  • "A central hotel that's really reasonably priced. Clean, comfortable and although a little basic it has everything you need from a hotel. Receptionists happy to help and can speak good English but will let you practice your spanish too! Definitely would recommend to tourists wanting somewhere central and comfortable."

    "Hotel is right next to an impressive old-build hospital and about 5 minutes walk from the infamous Sagrada Familia and the met stop which links you to bars, museums and beaches and more."

  • "The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.
    However, if you are going to Barcelona to party it is not the best spot."

    "The hotel is a short walk from the cathedral designed by Gaudi which is under construction and is a must visit."

Officially rated as a 1 star, we feel the Abalon Hotel Barcelona definitely deserves a 2 star rating. Whilst simple, the bedrooms are a good size and are clean and pleasantly furnished. There is a small lobby area with seating and a separate breakfast room. Located between the Parc Guell and the Sagrada Familia, it is easy to reach other central tourist areas by public transport. A good budget choice!

Taxi direct, 25 Euros, approx. 30 mins. Train (not direct), 6.50 Euros

Public parking is 3 mins. away from hotel
