"The hotel was clean and the staff were accommodating, polite and friendly. The hotels on the continent are different from the uk, tea and coffee are not available in your room. Breakfast was a self service buffet affair which was nice but again different from the uk (which is no bad thing). Lots of fruit, meats, cheese and breads. There were a couple of hot options too.

The hotel is great for couples or any person over 20, it's fairly close to the train station and the beach, but it is also adjacent to a busy road so not too safe for kiddies. There is a fairly steep step up to the front door too which may prove problematic for parents with small children and would be very problematic for anyone who requires a wheelchair or has difficulty walking.

The hotel is very clean and I would stay there again

One thing to note, there are ladies of the night offering their wears close to the hotel"
Top Tip:
"The train station is a 10 min walk away where Monaco can be reached in 20 mins! and only costs 6.50 Euros for a return jorney.

The trams are amazing, so cheep, frequent and clean. Get a day tcket for 4 Euros which will allow you tram and bus travel for the day, a bargain!!!!

Buy water and juice in the local Casino mini-markets, it approx. 1 Euro a bottle as cafes can be expensive. You will need lots of fluids in the hot days if you are walking as much as we did.

Make sure you budget for trips to museums as they are not free

A bottle of beer in a pub / cafe costs an average of 5 Euros so make sure you budget for that too.

Nice is amazing, go there with an open mind, embrace it and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Excellent Hotel, good location - four streets back from the main promenade which was good as it was quieter. Good distance to shops, plenty of bars and resturants in Nice to explore. Rooms were modern, large and good bathroom. Had air con, flat screen tv, fridge and electric shutters which were good!

Staff were great and would really recommend! Will stay again!"
Top Tip:
"To find the hotel - look for Westminster Hotel which is Pink about half way along the main promanade and walk straight up the street that is to the side of it. La Malmaison is just up there about four streets up! To find the main shops come out the hotel and turn left and keep walking for about 5/10 mins and you will see them."

Room good size with a nice balconey.Staff very hepfull with lots of good advice."

"Restaurant " Franchin" 10 rue Massenet-Nice great french food.
Villa Deste 6 rue Massena-Nice great Italian food.

"Good clean Hotel, close to the Beach and restaurants. Great if you are in Transit as they have free parking right outside. Be early to breakfast as it's slim pickings if you're a late riser. Great balcony to share over a glass of wine."

The rooms are of medium to large size. They are furnished in a modern style with dark wooden furniture. The bathrooms are fully tiled. Rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition.

The breakfast room is located just behind the reception. It is furnished in a modern style with dark wooden furniture. At the back there is a small bar area which features three very large, dark brown lamp shades. The main restaurant is on the ground floor. It is furnished and decorated with an opera theme, including bright red walls, many black and white photographs and colourful posters.

This is a traditional building, painted in beige. The entrance features a long brown canopy.

This is a modern elegant property in an excellent location. ( 0808/ss )
