"We thought the hotel fulfilled all our needs and the staff were exceptionally helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone going on a short break. Not too sure if the pool area would be big enough in the height of the season, we get the impression it might be too crowded. Food was fine, more than enougth to choose from. Rooms basic but very clean and hotel overall was very clean. All in all a good choice of hotel for our stay."
Top Tip:

"this was our second stay in the maripins and again for the price we paid could not fault it . room was modern , clean & comfortable with good bathroom facilitys - big balcony with view over pool .
great location - surrounded by shops & bars .hotel has nice pool area plenty of seats / beds etc .
food was excellent quality & plenty of it .
all in all a very enjoyable stay ."Top Tip:

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maripins Hotel and would certainly recommend it. The staff were brilliant all the staff. Nothing was a problem you only needed to ask and you got the service. I cannot say a thing against any of the amenities or the staff."

"Yes we found Legends just around the corner a good bar also The Rose and Crown down the street. But I must say to avoid the The Rovers Return as I found it dirty and expensive and run by a scottish man who we were ashamed as we are scottish also The Swan Bar which is also Scottish down thumbs to these two. "I was very pleased with the hotel, it isnt luxurious but had everything you needed, the staff were very very helpful, the food was good and the the hotel was clean."

"great location clean and friendly food o.k alwayssomething to suit everyones taste good value for money entertainment not up to much but plenty of bars to explore nearby pool on the small side and be up early if you need a sunbed!! we spent most days on the beach was great."

"A great hotel in a nice resort. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food was quite impressive, the one niggle being having to buy water to drink with your meal, and meal times were very busy with quite a long queue forming outside the dining room. Remember though, that this was the busiest week of the year.
I would agree with other reviews that the pool is a little on the small side, and it was amusing to watch the early morning rituals of placing towels on the limited number of sun loungers. ( And no, they weren't Germans!) Set your alarm for 5.30am and you may be okay!
The entertainment was a little sketchy, some nights being better than others. However, trying to cater for different age groups and nationalities must be taxing.
The hotel is very clean, and well situated for the beach or railway station.

"We stayed at the Maripins in Malgrat De Mar, the hotel was excellent, the staff were really friendly and the food was fab, there was an excellent choice of foods and if you couldn't find something to eat that you liked you were either very fussy or anorexic!
There was 10 of us all together ranging from pensioners to children of 5 and we all had a fun time. We are seriously considering booking again for next year!"Top Tip:

"Not secure enough, we had items stolen from our room which were packed away in our cases ready for departure. There was no sign of forced entry we believe someone must have had a key to gain entry as we were on the third floor next to the lift and stairs so a busy area."

"This hotel is definitely worth it's 3 star rating, i am a fussy eater but i managed to eat there all the time the hotel was very clean. Francis on reception was very friendly. The hotel location was very good and central to everything.

"Clean room, decent air cond., good food with reasonable buffet selection & fresh cooked food from the grill.
Pool area pretty crowded, but excellent beach 2 minutes walk under the railway line, very clean & plenty of room. Beware sunbed & parasol 4 euros each
Evening entertainment variable...Flamenco dancers the pick.
Staff very helpful & polite
Recommend as good value for 3 star."Top Tip:

"Hotel rooms were requested to be together and sea views and we didn't get either of our requests met. The booking receipt at hotel showed as 2 separate bookings with different codes and reception staff at the hotel explained that was why rooms weren't allocated together although my booking was made as one?! We ended up opposite ends of 2 different buildings and couldn't have been placed further apart if they tried!
Hotel was pleasant, clean, and staff were helpful. In the restaurant we found we had to go searching for drinks as none were offered at the table despite drinks menus on the table. We often had to wait for food to be replenished so this involved many trips up and down to the food serving areas- not ideal with small childern to supervise also."Top Tip:
"Very well located near to shops, restaurants and beach. If travelling with children the mini train ride is a must with a great breeze on a hot day to cool you down.
The boat trip was fantastic and can be booked at the end of the street in Malgrat near to the beach entrance/underpass.

how ever when we booked this holiday we were not told that when we arrived at 6.00am that we would have to wait over 6hours to be able to get in to our room, so was not happy at all as i have got 2 children, and when we had been up all night, it was a night mare to say the least."Maripins Hotel check-in Date:

"Hotel was Basic but clean, the room was adequet air conditioned, but no hairdryer, which could have been a disaster, but we went to reception, and a kind receptionist lent hers from home. We found all the staff very friendly, and helpful.
Food in the Hotel restaurant was ok, some days better than others.
Beach just across the road, which was brilliant."Top Tip:
"Plenty of bars and restaurant, we tried, the Italian just 2mins away from hotel which was lovelycalled Dom Pepe well worth a visit.

"we enjoied our staying in the hotel allthoug we think they should vary the menu,we though to find more tipycal spanish dishes. luckily, the cooffe was very good. the room was clean, every day clean towels,the beds are not very comfortable for older people,staff very nice. poor night entertanment, beautiful and long promenade to Santa Susanna."
