  • "Just returned from a really nice holiday at this hotel. You need to do your research before you come here, it is not suitable for people who have problems with steps and hills, but thats what gives it its wonderful views. The other thing which may put some people off is the fact that there is nowhere close by to walk to for a drink etc in the evening, you would need to get a taxi or bus. Apart from these minor problems, it is a very nice hotel and is a particularly good price for all inclusive"

  • Top Tip:

"Try to get out to see more of Corfu, it is really a beautiful island with stunning views, Corfu Town has a really lively atmosphere and there is quite a bit of history to see."

  • "Corfu is a lovely place, really hot, the staff were very friendly and helpfull, Bus service to Corfu town was frequent and cheap. The hotels private beach was nice. If you have walking difficulties you might find it slighty difficult here as there are lots of stairs, as it seems is most of corfu as it is hilly, but still a beautiful place."

  • Top Tip:

    "Corfu Town Great Shops
Aqualand Great place for all the family
Boat trip to Paxos and Blue Lagoon Beautiful"

  • "In general the holiday was enjoyed, rooms are very basic, food was great, bar staff and other staff needed an injection of humour, smiles etc. Entertainment for kids at night and during the day was great. Lots of differant nationalities."

  • Top Tip:

"Great restaraunt in Benitses just down 10 mins in taxi Georgopails Spirio, if renting a car also do it in Benitses its alot cheaper that the one in the hotel."

  • Mary from St Helens reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "Having read some of the feedback wasn't sure what to expect, however, the hotel exceeded our expectations with panoramic views and a varied menu every night from the main restaurant (buffet) - the deserts are to die for!. The A la Carte restaurant, however, although producing excellent food was extremely restrictive in a choice of three main dishes and this menu did not change in our two week stay!
Overall I would recommend this hotel to couples and families with young children as excellent value for money- there is little for teenagers to do. The only thing the hotel is missing is a gym!"

  • Top Tip:

"The boat trip to Paxos and the Caves at Anti Paxos is a great day out.
It is also worth getting the green bus from Corfu to Agios Gordios for a really good sandy beach and an excellent choice of restuarants"

  • Alison from Gravesend reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "The hotel was nice everyone was really friendly. However our room was very basic we had a bath but no shower. Rooms were cleaned everyday except Sunday. The rooms in the actual hotel block have just been refurbished. We used one the day we checked out and we were impressed but disappointed that our room was not as nice as that. Please don't go to this hotel if you don't like walking there are about 80 steps to and from the beach and the hotel is on a hill. Our room was fairly high up the hill so we had a long climb every time we left the hotel after dinner, breakfast etc. The aircon was good which was needed as we went in July and the weather was hot in the 90's.
Main restuarant food was ok but tended to always be cold what ever time you got there.

Entainment was good for small children but not for adults."

  • Top Tip:

"The hotel beach resturant had the best food. Every day from 12noon to 3pm they cooked fresh pasta to order. Home made pizza fresh chips etc.
Resturant in Benitses a short bus trip away right on the beach just called Mediterranean resturant."

  • "Very clean hotel and the reception staff were very good
Food was of a good standard for a hotel but the drinks were of very poor quality
The la carte and lunch time meal served on the beach were excellent
Room was very clean but very basic and needs updating"

  • Top Tip:

  • Rachel from Windsor reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "The all inclusive food looked great, but tasted pretty bad. Everything was drenched in either salt or vineagrette which suggested it wasnt really fresh.

Otherwise the resort was good. Rooms were dated and basic but were clean and adequate. The beach was in good order and the pools were clean and nice. Although I believe the resort was almost at capacity it didnt feel crowded.

They did well to accomodate our group as were about 60 people who had spent a week driving in a rally. However, after driving 3000 miles in 8 days for charity and arriving at 12.05am they refused to give the guys a drink at the bar which closed at midnight - I thought this was a little mean and robotic of them."

  • Top Tip:

"No - not really. All the restaurants served exactly the same food. I once chose a Mousakka thinking they couldnt really go wrong with that - but I've had much better from Iceland frozen supermarket...
Prices were largely over inflated, and the current Euro conversion ensured we were paying "london prices" for cheap local Mythos beer (around 3 or 4 euros a bottle which = £2.70-£3.60). Cocktails were between 5 and 8 euros - again a little on the pricey side for a basic island resort.
Benitzes is worth a visit as is corfu town as both have their attractions"

  • Giles from London reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "The room was basic but adequate, nice view of the sea
    Access to beach was good
    Swimming Pools good
All inclusive food was really quite bad, lots of choice but very low quality
Taxis etc were quite expensive, probably doubled their prices for tourists
but provided good access to the island.
Some of the restuartants in Corfu town were really expensive for what you got another example of tourists prices. On the whole was quite difficult to find somewhere decent to eat on the Island.
No real nightlife, so either walk to Benites for a bar or take a taxi to Corfu town for a night on the tiles"

  • Top Tip:

"Take a taxi to Agios Gordis on the east side of the island, about 25 euros but well worth it for a day trip. Nice beach, water sports, hillside climbs and we had the best food of the whole holiday there."

  • John from London reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "This resort was excellent in my opinion. Contrary to some reviews on the internet the food was very good (although not always English). The weather was excellent and there is a Private beach. Staff are nice and perama is a beautiful place. The Resort is on the side of a Mountain and the Beach is at the bottom. There is a snack bar and bar at the beach."

  • Top Tip:

"Corfu is about 30 mins away on the bus and the supermarket (shop) on the road opposite the resort sells most of the basic things that you may require. Remember that Greek plugs are a different shape but you can buy an adapter from an electrical shop in corfu (opposite side of the road to the point where you disembark from the bus) for 2 or 3 Euros‘."

  • Patricia from Wirral reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "Hotel in a quiet but beautiful location about 15 Km from Crofu Town, which is easily reched by bus and taxi. Hotel public areas very modern and clean, gardens and pool areas beautifully kept. Rooms well below average for a 4* hotel. On arrival one of the beds in one of our rooms had no bedding. The bathroom was left uncleaned for 4 days, although after speaking with reception staff this was rectified and clean towels were left each day. This seemed to be a problem for most people. Hotel food although not wonderful was okay and plentiful. Restaurant and bar staff very friendly and professional."

  • Caroline from Gloucester reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "The hotel and setting was great, however the standard was not 4*. There was'nt much choice at meals and the food was luke warm to cold most of the time. There was not any fresh fruit available apart from what was cut up but even then there was not enough of it. The animation team did their best but we expected a more professional entertainment in the evenings. The hotel staff did nt seem to be enjoying their work, this could have been because it was the end of the season but some of the reception team were quite abrubt. They have a customer relations person in the hotel who was excellent and some of the staff should follow her lead. However the beautiful views and private beach with its great looking seating area and the main bar terrace looking over the sea sort of compensated."

  • Gladys from Fulwell reviewed the Aeolos Mareblue and Resorts Hotel

  • "this hotel and resort was once a timeshare type resort therefore it is quite spread out and all accommodation is of different types. a lot of steps and inclines when getting from place to place at hotel and can be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties. on the plus side hotel staff always helpful, food good and plenty of it. at present in throws of refurbishment but not everything done yet but very relaxing."
