort and clean the fridge out ourselves (not what I intend to do on my annual holiday).
We were due to be picked up for the airport on Monday 25th August at 17.50. On Sunday a notice was put under our door to notify us that the water to the whole of the holtel would not be available from 10am until 19.00 due to maintenance work. We went to reception and asked if there was an alternative they could provide us with and the reply was no and they suggested we use the showers on the beach!!!! (how indignant). That meant we could not spend a day on the beach as we had done everyday of the holiday, we had to stay in the shade. In effect we lost a days holiday which was very dissapointing, as it is 1 week in the year saved for to have a stress free holiday!!!"Top Tip:

"LA Jabega is a good hotel well managed and with a good maid service, i would recommend this hotel, for its position in the town, right in front of the beach and central location.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and hopfuly will return

"We spent a week here in May and enjoyed it so much we had another four days in July. We requested a seaview room on a low floor and were delighted to be given both. The room was basic but adequate but the large balcony overlooking the beach easily compensated for this. We shall definitely be returning."

"The hotel La Jabega was very clean and tidy. Our apartment was cleaned every day with fresh towels and the beds made. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. It is situated directly over the road from the beach and we had a decent sea view. I would recommend this accommodation and would not hesitate to stay there again."
