  • "Excellent value hotel which was scrupulously clean and reception staffwere friendly and efficient throughout our stay. Rooms were cleaned daily and breakfast which was included in the price was better than expected.

Only negative was that the pool was very deep and therefore unsuitable for our small child."

  • Audrey from Sheffield reviewed the Las Rampas Hotel

  • "Excellent 3 star hotel. The rooms we had were very clean and modern with a maid service every day. The bathroom was fully tiled and again very modern. Although the swimming pool area wasn't very big it was clean and tidy and quiet. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we were to return."

  • Top Tip:

"Fuengirola itself was very run down and needed updating, but we were only there for 4 days and there was plenty to do in the local area. Gibraltar was a great day out and so was Benalmadena."

  • Lester from Southampton reviewed the Las Rampas Hotel

  • "Very nice hotel only a few minutes walk from the train station in Fuengirola. Very close to the beach and all the restaurants. An ideal location and will probably use it on our next visit to Fuengirola.
Nice pool, good breakfast, reasonable size room and bathroom. The waterfall in the central coutyard plus the many plants gave the place a nice ambience."

  • Top Tip:

"For a more peaceful drink, visit the Spanish bar in the square just in front of the variety theatre. Generous glasses of wine and a nice selection of tapas to buy, although we were given a free one with the first pair of drinks we ordered."

  • Gareth from ST ASAPH reviewed the Las Rampas Hotel

  • "We stayed 2 nights in the Las Rampas. We arrived from Malaga Airport by train and it is within a short walk from Fuengirola Railway Station, just following the signs for Dunnes. We stayed half board and the food choice at breakfast and in the evening was excellent. The room clean and a good size. The hotel has a very Spanish feel and is located above a shopping Mall, with the reception accesed by lift on the second floor. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice enough. Very close to plenty of places to eat/drink, and a short walk to the beach. Would go back again on any future visit to Fuengirola."

  • Brian from Dungannon reviewed the Las Rampas Hotel

  • "This hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. We were half board and the night we arrived it was just after 10pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm but the guy at reception rang down and the made us chicken and chips with side salad which we all glad of after a long day travelling. Our room didnt have a balcony, which suited us ok as we had our 2 year old daughter with us. I'm not sure if any of the rooms have a balcony. Very slippy around the pool area and it doesnt seem to get the sun until late in day but the beach is only a 5 - 10 min walk so we just went there. Breakfast is fine but I wasnt sure about the evening meals some were ok but we still ate out a few nights but I like eating outside while on holiday. Overall we would stay here again."

  • Top Tip:

"The best eating out area seemed to be past Pat and Adrians Scottish bar. If you walk up past there there are some lovely eating places and O'Briens pub is there also. We had a chinese one night and Italian another and they were both very nice. Also there is a lot of buskers around so its good entertainment while you are eating or drinking. Make sure and go to Fuegirola Zoo its opposite the Police station. It was excellent at night (but i would like to see it during the day also)and is open to 12am. There is an african show which is quite good and it starts at around 10.30pm. Also dont miss Tivoli World. It is in Benalmadena. Just get the train it is only about 1.60euro or something like that return. Get off at Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel. Go up the steps to bring you outside. Turn left and follow the road around and go up the hill and you will be in Tivoli World car park. Think the train runs until 10.55 pm or so. Dont miss the haunted house that you walk through its excellent. If you have a heart condition give it a miss!!!! Buy a super tivolino it gets you on most rides and will save you a lot of money in the long run. Think they are 12 euro. Overall Costa del Sol is an excellent family location."

  • JOHN from SUNDERLAND reviewed the Las Rampas Hotel

  • "The hotel entrance, being next to the entrance to an underground parking lot, belies what the hotel has to offer. Once onto the second floor, by lift, the true magnificence of the hotel unfolds with wide expanses of marble and tiles. Set over two floors, with shops below, the rooms are clean, well decorated, quiet, spacious and airy.

I requested a room with a balcony, and was surprised that our request was met, with sea view to boot, as the hotel has less than half a dozen rooms with balconies.

Only drawback was lack of bar or entertainment, although these can be found within 50 metres of the hotel, so no major problem.

Breakfast was more than adequate comprising of continental and English, with as much to eat as required.

I would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, but because of the influx of Spanish, would not recommend "High Season" as the hoards descend in volume."
