"I only booked the hotel for a one night stop over to break the travelling up and wasn't expecting much from this 1 key hotel, I was very pleasangly surprised. The room was very spacious, nicely cleaned and equipped. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the swimming pool an absolute god send in the 35 degree temperature!"
Top Tip:
"There is a decent size Mercadona near by that looked like it stocked everything but we didn't use it just for the one night stay. The hotel doesn't have any catering facilities other than self catering so if you can't be bothered to walk the few metres to the local bars you might want to take food with you - we went out and it was good value for money."

"Stayed self Catering-rooms cleaned/beds Changed 3 times/wk.We had a upstairs apartment which gave us our own private roof terrace with shower as well as balcony with table and 4 chairs ideal for breakfast in the sun.
The apartments provided pool towels for their excellent outdoor swimming pool.
We had a view over the 17th Green of the Playa Serena Golf club."
Top Tip:
"Within a 3 minute walk you have excellent Tapas bars(a beer or wine with Tapas 1euro 80),including The Lady Lay(otherwise known as Bobs)they are also do excellent evening meals.You are a 7 minute walk from the main avenue with the excellent Bars and Restaurants.Roquetas is not really suitable for 18-25year group as there are no Night Clubs although you can drink till 4am in PB's again 3 minute walk from apartments."

"These apartments are great if your on a budget, great if your not ( although a little dated ) very good value for money. Short walk to beach and restaurants. April 2008 a little quiet at this time not a lot going on. Pool area looked O K but a bit too cold for us to sample."
Top Tip:
"Great Indian restaurant at the end of the main street to the right as u look towards the sea, if u like a curry. Opposite end of same street if u like more conventional food place called " la bodega " or similar.
Day trip, visit Almerimar, 3 seperate marina's and cafe's etc. Short car ride away, not sure on public transport but must do one."

"superb holiday, excellent appartments, cleaned with fresh towells every day,
2 changes of linen in a week, friendly helpful staff, lovely clean pool, ample sun beds, highly recommended"
Top Tip:
"oasis bar opposite playa luna, great staff, superb selection of free tapas, excellent meals.
Theo bar off main avenue. great entertainment, including sunday cabaret.
old pression pub, part of playa sol. 2 for one 7.00 p.m til 11.00 p.m
again great staff no watered down drinks, great value."

Apartamentos Minarete is a unique apartment complex and a part of the Playa Hotels situated in Costa De Almeria. The Apartments are situated at Playa Serena, in the Urbanisation of Roquetas de Mar only 500 m. from the beach and the pedestrian promenade.

Accommodation

The 100 one-bedroom apartments of the Apartamentos Minarete are equipped with bathroom, heating (in winter), ceiling fan with remote control, TV with more than 15 channels, and direct telephone. Each apartment consist of a living-room with a sofa-bed for 2 children or 1 adult, one bedroom with two beds of 1,05 x 2 m., a complete kitchen, and a balcony or terrace with garden.

Sports & Leisure

There is a swimming-pool (sun beds & bathing towels are free of charge). The sport centre of the complex is located 1 km away in a 13000 sq m area surrounded by vegetation .It features 5 tennis-courts, paddle-tennis, football-7, mini-golf and fitness centre (on payment)

Facilities & Services

There is a reception desk where safe deposit boxes are available for rent (on payment). At hotel Playasol (only 500 meters away from the apartments) there is the Acquaplaya health and beauty centre (on payment) and special facilities for children (on payment). The restaurant and bar are located at Hotel Playazul (only 250 m. away), where you can also find day and evening entertainment for children as well as for adults.

Useful Information on Distances

The hotel is located 33 km from Almeria Airport, 500m from the nearest beach and 4 km from the centre of Roquetas de Mar. Please note that all distances are approximate.
