"Had a great holiday in Monteplaya hotel, although the average age was 75+ this was actually an advantage plenty of sunbeds and no noise at night. The hotel is situated close to the local bars and nightlife and the main walk way was just outside the entrance. The rooms were in need of a coat of paint but they were spotless and cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The staff although not overlly friendly were helpful enough. The food was varied with only one poor meal choice over six days. The weather was mixed but always pleasantly warm a lovely resort although lacked nightly entertainment i.e tribute bands comedians etc.
Enjoyed our stay and would return for a short break."

"Staff friendly , only when we arrived as 2 girls we found that although we had booked a twin room, we had in fact been given a double. We were initially told that they were fully booked, but they did find us a twin in the end! They were also able to accomodate us (at small fee) for the last day until we were due to go on our transfer bus. Food ok, if a bit boring, mostly same each day. Otherwise hotel spotlessly clean, if decor a little bright and dated!"

"Overall we had a lovely time, the hotel was spotless, however, one of the receptionists was the most miserable i have ever come across. She was extremely rude to a few members of our group which spoiled the holiday"

"The hotel monteplaya was of a good standard. Very clean rooms and the food was good but not exciting. Had a lovely sea view at the front. Take the train to Barcelona for the day as it it well worth it. lots of things to do and the shopping is excellent. The train takes about an hour and a half. The Barcelona tour buses are very good value, they take you around all the sites and you can get on or off at any tourist site you want to see and stay as long as you like. Watch you bag in Barcelona, lots of pick pockets."

"we have stayed at this hotel before and would certainly come back again it is very convenient to the train station and also the town there are plenty of discos for the youngsters but we were not bothered by them it is very clean with excellent meals we would definately recommend it to our friends and family"
